Great service by a professional team. Punctual, courteous and efficient.

With exception of being 1 of 4 movers being late. All went extremely well. They worked as a team that knew individual assignments. Amount of time spent meant our expectations.

Fabulous service. This is our second time using this company and would do it again. Prompt, efficient - had many guys there to load the truck. The owner also advised them on best ways to pack the truck to protect the boxes, furniture and many large canvases. He also made sure they covered items with the moving blankets to prevent scratches, etc. We drove it down and everything made it - not a single thing damaged or broken. Would definitely recommend them!

Quality Moving and Storage were the best household movers I've hired, and I've used may. They were on-time, responsive, flexible, friendly and just all-around great. They managed my many logistical issues with professional and good will. They were also very helpful with my Angies List Big Deal.

There were no additional costs beyond the price of the deal. There were two crew members who completed the job. Everything turned out fine.

3 strong men showed up on time. We had already packed all the boxes and placed them in the garage. The movers got all our furniture and boxes load and also made a side stop to one of our storage units to drop a few things off before unloading at the condo. We were on the 2nd floor across a stairwell and they chose to use the stairs which made it go quicker as the elevator was down the hall. Everyone was professional and took care of our belongings. Only a minor mishap with a very expensive exercise machine and an extra long lunch . All in all the move went well and we were pleased with the service.

I purchased an Angie's deal ($200 in services for $150). For the moving day I requested a team of three as the website recommended that this was the best price point. They showed up on time, but with four movers. I figured it wasn't that big of a deal since they'd get done faster. I was trying to be conscience about cost more so than time. Having little furniture and all boxes prepared and ready to go, there was no delay with the move process. In fact one of the movers told me this was one of the best prepared moves he had worked. They moved quickly and showed care for the TV's, lamps, wood furniture, etc.. The move out went fast. The move in was choreographed nicely. Being a new home they transitioned the furniture in a protected area of the front entry. There were minimal snow and dirty shoe issues on that very cold day. The actual move time was just over 2 hours. I had budgeted for 3 movers about 2.5 hours at $150/hour ($375). I was a bit shocked at the overall bill ($600). I didn't realize the pricing was for drive time to and from their home office. I see that they do state this on their website. Overall I am pleased with the move.

The service from Quality Moving & Storage Of Edina & Hudson did fine. They were on time. They estimate was correct. I have no objection with this service. They moved armor. They were on time and did the job efficiently. They got it without damage. It was done fine. My interaction with the provider was fine no problem. I spent about 200 more than the big deal of 149. I used their services about a week later than the big deal purchase. I would use this provider again in the future.

The packers were very efficient, careful, respectful and cooperative.

They seemed fine. I eventually went with another provider due to convenience.

It was very good. They were very fast and efficient. We wanted some things to be put into storage and they were here and took care of it very quickly. They were pretty good. The price was very reasonable. The quality was very good. One of their trucks broke down but he called me to tell me they were going to be late so that was very good.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased and we purchased two of the coupons. It was good. The movers were nice and efficient. The one thing we didn't like was that they said there would be another guy and he didn't show until much later.

Easy to work with. Due to weather they were running a little behind, but they called to let me know and were very apologetic. Guys were very polite and great to work with. Delivered the chair without issue.

It went great. They were a just couple of minutes late but they moved everything just fine and wrapped my daughter's mattresses and box springs so they wouldn't get dirty. She has a king-size, pillow top bed so I know it was very heavy and the hallways were narrow. They had some sort of maintenance issue with the truck so they stopped following my route and took a different way. I was a little surprised that they added on 15 minutes each way for "travel time." I don't know if that is standard because I haven't used movers before, but it wasn't something I was expecting.

Second time I've used them but had packers this time who did a great job. Quick and careful, which is good because it's expensive. Happy with this company all around.

Everything went well, they provided the boxes and packed the day before. Only a few fragile things broke in the move, nothing of extreme value.

Lovely, lovely service. We were helped by four young men who were very professional and polite. All worked very hard and the job was done well and very quickly.

We had used quality movers before. Both times went well.

We hired 3 people that worked for 3 hours, a $450 value which we paid $400 for, by using an Angie's list Big Deal...tipping them $75. They showed up promptly, worked efficiently and professionally, moving a lifetime of furniture and boxes without incident. (Actually an old fiberboard tv stand fell apart which we were grateful for, something that should have been replaced years ago! They brought it to our attention and apologized.) Pleasant, respectful young guys, had good suggestions for how they could make our job easier (we had planned to take clothing in our cars...they had cardboard wardrobes they put all the hanging clothing in...things like that).

February 28, 2014 To: Angie?s List From: James and Dianne Thomas, Customers Re: Complaint about Quality Movers & Storage This is a letter of complaint regarding moving services and charges provided by Quality Moving and Storage (?QMS?) from December 16, 2013-December 20, 2013 for James and Dianne Thomas. The issues have not been resolved. It was our hope that the problems would be addressed in a professional and timely manner by QMS. QMS was unprepared even though they had several walk through visits, took pictures of everything being moved, measured doorways and furniture to ensure they fit. Nick Franta, an owner of QMS, who was absent for the move, said that pictures would assist him in accurately planning for the move. QMS knew exactly what was needed for the move. We attempted to resolve our complaint by requesting a meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at our former residence with Nick and Dave Franta, owners of QMS. The objective was to discuss the chaos, damages, destroyed art, missing household items and bed parts, overcharges, lack of supervision, misplacement of items, redirecting delivery of household items to QMS storage, unsold articles, leaving unassembled exercise equipment and leaving household items in the garage at our new residence, where it remains. We also wanted to discuss the unfinished move and how they failed to provide basic services, along with Nick?s verbally agreement to sell specific household items in 4-5 days. He stored those items. Nick stated, ?I refuse to sell the items (referencing items in his possession that he agreed to sell), because you complained to Angie?s List.? Dave was hyperbolic and paced throughout the half-hour meeting.? QMS should return all items that were being sold to our storage facility. Nick agreed to resolve our complaint by Thursday, 2014, but failed to keep his word, nor did he contact us to request more time. It has now been over 2 months without resolution, -finish moving, installation and return of all household items. The following is our demand to resolve this complaint: ?Replacement and repair cost of items damaged $16,150 ?Repayment for moving overcharge of $7,074 ?Pay replacement value for items in storage without permission $55,000 or return undamaged ?Reimbursement for or return of missing printers/scanner (HP8600 & Photo smart & HP& HP scanner) return or replacement $1,575 ?Oversize display bottle of Bvlgari $750 ?Oversize display bottle of Boucheron $1,600 ?Assorted designer perfumes $4,400 ?Pressure cooker, rice cooker, coffee maker $350 ?Silverware & designer Dishes $25,000 ?Designer purses, shoes etc. $10,000 ?Replacement or return of other household items (TBA) On January 3, 2014, QMS notified me that they placed my property in storage without permission. On January 3rd and 6th, we emailed QMS and requested our belongings. On January 9, QMS responded by demanding payment for return of our property. They are attempting to extort us for additional payment by holding our belongings hostage. We demanded our property be returned immediately to the designated storage location. Before beginning the move, Nick set the hourly rate for a truck and 5 men at $250 per hour. During the move, QMS employees were confused, which was a result of a lack of instructions from Nick. MS left our new garage packed to the ceiling with household items and boxes. They didn?t reassemble household items with the exception of a sofa and piano. QMS partially assembled one out of three beds, and all beds now have parts missing. Exercise equipment remains in the garage and the assembly hardware is still missing even after repeated requests. On December 16th, Mr. Mack and I traded homes and hired QMS for the move. QMS charged us $6,075. QMS?s one-day charge was then escalated to $10,000 between -Mr. Mack $2700, for a move that consisted of ¼ truckload. We were charged $6075 for some packing and one truckload of boxes and furniture. The charges are grossly inflated and possibly exceed the possible total revenue for everyone on the QMS Edina payroll. The state should check the payroll tax records. The fact is they had to many employees that were standing around waiting for someone not there to tell them what to do. QMS refused to finish the move. We had to hire another moving company for several thousand dollars to remove household items QMS had placed in garage and basement stacked from floor to ceiling. QMS charged us a total of $9396. An overcharge of $7,047 should be refunded to us. Based on another moving company bid and cost to complete move. Also QMS did not itemize the entry for $200 plus charged for supplies. December 16, 2013 QMS was given a list of 38 household items to move. They moved only 3 items on the list!!! ?QMS verbally stated that they would cover all damage for 100% of the replacement value. This letter is our claim for damages to our personal property as follows: ?Glass and Bronze Runners (art) broken and shattered. Please return this item to us to allow for identification of its replacement. Estimate of replacement cost $3500. ?The Lady, ebony statue, has a fractured skull and a large piece of the head is missing. Repair cost $6,000 by the Minneapolis of Institute of Art, who had performed a restoration. The Institute of Arts curators took one year to restore her to museum quality. The statute didn?t have any damage. It?s obvious that she was dropped on her head or knocked into a hard surface during the move. Dave QMS brought this damage to my attention. We observed QMS employees carrying statutes without protection. ?Jade Dragon Wagon sculpture was undamaged, prior to QMS moving it. Replacement cost $2500. This sculpture is very delicate and hand carved from a single piece of jade, which makes the carving unique. With an unconvincing denial of responsibility QMS movers showed James the hook that was broken off, which QMS alleged happened to be lying next to the Dragon Wagon. The fact is QMS movers broke the statute prior to removal from our residence and claimed no knowledge of the breakage. ?White Egyptian chest was in perfect condition, prior to QMS moving it. It wasn?t protected. Replacement cost $2,200. There was a large piece of wood that was broken off lying next to it. It is highly unlikely that almost all items damaged would have the fragment lying next to it?unrealistic to occur several times during a move of household items. Once again, QMS movers showed James a damaged leg. The damage was done by QMS and was not just a discovery of damage. It was clear negligence. ?Black lacquer headboard and mirror (two pieces). This item was dropped, damaged and takened to be repaired by QMS without our knowledge and consent. Replacement cost for set $19,500. We weren?t given an opportunity to inspect our headboard. Only after we inquired into the whereabouts of our Henderdon bed headboard, which is part of a matching set, did we find out about the damage. QMS attempted to conceal destruction and damage. We learned that QMS dropped the headboard in the alley. ?Black Maternity porcelain, statute. Estimated replacement cost $600. This is a very delicate statute.Mother with child toes is broken off the left foot. ?Half mahogany tables with chips out of them and scratches. Estimated replacement cost $2,500. There weren?t any chips and scratches on household items. ?We demand that all damage items in the possession of QMS be return to our designated site immediately at no charge ?Three missing multi-purpose printers, one brand new HP8600 and 2 other printers and HP scanner. We have been unable to conduct our business without multi-purpose printers and have had to pay for services. Estimate replacement cost $1,575 In a later telephone conversation about the chaotic move, Nick shared that they had never moved a large residence. He admitted that the move didn?t go smoothly, but he though it was a great success. How can he totally deny serious problems with the move? Nick (and QMS) failed to fulfill our verbal moving agreement. The move was a complete disaster. Nick had informed us that he would be present the entire time of our move, but he completely failed to show up. We were extremely disappointed and highly concerned with the lack of organization, supervision, too many employees, standing around and asking us what they should do, unprotected art and furniture that resulted in breakage, damage, destroyed art, deep chips, cracks, parts missing, lack or no prep of household items, a serious lack of care for our property, missing technology and household items. In summary, Angie?s List I hope that you can help us resolve the issues and return of all our personal items without any additional cost and replacement of damaged items.
