Krech Exteriors

I think they did a great job. We called several siding companies and interviewed four. We did a cost comparison and Krech and Eagle Siding were within a few hundred dollars of each other with Krech being higher. We choose Krech because the salesman seemed to be more knowledgable and had done construction himself. There were a couple of issues that had to be fixed but Krech took care of them simple and easy. Some of the things I thought were great include, the warranty on the roofing materials from GAF were covered even if Krech goes out of business and they helped redesign our front porch. The redesign was not a complicated change but they listen to what we wanted, made some suggestions and it turned out great. The only thing I was not totally happy about was the painters. They had to paint late in the season (late October) and they seemed to rush the job.

Extremely poor customer service, no return phone calls. No estimate was ever provided.

They were very prompt, thorough and gave a great presentation. I received 5 bids, and they and one other were tied for the highest with about a $10K spread on a $80K job. To their credit, they appear to take extra steps to prevent moisture problems in the future, but I had a hard time swallowing the price difference. I'd consider them a good candidate to consider in this type of work.

It started by a friend recommending them when I was getting bids on replacing my windows.Once I heard their bid I decided to give them a go. They were efficient and professional and answered all my questions (I had a lot). When I received hail damage, I called them directly as they did such a great job on my windows. They took the hassle out of dealing with the insurance company and making sure I got what I needed. They made some great suggestions to upgrade my roof too and I LOVE the look! When they were out estimating my roof they mentioned covering the overhang as it was starting to get old and damaged (it was wood). I had them come out two months ago and cover it with no maintenance vinyl and it looks fantastic! They have become my go to people for house work!

.I would definitely recommend them and have already recommended them to neighbors. The quality is fine. We had some faulty roof tiles that this company helped us to get a refund for.

Mike was great to work with during the informational and planning stages. He was knowledgeable about air flow and how much or little we needed. And the installers did a beautiful job. We're very pleased with the end result. The only glitch we had was that the installers ran out of material with a small area to finish. But once the additional material was received, the job was immediately finished. Our new soffits are such a nice improvement to our home.

While we certainly had lower bids, none were as detailed as Krech's. Installation is at least as important than the materials used and Krech and their subs are all certified by GAF allowing them to offer a warranty from GAF not only on materials but also on installation. With a large association the logistics, cleanup, and coordination with homeowners was extremely important to the board. In every aspect Krech exceeded our expectations. For any project, large or small, I have no hesitation recommending Krech.

I like the company and I had some work done by them in the past, which was good. I actually didn’t have the estimate this time as they didn’t follow through; so I don’t think they could do the job. I will not use them in the future.

This project went very well from the first knock on my door thru clean-up and completion inspection. All questions were answered in a timely fashion and addresses for their work for me to look at were provided almost immediately. Would most definitely recommend this company if you have roofing needs. I did have a couple questions that did take a day or 2 to get back to me, but all in all very good company to work with.

We noticed some discoloration in our livingroom ceiling, and thought that perhaps we had some sort of leak occurring in the roof. We called to have someone check it out. He was prompt, professional, throrough. He went into the ceiling area to see if he could find the source of the leak - and found nothing indicating any leak whatsoever. Also, being it was winter with snow on the roof, it wasn't feasible to climb up so he advised us to monitor it and call back in the spring if we wanted the roof inspected. All of this was no charge.

They were prompt and responded to questions/calls quickly. Did the work quickly as well.

The 2-man crew was friendly and conscientious. They had a couple of suggestions for tweaking the installation slightly to improve performance and appearance. Great ideas! The gutters look great, and they are working perfectly thus far. I'd work with Krech again on future projects!

They were very professional and everything was handled very well. I was very happy with them.

When it was all said and done it was satisfactory. There were some problems throughout and it took way longer than expected. They totally misquoted the time frame. They broke windows while removing the stucco. The things that went wrong they made them right. They did a lot of jobs in my neighborhood and most were done in the quoted time.

They did very good work. They were high quality providers. They met their cost estimate and their timing. I am very satisfied.

It was fine. They were very helpful but I didn?t go with them.

Good price, poor project management, and mediocre siding work. The job involved 4 different people for the various phases (carpenters, siding, sheetrock & plaster). The carpenters were great, finished their work in a day. The plaster & siding wasn't completed until more than a month later, despite my weekly follow-up calls. The sales guy/project manager had poor communication skills and I had to constantly contact him to see when the next phase was going to start or be completed. The siding guy was unreliable in showing up when he said he would, and ultimately had a hard time putting up seamless siding the blended well with the existing exterior. He used existing siding from my garage and ended up leaving the garage looking patching & poorly matched. Ultimately, this was a small job, just 1 window, and they treated it as such -it appeared to be a low priority for them and were slow to respond to communications & slow to finish the job.

The estimator came out and we went over what needed to be done with the gutters. I also had some specific instructions on how I needed a couple of the downspouts routed. We received an estimate that was on par with the other estimates we received. We had heard good things about Krech from other home owners so we decided to use them. After a downpayment it was about a week before we heard anything from them to set up a day to replace the gutters. If this is normal, then I would move my "Responsiveness" up to a "B". The day the work was to be performed the crew showed up on time but they were unable to start the work because they didnt call Qwest to put boots on the power line to protect the installers. I think most of the job could have been completed on Friday except where the power line was. They came back on Monday and got most of the work done. Finished the job on Tuesday. The gutters look great. The downspouts were installed as instructed. Clean up was pretty good except for a few metal brackets I found in the lawn. I suggest doing a walk around before mowing.

I would say the roof its self is an A+. I would rate their additional work a B because it took them a while to organize the project with their carpenters. The carpenters were not that pleasant to work with wither. If I ever needed a new shingle job I would use them again.

Bill came out to give us an estimate, He was on time and very helpful and we decided to use Krech. The gutter crew were great to work with and for the most part the did a execellant job with a few minor problems that were corrected. I do have a few warranty issues that I will address in the near future. Now, on the install of the window wrap. Krech sub contrated that work out to another company. The crew they sent out either did not know what they were doing or didn't really care. I looked out and they were gone without even going over the job with us. I inspected the job and found it to be the worst form of craftmenship that I have ever seen in my life. I called Bill up and asked him to come out and take a look. I have 12 windows, a garage door and one other door that was to be wraped. Bill started to look at each window and by the time he was half way around the house he gave up and said the windows needed to be done over. A couple of days later a new crew from the same company showed up with a ATTITUDE and removed the wrap and re did the windows and doors. They had to use a solvent to remove the old caulk that the the first crew didn't remove, befor they could wrap and caulk the windows. When they were through they said thats the best they could do and left. I inspected the jobs and was satisified with the wrap and caulking. However when they useed solvent to clean the old caulk off they got some on the siding. I called Bill up and he came out to look at it and said he would have them come back out to clean it off. A week later Bill showed up and cleaned the siding. I asked him why he did this and he said they were too busy and it was just as easy for him to do it. I would consider useing them again ONLY if they used their own crew.

They seemed very responsive and timely. The bid was very competitive and overall, I was very happy with them.

They were slow getting back with me and when we got down to the nitty gritty of the project, they said they didn't have the time. They just left the information on our door step.

They were very punctual. They gave a simple presentation.

Krech was recommended by my insurance agent. Spoke with the office, who sent someone out to estimate the job. Within a week, I received a written estimate clearly outlining the work to be done (as well as a little folder containing information about the company, etc.). The prices were fair, I think. I chose to go with another company with whom I had worked in the past and who offered a better price on the work.

Work was slower to start than hoped. Calls to estimator not returned promptly, if at all. I would usually have to call the office to get a response from the estimator. IMO this was due to insufficient staffing/resourcing at Krech the company and not due to the character of the estimator. All work was done promptly, neatly, and of high quality by sub-contractors as is typical in the industry. Bid included painting of new wood soffit and fascia; however, early arrival of winter is delaying the completion of the painting until spring. Krech offered an initial hold back of $500 for the painting, but I negotiated a hold back of $1500 without any reluctance from Krech. Krech had replaced siding on garage last year, and during THIS job I got them to replace some damaged siding that resulted from poor workmanship at no cost.
