DHI Sprinkler Systems

Excellent experience. Honestly, based on what I read here on Angie's List, I did not obtain bids for this work from anyone but Dale. Dale's communication was great throughout the process. He and his team showed up as scheduled and completed the entire installation in one day. He ended the day reviewing the operation of the system with me. Couldn't have gone better. Dale's a pro, highly recommended.

I was able to set up the appointment with Dale in a short time. The appointment was at 8:00 am, and his truck was in front of our driveway at 8:00. May be I should adjust my watch with his work :-) He checked all the sprinkler heads, identified the leaks, and set up another time to complete the job. This new appointment was necessary as we needed to identify the utility locations. He came in today, worked very hard, non-stop and very carefully. He corrected all the problems in the lawn and offered to come back again if we needed any other adjustments. Overall, the work was excellent. Dale is a polite, professional guy. I liked the way he communicated. I have asked him to provide us the annual service of winterizing and spring start. Very happy with the work.

Look no further - DHI is your company! Dale is prompt, honest in his assessment of the situation and does excellent work. I only wish my landscape contractor had been as professional as Dale. I was home sick on the day he did the repair work. He worked independently, completed the job and left. Very respectful of the situation! A+ contractor.

We called DHI based on the excellent ratings on Angie's List. He was prompt, came out and gave us an estimate that was so reasonable that we did not solicit any other bids. We scheduled our installation for a couple of weeks out to accommodate our travel schedule, and he appeared promptly and got to work immediately. He was delightful to work with, and kept in contact when he had to stop work early due to heavy rains. Once the system was installed, he programmed the system and then went over all the programming so that I was confident that I could adjust the system if desired. We made one change when he realized that there was a boulevard at the back of the house that he had not included in his initial estimate. He offered to add sprinklers to the boulevard for an additional $100, which seemed more than reasonable. After he finished the installation, Dale filled in the holes to match the level of the surrounding area and replaced the few flagstones he moved, leaving the flower beds looking completely undisturbed. He has promised that the grass should grow back over the next month, and has been very clear that he will return for any alterations, additions, or repairs. I was extremely happy with Dale's professionalism, and would not hesitate to recommend him and his service.

Our builder provided me with Dale's contact information so that we could arrange for a pre-installation meeting to discuss our expectations and the areas we needed covered with water. Dale & I walked our yard and discussed how our landscaping would be installed. The day of installation Dale showed up as promised and started the job. He installed everything he promised and told me that if we had any problems after our sod and landscaping were installed he would come back out to readjust the heads if necessary. While installing our landscaping I accidently cut an underground sprinkler line and called Dale to have him come out to fix. Of course this was my fault, but after talking to Dale he told me that he would fix it at no charge since the line was not buried deep enough. Wow I could not believe how honest Dale was, he could have charged me & I would not have complained. A couple of weeks after we got our sod and landscaping finished we noticed a couple of areas that were not getting enough water. I called Dale and he came out right away to look at what was happening. After reviewing the situation not only did he change out some sprinkler heads he added another zone (No Charge) to ensure that our lawn was getting enough water to eliminate brown spots. I was very impressed that Dale stood behind his work and promised that we would be happy. Dale has earned a life long customer.

Dale came as scheduled and started the system back up. There were a few minor repair issues which he took are of fixing.

He was very reasonably priced, very punctual, and worked quickly and efficiently. We were very pleased with his work.

6 of our rotary sprinkler heads either weren't occilating or weren't popping up. Dale very promtply returned my call. Other than simply being very competent, a few things impressed me by Dale and DHI. First, he came right on time (5 PM), but my son didn't hear the doorbell or knocking. I learned this when I called to fiind out why he was a no-show, and then he came out that evening anyway, working well into dusk. Second, one of the zone had an apparent leak (water bubbling up). I absolutely presumed the line and/or head would need to be replaced and would have paid whatever to have it fixed. Instead, he said the head simply needed to be re-set and didn't charge me anything. Finally, he stopped out twice in the next couple of days to replace another old sprinkler head that didn't work properly without charging me a trip charge. Overall, he was honest, fair and punctual. I couldn't ask for more from any contractor working on my home.

Dale was professional and on-time. He did the spring start-up in April and found several damaged heads. He came back on 5/22 and replaced the heads even there was a heavy shower in the morning. He checked and made sure that all heads worked well before he left. Good experience, and low cost. Highly recommend!

I waited a bit long in winterizing our sprinkler system and the person (not Dale) that came out had to "brake" one of the pvc pipes to ensure the lines were cleared. A few days ago, I went on Angie's list and found DHI. Dale came out to de-winterize our sprinkler system, replaced one of the sprinkler heads and also fixed the pvc as well as a water line that had some "water leakage". He was prompt, courteous and professional.

It went well overall. The guy showed up on time on the day he said he would and performed the job of blowing out the sprinkler system in preparation for winter. He was professional and clean. No complaints.

Dale was very responsive--called me back on a Saturday after I'd left him a message that morning. He was out to do the work that following Tuesday. I liked the fact that he gave me some initial pricing up front on the phone for what I could expect a new controller unit and sprinkler head to cost, as well as his flat fee for the srevice call. He fixed the system, programmed it for us per our watering restrictions and saved our grass. :-) One item to note--I did receive a follow-up letter from him offering a end of season winterization for $90 prepaid. Received a note from a competitor a day or so later for $50. Pricing may be on the high end based on that comparison.

Dale was right on time and was very professional and completed the job on time. He did exactly what he said he would do and I intend to use his services to shut down the system for the winter and start it up in the fall. We were very pleased with the job Dale did in our yard.

Excellent experience. Dale was able to come out on one day notice. Explained everything he was doing, showed me how to perform minor adjustments and replacements myself.

His estimate seemed like a great value. He arrived on time and when he said he would. His work was first class and he cleaned up and put my yard back together so you could hardly tell he was there. I would definately use him again an d have recommended him to my neighbors.

They were fine to work with so far. That's the only experience we've got with them.

Dale was very profesional, and helped me understand the product he was selling. he was also very accomodationg to the changes i wanted to make prior to the bid he submited

Dale replaced the control box, several sprinkler heads and did general maintenance on the sprinkler system. He is professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. My sprinkler system is now working beautifully and I have signed up for his yearly maintenance contract. I would recommend him without any hesitation.

They are reliable. The prices are reasonable. The owner himself comes out to do the work. He answers all our questions. We may extend the system in the future.

They started when they said they would and were finished in the estimated time with no mess left behind. Though the job was more involved than they anticipated due to irregularities in my yard, they made no attempt to charge me more than the original estimate. They were obviously well-versed in the technology available and were extremely professional from the time they measured my home until they drove away. I have already recommended DHI to two of my neighbors.
