Rick's Roofing and Siding Inc. has been the company to call in the Twin Cities for quality exterior remodeling since 1985. Over the past 39 years we at Rick's Roofing and Siding Inc. have been dedicated to our customers' and our community. We do this in three ways; we inspect all of our jobs post completion to ensure quality craftsmanship, we only work in the Twin Cities and surrounding area, and we only install quality products.

Description of Work: They reroofed our house. They also reroofed it 25 years ago. We were very pleased the first time and that is why we asked them to give us a quote again this time. We are glad we did because we have been very please again. They do great work for a very good price.

Description of Work: We were losing shingle sections of the 15-year old roof on a house we had recently purchased, so we got a referral for Rick's Roofing and Siding. The crew was very professional, very courteous, and very comprehensive in their inspection, which included some minor repairs. The service was fantastic from start to finish and the guys who did the work were top-notch. Fortunately for us, we didn't need a whole new roof (though we were a little nervous about that!)--but when the time eventually comes for us to redo the whole thing, we will definitely remember this good experience with Rick's.

Description of Work: This is the second time we used Rick's to install a complete new roof for us. This roof had lots of rot and many repairs were needed to the plywood structure and Soffits also. We would recommend them highly. Wish they were a little cheaper but you definitely get what you pay for, so worth it.

Description of Work: Rick stands by his company and his work. We have used Rick's Roofing for years (this house and our previous house) for that reason. We have a big house with complicated roof lines and chose to replace the entire thing at once. We got a 50 year warranty with this. Rick's crew also noticed areas of wood rot in some of the siding and replaced hat for us as well. We also replaced an old skylight and updated some insulation at the same time. Everything was done perfectly and professionally.

RETURNED OUR CALL PROMPTLY, ARRIVED ON TIME FOR APPOINTMENT, DID THOROUGH AND DETAILED ESTIMATE FOR WORK, DESCRIBED PRODUCTS AND PROCESS WELL. WAS POLITE, BUT WE WERE TURNED OFF BY NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT COMPETITORS USE OF ''STORM CHASERS'' FOR LABOR. ESTIMATE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, ABOUT 25% HIGHER THAN THE COMPANY WE HIRED.

WHEN JACK CAME TO OUR HOUSE TO PROVIDE A QUOTE, HE OFFERED SEVERAL USEFUL SUGGESTIONS FOR THE RE-ROOFING PROJECT WE WERE ABOUT TO UNDERTAKE OURSELVES. JACK HAS A NO-NONSENSE APPROACH TO COMMUNICATION, OFFERING SOUND INFORMATION FREELY AND PROFESSIONALLY. RICK'S ROOFING & SIDING KEPT US WELL-INFORMED ABOUT THEIR WORK SCHEDULE AND WERE EXTREMELY FLEXIBLE WITH OUR SCHEDULE AND SERVICE REQUESTED. THE SOFFIT WORK LOOKS HIGH QUALITY. ESTIMATE WAS ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME AS OTHER HIGHLY RATED ANGIE'S LIST CONTRACTOR'S ESTIMATE I GOT. JACK, RICK'S REPRESENTATIVE, AGREED WITH ME THAT THE GABLE SIDING SHOULD BE DONE SO THE GARAGE WOULD MATCH THE HOUSE. I WAS PRETTY SURPRISED THAT THEY FOUND SIDING THAT MATCHED VERY CLOSELY, SINCE SIDING HAD BEEN DONE ON THE HOUSE OVER 12 YEARS AGO. THE SIDING CREW DID FIRST RATE WORK.

I REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE FROM RICK'S BEFORE I KNEW OF ANGIE'S LIST, AS MY NEIGHBOR HAD USED THEM AND WERE HAPPY. MY SECOND ESTIMATE MENTIONED THAT THEY WERE ON ANGIE'S LIST, WHICH IS HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT IT. RICK'S ESTIMATE WAS LESS, AND JACK HAD AN INGENIOUS METHOD FOR FIXING THE GUTTERS ON THE HOUSE THAT WORKED GREAT AND DIDN'T COST MUCH. I HAVE A HUGE PINE TREE OVERHANGING MY DRIVEWAY, AND RICK'S WAS VERY CAREFUL NOT TO TRIM IT ANY MORE THAN NECESSARY TO GET THE DUMPSTER PAST IT. CREW WAS FIRST RATE.
Description of Work: TEAR OFF, RE-ROOF OF HOUSE AND GARAGE, REPLACED FLASHING ON CHIMNEY (INCLUDING BUILDING SADDLE ON HIGH SIDE), REPLACED TWO ROOF VENTS AND ADDED THREE MORE. RICK'S OFFERS A LIFETIME GUARANTEE OF THEIR WORK. IF YOU HAVE SHINGLES THAT WILL LAST 30 YEARS, YOU ARE COVERED FOR 30 YEARS. SINCE WE PLAN TO STAY IN OUR HOME FOR A LONG TIME, WE FOUND THIS GUARANTEE WAS WORTHWHILE.

TOOK TWO BIDS FOR THE JOB - BOTH CONTRACTORS ARE ON ANGIES LIST. PRICES WERE COMPARABLE, RICKS WAS SLIGHTLY LESS THAN THE OTHER QUOTE. I WOULD USE RICKS AGAIN. WILL NEVER USE THE CONTRACTOR I USED 5 YEARS AGO AGAIN.
Description of Work: ROOFED HOUSE ~ 5 YEARS AGO AND SHINGLES FAILED. RICKS HELPED ME DETERMINE THE BEST SETTLEMENT WITH THE SHINGLE COMPANY (THE SHINGLE COMPANY GAVE ME 3 OPTIONS). ALSO DID REPAIR ON THE LEAK(S) AND GOT ME ON THEIR SCHEDULE QUICKLY. RICKS DID A COMPLETE TEAR OFF AND REROOF AS WELL AS PUTTING ON NEW GUTTERS IN THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. PART OF THE WORK WAS COVERED BY THE SETTLEMENT WITH THE SHINGLE COMPANY - THE PRICE I PAID REFLECTS THIS.
