DHI Sprinkler Systems

Dale installed my system back in 2012, and I've payed for his annual contract every year since. The annual contract includes startup in the spring and shutdown in the fall, priority service and a 15% discount on materials and labor for any problems the rest of the year, and a guarantee covering damage from freezing over the winter. They can also do the state's backflow preventer inspection, but I haven't needed that yet. Dale and his crew do a good job. Most years, the work I need is minor and is just done as part of startup or shutdown, like re-burying a short section of line or something. Last spring, one of the sprinkler heads was not working. Dale replaced it on the spot and billed me a reasonable price for the parts. Definitely recommended.

I sent them three messages through the Angie’s List app, one through their website, and two emails and never got a response. If this is any indication of their actual service, buyer beware.

Somehow, a simple system restart turned into a 2 hr work and a valve kit. DHI ended up charging us more than double for the service. Considering there was no issue with the system to begin with and I was never made aware of the additional work, it seems that the company found a way to squeeze in a few extra dollars from someone who wasn't an existing customer. The service guy was courteous but other companies will do the same work for half the price and no surprises.

After obtaining 3 bids on my sprinkler system project, I selected Dale Hurt of Hurt Irrigation , Inc. Dale's bid was in the middle and I selected him for the impression he gave of being knowledgeable about his craft and a person of his word. He was prompt to start work and finished the project as promised. After paying him in full I discovered that a few of the sprinkler heads needed adjusting for height. In both instances Dale came out the next day to adjust. I believe that the true test of a contractors integrity, is the timeliness in which service calls are made even after being paid in full. I was very satisfied with the services performed. They were prompt and accommodating for the quote and were equally accommodating on the construction schedule. I called 3 companies for quotes; DHI came back $300 less than the others. It's made a HUGE difference to the lawn. Very happy with DHI

Usually just one worker. The worker is friendly and competent. Well since they don't really make a mess, nope. They have never left anything behind, or made a mess when they got here.

We first contacted DHI in the fall of 2015 for an estimate on an irrigation system for our property((approx. 1.5 acres) including lawn and extensive perennial beds. After getting several bids from various contractors we decided to go with DHI but by the time we got to it they were booked up for the fall so we decided to try again in the spring. We contacted them again in April and they agreed to price from the previous fall and we scheduled the installation. Dale Hurt and his crew came on time and were very efficient in installing the system and in providing the plumber to connect up system to house. The whole project took about 1 day and included two outdoor spigots that were needed for pond and gardening purposes. A major leak was discovered when they turned it on and this was promptly repaired. After running the system for a few days we noticed that the spray nozzles needed to be adjusted and that the rain sensor was not working properly. After calling DHI, Steve Hurt came out and went through all the nozzles (58) and adjusted them to our needs and showed me how to adjust them and found that the sensor was in the standby mode, again he changed to active mode and it seems to work for heavy rains. We would have DHI again for sprinkler installations if we needed such.

DHI was great, they came out and did the work in a timely manner, coordinating with the city's construction schedule and my sprinklers are up and running again.

Dale returned my call quickly and scheduled the service right away. He communicated well during the process and called ahead when he was on his way to our home. He located the leak in our system almost immediately. He dug one small home and the leak was right in the center of the hole he dug. I am not sure how he found it so quickly but there was little damage to our lawn - you would barely know he was even there. The repair was done very quickly and the repair was quality work. I will only be calling Dale for any service that needs to be done on our irrigation system. He does good work, works quickly and is fair and honest with his assessment. Do not go with anyone else.

Same as always -- Dale scheduled with me in advance, making sure the date and time worked for me; arrived on time; worked quickly; and was gone! He is terrific.

We've been doing business with Dale for several years. He's prompt, organized and does a great job. He reminds us each year to schedule the service. In the past, he's notified us about problems needing to be addressed.

Dan came out to give me an estimate to repair a sprinkler system that had been damaged after a fence install. Spent quite a bit of time trouble shooting to try and give me an accurate estimate. Both water lines and electrical lines had been cut, so it seemed like a handful to me. After a reasonable estimate I went with DHI, who was able to come get the work done less than a week later. There ended up being one less line being cut than thought, so bill ended up being less than I planned on. Sprinklers running great. I plan to use DHI to expand the irrigation system next year as we do some landscaping.

I have used DHI for a number of years now. Dale and his crew repair and maintain my system. His services are excellent. I would recommend DHI without reservation.

Entire job done in one day, as promised. Had some difficulty running one of the 6 zones under the concrete sidewalk, but the crew stayed until the special boring equipment arrived on site, and finished the job perfectly. All for one fixed price, no additions, extras, change orders, or "bait and switch" costs of any kind. Outstanding follow-through. Excellent value, and my lawn never looked better.

Dale and his crew showed up on time as promised. From his first visit he impressed me with his knowledge, and once I outlined my objectives, he offered two solutions. One was less expensive, and required simple head replacement. The one I chose was specifically designed to maintain the new landscaping we just had installed at significant expense. Dale and his crew worked all day and the end result is impressive! The garden areas were restored to their original condition, and the extra heads/rotors/sprays were installed in the yard with no noticeable disruption to the lawn. Outstanding! I would and do highly recommend Dale and DHI Sprinkler Systems to anyone who wants to install a new system or give your old system a refresh for better utilization of water.

He was prompt and did a good job. Very reasonable price and great crew. I was afraid it was going to cost a lot of money to fix the system considering the big changes to the yard, but he just went ahead and moved and added lines to make it work for the new grass. Very happy with results and the company. It's rare that you trust a service provider, but they are great. No surprises

I had a problem with my main valve on my sprinkler system. They could not replace the part so they had to put in a whole new valve. I wasn't dissatisfied I just don't want to recommend them.

It went very well. It went very quick. The way my husband did it, took to long and he made it harder then it really was. I will be contacting them again next year when I need the system winterized again. Thank you for your professionalism.

The price was fine. I used them just one time. It was a pretty basic task and they did it fine. Nothing really stood out.

This was a great service and no problems at all. They completed way before scheduled and did everything that they said they would do. The technicians were very nice and professional. They also gave me a lot of pointers on how to use the system. They also did a follow up visit to flush the system.

Great! Here's what we had done: 1) Purchased a coupon for a Spring startup and Fall shut-down 2) Had them add a zone to an area that wasn't covered 3) Had a repair made to a leak in the main line. All of these were handled quickly, professionally and at a value based cost. We are new to this home, so they also took the time to walk us through the system zone by zone and review the operation of the control panel. We're very happy with this company and will continue to be customers moving forward.

I needed someone to come on short notice to repair a leaking sprinkler main line that was discovered when I was having landscaping work done. Dale from DHI was available 10AM next day. He arrived within the one hour window he gave, and within 30 minutes had dug up and repaired the leak. Price was reasonable and service and his punctuality and timing was great. I'd use DHI again, and plan to give Dale a call this fall for a blow out.

The crew arrived on time, worked all day, was polite and we are very happy!
