Roof replacement was timely and done well. Siding replacement took longer than expected, probably due to small job.

It went great from the initial meeting with Paul Recringer to the crew tha completed the actual work. Very professional & work go with them again in a heartbeat

They did the inspection within just a few days of my phone call. Called me back at the end of the week (I got the impression that all return phone calls were done at the same time each week) to let me know there was no noticeable hail damage. When I asked about general condition and whether it was time for a new roof anyway just due to age, he indicated that the roof was still okay and should be serviceable for a number of years yet. I was impressed by two things: (1) he asked me a question about my roof that he could have only known about if he actually went up there, so I was confident he actually HAD gone up, and (2) he didn't try to sell me a new roof TODAY when I don't need one for a few more years. That will make me definitely consider hiring them when it IS time for my new roof.

Tammy was very conscientious from her initial visit, all the way through the project. She did a great job making sure our work was completed on a timeline to accommodate another project. Krech installed our rain gutters a few years ago, and did a great job with that project as well. We would utilize their services again and would recommend them!

Short Version (For those who don?t like long reviews): We were very disappointed with our service. We had poor responsiveness from the sales rep and poor quality work. We also had issues with them ordering our siding, which put our gutter project on hold for months (they wanted to do them around the same time so they could be billed together?. Long Version: We had the sales rep come out on a Thursday evening, and he said he would have a quote to us by the next day. One week later when I hadn?t heard anything I followed up to get my quote. The rep claimed it took a while because he was verifying the manufacturer for the siding. At the time I was a little frustrated that he hadn?t contacted me to let me know, but it made sense. It took a month to get the siding color picked out and the quote signed due to the rep not responding to emails. He then claimed the job was about 3 weeks out. After 3-4 weeks were past, I was told it would be longer because they just learned the siding had to be special ordered. More than three months later, they learned the siding they special ordered didn?t work (somebody ordered the wrong size) and they needed to special order again?.. (I now wonder why the quote took so long to get and what the rep was "verifying" that took an extra week) Once the gutters were finally completed, I came home to raised shingles on the edge of the roof right where they were working. Thankfully, they sent someone back right away to fix it; however it should have been noticed when it happened and fixed right away, and we should?ve been notified. It was a pretty obvious issue that would have been noticed if they took the time to examine their work. I didn?t like coming home from work seeing they messed up my roof without me hearing anything about it.

Several years ago I had hail damage on my roof and we had dozens of contractors showing up to offer bids. I used Angies list to find a local contractor to replace my roof. Krech had some good reviews so I went with them and have no regrets. They explained the entire process and everything went smoothly. They worked with my insurance company and the most difficult task was choosing the color of shingles I wanted.

Siders were subcontractors and did not do a good job. Leaks and very uneven siding. Company refuses to fix corner pieces that are not straight . This was an obvious incorrectly installed.

Chris came out & determined it would be best to have insurance come out . He met w/ my adjuster and then worked well on scheduling.

I've had varied and strangely mixed experiences with Krech Exteriors after hiring them to redo the entire exterior on my home after storm damage. The original customer service rep I got wasn't very responsive and was later replaced during the process which didn't surprise me. The work was completed and my house looked great, but I did have follow up on a number of quality issues. I will detail those below and how Krech responded. I'm leaving out some details of other issues I had with the 1st rep for brevity. 1) After siding install was completed, I noticed 1/2 of my windows were missing silicone/poly sealant. I called and the next day the rest were completed. Strangely, before this happened the crew actually asked me the home owner where some of the sealant materials were and why they weren't there yet as if I was somehow in charge of that. I actually had to call Krech on the crews behalf and was told they should know where it is. Very strange. The sealant was done at very cold temperatures, so I'm not sure how well I trust the seals. I have to trust they used ploy that can be applied at 0C. Some of the seals are showing gaps now. Hmm. 2) As some other reviewers experienced, one of my cable lines was pulled out without warning/notice and where the line went in was sided over. I took it upon myself to drill a new hole and re-install the cable because I needed internet back online quickly and didn't have confidence in the Krech siding crew to reconnect it quickly and do it right. Strangely, the other cable line was left in. I expect notification and time of re-install of any line into my house pulled out. This was a fail. 3) Shortly after trim was done, a piece of edge drip trim fell off my house prior to gutter install. I noticed nails were too low and not seating in the wood. I nailed it back on myself correctly and requested full re-inspection of the trim install. Krech responded in a timely manner and had someone come out and check the rest of the house and said the rest looked OK after a short walk around. It seemed like a visual ground check only where I was expecting someone to go examine every inch of trim on the roof level. I would not be shocked if something else falls off in the coming years. 4) About 1 year after roof replacement, I had a water damage issue in a small 90 degree corner. I called Krech and requested warranty service. I will grant them that this it was hard to foresee how the water migration happened here. Someone was out the next day to inspect and take pictures. No assurances were given at that time leaving me feel nervous. Within a week they had a crew of 2 repair the damage and redo the roof flashing to prevent the issue free of charge. I was pleased at how they took responsibility and honored the "lifetime" guaranty. This went a long way for me in redeeming my impression of the company and is the reason why I gave them some A grades.

We were happy with the estimate turn around time, but couldn't fit it into our budget at this time.

I would definitely use Krech again! I think they did an outstanding job during the difficult time following a hail storm during which they had many jobs going at the same time.

Marvin stood behind the inferior quality windows and is doing a full replacement but Krech tried to charge over $6,000 for the new install, putting the total job at over $16K.. We were extremely disappointed, after making a large profit on the original project they were unwilling to cut any costs out of the re-install. A huge inconvenience and overall disappointment. We are going to another contractor for the re-install for half the cost and they didn't make anything on the original job.

Very pleased with the work, professionalism of the crew, and the overall manner of doing business (non-pushy, very straightforward in all dealings).
