Norske Electric was very quick to respond to my RFI via Angieslist, and their prices were competitive. I needed to have a few things fixed up at the request of the purchaser of my condo in Minnetonka. This amounted to a bathroom exhaust fan replacement, second smoke detector, and a stress clamp on my disposal wiring. Their original quote was higher than what they billed, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, it was very easy to work with them remotely (I'm out east now). They took pictures after the work was done so that I could verify I was in compliance with the P&S agreement. Highly recommended.

The electrician arrived promptly at 8 am and completed the ceiling fan installation by 8:30. He was courteous and knowledgeable. I would use Norske Electric again.

The people at Norske were quick and responsive. They came out the same day that I called them. They quoted the price over the phone and that is the same amount they charged me .I would definitely use them again.

Everything turned out fine. They did a good job. We had an issue with schedule but it sorted itself out. The ceiling fan was installed perfectly.

The installation went well but the problem seemed to be with the fan I had bought. With the remote switch (bought separately) the fan speed seemed to slow-down. Tim did a few tries with adjusting it but looked like the issue was with the unit and not related to how the fan was installed. Overall, I am happy with the work.

The ceiling fan install went well. The technician was polite and informative. However, something happened during the install that shut down the electrical power to my extra bedroom across from the living room. I called Norske as soon as I realized this (that evening) and received a call back immediately. The technician came back first thing the next morning and fixed the issue. I then asked for bids on other projects I am hoping to do around the house and am waiting to hear back from them. I would/hope to hire Norske again. I was very impressed with the timely response and professionalism.

I first contacted Norske because they were the only electrician close to my neighborhood and that worked on the weekends. We were having trouble replacing outlets and due to appliances we needed it fixed ASAP. Brevik answered his cell immediately and scheduled us for Monday morning. Can't beat that service! Tim was right on time and finished everything quickly. He also fixed our doorbell which hadn't worked in 3 years. Knowing our electrical was done professionally is priceless. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

Overall the install went well. Tim, the electrician who provided the service call, was knowledgeable and professional. After getting an idea of what I needed, he know exactly what to do. The service needed is relatively simple for an electrician, but I did not have the expertise or time to give this a try myself.

I had called three other electricians and, when I described what I wanted done (i.e., hang an antique gas-turned-electric chandelier in a two-story foyer), I got nowhere (one even asked me if I would have someone at the house to help out!). I looked on Angie's List and contacted Norske Electric and again explained what I wanted done. Brevik made an appointment with me, arrived at the time agreed upon, and advised me to take the chandelier to Electric Craftsman in Hopkins to have it prepared for hanging. After Electric Craftsman was done with it, I called and set up an appointment with Norske Electric for its hanging. Tim Johnson came out at the agreed-upon time and, while it was obviously not a walk in the park, got the chandelier up and then Tim also installed a dimmer which I had on hand. I can't stress enough how refreshing it was, after my initial experiences, to encounter the professionalism of Brevik and Norske Electric. I wholeheartedly recommend that, if you need electrical work done, you contact them.

Great! I emailed yesterday, they were able to fit me in this afternoon. Tom was very professional and nice, he was done in 45 minutes. It went perfectly. Also, we have been quoted $350 & $450 for this job, so to do it for about $130, was wonderful!! These guys are definitely our new go to electricians!!

Brevik came and did the initial estimate and quoted $850. We had gotten a competitive bid was for $1,050. Brevik said that it was difficult to estimate because the walls he could not see all the critical factors. We agreed that his estimate was based on certain contingencies. If other problems came up he would charge on a time and material basis. Tim came on the day of work. He was pleasant and professional. He asked good questions and got to work. The work was professional. In the end, Brevik charged us less then his estimate. I will use Norske electric again.

They fit us in three days after I called to schedule the appointment, came on time, worked quickly and efficienlty. Overall, a great experience!

The hole experience went well. The installer (Tim) was right on time. Was very polite and professional. The installation took about 45 minutes. The $100 dollars was for and hours work so Tim used the rest of the time to explain how the remote for the fan worked and how the existing switches worked with the new fan. I am a little disappointed with the outcome of how the existing switches work with the new fan but I'm thinking it has to do with the design differences of the new vs. old and not necessarily the fault of the installer. The existing fan had two pull chains. The new fan is designed to operate with a remote-no pull chains. I had three wall switches that controlled the operation of the old fan. For the new fan with remote, the existing switch on the wall that controlled the fan could not be used and the existing dimmer switch on the wall also did not work correctly with the new fan. I wound up having to replacing the existing dimmer switch with just a toggle-(on and off switch). So in the end, one of the three existing wall switches is not used and the other two just control the fan light-(on and off). I mounted the remote on the wall that controls the fan speeds and the light dimmer. Now the only problem I have with the switch set up for the new fan is one of the existing three wall switches is not used and also the fan and the light do not work independently. The light has to be on in order for the fan to work. After all if this, I am still happy with the new fan.
