+ -1 moreI called them to set up an appointment at 3 PM on a friday - they showed up at 12PM, and they said that the installer waited - I was at work - they never called me to tell me that the installer was going to show up 3 hours early. When I called them to reschedule - they said that someone would get back to me - no one called me - I called them again - same story. when I called them the third time, they said they would get back to me, and then someone called me and I tried to re-schedule. The person on the phone than told me that the big deal that I had purchased "had been billed out" and was no longer valid, and that I would have to pay to get the fan installed.

Description of Work: My tenant called in a panic on Saturday night as she had no power to her garage or her upstairs bathroom. I started making phone calls on Monday morning at 8 AM to a few electricians I had used before from Angie's List. The soonest I could get anyone to come out was on Friday. The next on my list was Norske Electric and Brevik (the owner) was quick to answer the phone and said he could be out there by 10 AM. He was on time and quickly figured out what the issue was, replaced the bathroom outlet, an outside light fixture, checked a second outside light fixture and even replaced a burned out bulb in the entry way that took a tall ladder - all within one hour! My tenant said he was very friendly, personable and knew what he was doing and even wiped the entry way floor up from the snow that was tracked inside from the bottom of the ladder.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. Brevik came out and gave me an estimate, then they ended up giving us a discount because they wanted to reschedule our job to after the holidays, rather than before. I really can't tell you if this was a good price for this job, but I'm fairly confident that no one else was going to do it for less. The electrician showed up on time and was very polite and professional, and we have not blown a breaker since. We would use Norske Electric again.
Description of Work: We had a microwave that was routinely blowing a breaker, because it was sharing a breaker with numerous other things. Norske Electric ran a new line from the microwave to its own breaker.

Description of Work: In October, installed GFCl protected receptacles in multiple rooms; installed a hardwired inter-connected smoke detector in 3 bedrooms and in lower level, and a hardwired inter-connected smoke/CO detector in upper hall. In December installed dining room chandelier and three flush mount ceiling lights, all with dimmer switches. Also installed a new phone jack and relocated an existing phone jack.

We just moved to the area and the price seemed a little high but then we were comparing it to a more rural city we came from which may have skewed our perceptions. Overall we were very pleased with the people and service and would highly recommend Norske Electric.
Description of Work: We had a new electrical line run for a freezer/refrigerator to our basement. Also we had them switch a 220 outlet to a 110 outlet for a new stove.

+ 1 moreHe is wonderful. I love him. Every single time he has gone above and beyond. He is so personable. The thing that convinced me most about him was I needed a ceiling fan installed in the master bedroom. I have a dear friend who was an electrician. I asked him to install the ceiling fan. He told me that he would have to go up in the attic and charge me a lot of money. It was a big deal from him. I then asked Brevic about it. He first installed the fan in the bedroom; he then found the attic door in the garage to get all of the wiring set up. I don’t think it took him but 5-10 minutes. I love my bedroom fan.
Description of Work: He's done several things for me. He has installed ceiling fans, do some outlets, do my kitchen fixtre and outside lights.

+ 0 moreBrevik first gave us a referral to do the low voltage landscape lighting because they would be more cost effective than if he did the work. He was a pleasure to work with, start to finish. He arrived on time, cleaned up everything and gave us extra time as well without charging us more than the bid. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: We recently added a new deck with low voltage lighting. Brevik installed a new GFCI weather resistant receptacle outside that was to be controlled by a new wall switch inside our home. He also installed another GFCI weather resistant receptacle on our home up near our new deck.
