Quality Moving & Storage

Quality Moving lived up to it's name. My crew was professional, friendly, and never stopped for a break. They were extremely careful with my belongings, and even swept the walk so they didn't track things into the house. Best move I've ever had--and I move so often that friends accuse me of being in the witness protection program.

In consultation with Quality, we 'staged' the move. We identified items that we wished to offer to our family or otherwise 'deaccession.' Once decisions were made, Quality packed items to be sent out of state, moved other items into storage, and helped us dispose of still other items. In the next stage we prepared for our move from one house to another and for storage of items for ourselves. This process took place over several weeks. I add that we were impressed with how little Quality permitted the unexpectedly [heavy] snows and freezes of early 2011 to interfere with the timing of our move. All went as scheduled even as the snow fell and the temperature dropped. I am writing in mid-April. Our entire move was not completed for about a month; Quality recently returned to our previous house to move outdoor furniture that had been buried deep in snow when we first moved. And, as always helpful, they removed still another round of now empty boxes! I should also add that, while the cost of the move may appear to be high to Angie's List members, the move was an unusually complex, multi-stage one involving multiple fragile items. The final cost fell in the LOWER half of the range estimated by various other firms!

Very professional from beginning to end. All of our belongings were well protected and handled carefully. The lead guy for our move was fanatastic--making us feel very confident that everything would be taken care of properly. One box ended up with some broken items (they brought it to my attention) and they offered to pay for it--however I declined...since it wasn't really their fault...I packed the boxes and knew that I hadn't packed it well for a move! All the guys were fast and friendly and had a sense of humor...made the stress of moving easier!

They arrived a few minutes early and had the furniture moved from my old apartment to my new place in less than an hour. An item was left in one of their trucks and they contacted me and returned it within a couple of days.

Outstanding. This is the third time within a month I have used Quality Movers. I am in the process of downsizing at a condo and liquidating an estate. They are price competitive, have secure storage at their headquarters (which is not far from me). What sets them apart is the high quality of interpersonal skills starting from the owner on through to each of the mover teams. They are all pleasant, careful, and kind. They go above and beyond in doing what is asked. I highly recommend them.

They did an amazing job from start to finish. The owner came out to meet with my husband to give him an estimate on the jobs. They were thorough and the estimate was clearly explained and precise. They moved both homes very efficiently and professionally. It was a snowy day, and they protected the floors from wet shoes by using "outdoor guys" and "indoor guys" in a sort of relay formation. It worked great. They did their best to get our furniture through those small South Minneapolis doorways leading upstairs and downstairs (even taking apart an elliptical machine to get it to go down the basement stairs). Everything arrived in the correct rooms (we had used labels on boxes) and was neatly stacked and organized so that we could still move about freely. There was no damage and we didn't lose anything. The movers were kind, considerate, professional, experienced and very personable. It was the best moving experience that either of us has ever had. We highly recommend them.

We needed movers to move furniture to clear space in front of windows that were being reconditioned. Quality Moving provided movers on short notice; they were on time, worked efficiently, were careful to cover floors and carpets to prevents any damage, and were friendly and courteous. They went the extra mile, bubble wrapping furniture when needed (without charge) and making helpful suggestions. We expected to have them back at the end of the day to finish the work, but because of problems with the windows, there were at least three delays. Instead of being irritated because I had to keep calling back and delaying their return, they were always understanding. When the work was finally finished (several days later than planned), they returned late in the day (about 6:00 p.m.) and again helped me rearrange and change two rooms with patience and good spirits. They even took our Christmas tree to the alley--not something they had contracted to do. These workers were extremely helpful and expert; and they were also simply very nice, congenial young men. I will use them again and recommend them to friends. In fact, I already have. Really A+.

The first company I contacted was not licensed to move across state lines. The second company was licensed for the job, and gave me a fixed bid of around $950.00. Quality Moving and Storage was the third company I contacted. They were also licensed for the interstate transfer, and told me that their billing rate was $105.00 an hour, portal to portal, billable in 15-minute increments. They estimated that with the drive time back and forth to Wisconsin, the whole job might take about 6-8 hours. They already had an excellent Angie's List rating, so I decided to go with them. The actual job took only 5 hours and 15 minutes, resulting in a bill of $551.25. They provided free boxes in advance, which I picked up at their office (they even loaded the boxes into the back of my car). They were held up in traffic on the way to my daughter's place, but they contacted her to let her know that they would be a little late. The move itself probably could not have gone smoother. Everyone that my wife, daughter, and I had contact with at this company was friendly and professional. I would definitely use them again and would definitely recommend them to friends.

The crew was careful and respectful of our belongings, some of which were cherished heirlooms. They were very professional: efficient, organized, quick paced. We could not believe how well they packed their truck, making use of every inch, yet taking care that items were wrapped and placed to avoid harm. They were also a pleasure to work with, personable and friendly. It was obvious they took pride in their work. We had thought about doing it ourselves, hiring local temps at both ends to load and unload. Thank goodness, we came to our senses and hired these pros. Worth every cent.

I found myself needing to move out of my house quickly. I called Nick Franta and made arrangements over the phone. We had to change our schedule a couple of times, and Nick was patient and flexible throughout. I can't say enough about the young men that work for him, they took extreme care of my possessions, were polite and professional and did everything I asked without hesitation. It was such a relief to have a company and men with such a 'can do' attitude. I really can't say enough good things about Nick and his crew. Thank you Quality Moving and Storage for making a difficult situation easier for me.

The crew showed up at our home right on time and were very professional. The safe was heavier than they expected, but they were eventually able to get it out of the house and into their truck without issue. The freezer was in a back room and the doorway was narrower than the freezer was. They were able to quickly remove the handle from the freezer, sealed up the freezer with plastic, and moved it up to the garage. We would highly recommend Quality Moving and Storage for any of your moving needs.

It was a wonderful experience, if I can say that about a move. They showed up exactly at 8:30, and got to work immediately. There were four men, and they were incredibly organized, professional, and very careful with all of our things. Furniture was wrapped, boxes were handled very well, and the move was done quickly and efficiently. I can't say enough good things about them, it was truly a terrific experience and I couldn't have been happier with the service. I would highly recommend them!

We had a few large items to move at a specific time on a Saturday. After calling around to several other moving companies Quality Moving was the only one that could meet our time-line, was reasonably priced and highly rated on Angie's List. We received a phone call the night before confirming the time we wanted the movers at our home and we received a call from the movers about a 1/2 hour before they arrived. They were on-time, professional and very careful with our furniture.

Went great. Moved furniture to my new place, moved some of it in, took some old stuff out, took all of that to a storage locker where they packed it in. I didn't think we could get it all in there, but they did it safely with room to spare. Moving included a beast of an old projection TV. Handled it with no problem. Professional, courteous, punctual. No damage to anything. Only took 5 hours, thought it would be much longer. Would definitely use them again.

I found Quality Moving & Storage on Angie's List. I gave a few others phone calls first with questions and Nick by far spent the most time in answering my questions. I spoke with him a few times over the course of two years and when my house finally sold, I called him up. The negotiations and changes involved in selling and buying a house were driving me crazy and I'd call Nick up, again, with moving date changes and he was always flexible. He was always calm, always courteous, truly the type of person you want to deal with during an incredibly stressful time. The guys showed up, however only with one truck. My jaw fell open. Nick the man in charge, knew right away another was needed so he left and got another. The other guys had plenty to do. They originally thought it'd be a 12 hour job but fortunately, they were done in less than 9. They were awesome, extremely hard working, strong, most had years of experience, they joked around, they took the edge off what could have been a miserable experience. I was able to relax more, focus more, be of help quickly to them. I spent weeks and LONG hours preparing and organizing (labeling everything, what it was and where it was going in the new house) so things would move quickly and it really helped. At least I wasn't standing around trying to make decisions at the new place of where stuff should go. It helped me also immensely in getting settled quickly and being able to find stuff. I was extremely happy with all aspects of the move and would definitely hire them again. I would NEVER move without using professionals. Once you see how these guys work, you'll understand! They were right on time and very efficient. All three men were great. They did their best to keep the carpets clean - not an easy task this time of year. Not a single piece was damaged.

I called for an estimate for a move 4 days from that date. They were available either morning or afternoon that day and he gave me an estimate on the spot. They arrived right on time (actually early) and were very efficient with the move. Nice guys! Would definitely recommend them.

I am satisfied with the service and professionalism of both management and workers. They arrive when promised, work hard and get the job done. Quality Moving & Storage is not the cheapest moving company but the extra cost is worth it for peace of mind. I would definitely call them for our next move.

They were very helpful and very pleasant. I decided against using temperature-controlled storage, but they answered all of my questions and I would consider using them if I needed them in the future.

We were moving from one home (still on the market) to another that we had just completed about 5 miles away. They were able to work with us to take what was needed and leave behind what was needed to stage the old home. At the new home, there is a tricky driveway and there was a bit of lawn damage that was taken care of within a week and looks as though nothing happened. Great service, great people and very efficient. There was a slight discrepancy on the quote vs. what was charged on a second move (when we sold the old home) and the owner quickly took care of the difference!

They did a great job. They picked up what we packed, and it went smoothly.

The movers were very flexible, fast, and did not break/scratch/harm any of our possessions. We would recommend these folks to anyone who needs moving service. We had a three person crew as we were moving into a 3rd floor walk-up. They did a great job and were careful not to scratch the wood floors in the new home.

My wife and I wanted to hire movers without breaking the bank. We called 3 companies and selected Quality Moving and Storeage because they were very upfront with us regarding cost. The basic premise being that the more we did prior to them coming, the less expensive the move would be. We undid the beds and packed household contents in boxes. They day of the move, these guys arrived on time at 8am with 4 guys and two trucks. They worked solid through the morning without taking long breaks. The furniture handled with care. They broke for a half hour lunch period and returned in the early afternoon to unload. We were done by 3pm. They unloaded with as much care as we loaded. Again, we didn't ask them to make up our beds.

When I initially made the arrangements I was working over email only with Nick, as I was not in MN. I missed a conformation email or call with the time they would arrive and had a panicky Saturday night-before-the-move, as Nick was out of town, but Dave worked everything out for me and the movers were here and ready the next morning. So, in the end this was no big deal. The movers were careful with my stuff, using blankets to protect stair railings, etc. and were kind and enthusiastic throughout. After the service was complete I got a prompt follow up phone call from Dave to be sure all had gone well-- and it had. I appreciated this check-in call.
