The association is responsible for the outside water spigots on my house. The plumber came out to repair these and had to do his repair in my basement and had to drain the water into the water heater so he could get the water level down. He did what the assocation and I wanted to have done. He did a good job. He talked about putting in a Reem water heater and wanted $1300 for the job but I don't know if I want to change out my water heater just yet and have found water heaters for a lower price elsewhere. He was unable to come out the first time he was scheduled but called and we were able to reschedule a new time, he came early that day but called and made sure that was okay.

I called Mike about replacing our water heater, which was 13 years old. He stopped by first to take a look at the water heater and did not pressure us at all about replacing it since it was working fine. Despite that, to avoid having problems that might cause a mess in the basement, we decided to install a new water heater. Mike's supplier was out of stock, but he informed us as to when he expected he would be able to do the work. When his supplier received the water heater, he called right away, scheduled the work, and showed up as scheduled. As I observed Mike work, it was obvious to me that he knows what he is doing. He answered all of my questions about operations and maintenance and left the paperwork for us to register the purchase and request the Center Point rebate. The water heater has been working fine and passed the city's code inspection with no problem. Mike also replaced the source line, inlet valve, flapper, and handle on our toilet. When we were having a minor problem with the valve occasionally running, Mike stopped back and made some adjustments. We are not sure that problem has been resolved, but Mike said he would come back if the problems persist. We paid $1,178.65 minus a $50 coupon for the water heater, plus $59 for the city's permit fee, and $149 for the toilet repair. Although I have seen some special water heater deals on Angie's List for a lower price, Mike's price is in the ballpark with other water heater estimates I have seen, and I decided to go with him because his place of business is relatively close to us, and in our phone conversations, he seemed to be a straight-forward guy who does not use high-pressure tactics. Besides getting the service we needed this time, I wanted to establish a relationship with someone close by who we can count on for future plumbing needs. After seeing Mike's work, I feel confident that he is a skilled and fair guy that we will not hesitate to hire again. Mike indicated that he is a third generation plumber. I like the idea that Hometown Plumbing is a one-man operation and we know Mike will be doing the work himself if we call him in the future.

The contractor checked the water heater and reviewed with my what was happening. While he was at the house, I showed him other areas that needed repaired and/or replaced, such as a backed up laundry tub, burst pipe, toilet repair. He gave me the price for the repairs and I hired him to come back. I believe the repairman is Mr. Westman. I am very happy with the work and would definitely hire him again.

Mike was very easy to work with Very prompt, showing up right on time for both the estimate and the service work. He did an excellent job. He had to replace a valve that he hadn't expected but did not charge anything extra for it. He stuck to his original estimate. Everything was neat and tidy after he left.

Mike came to the house to give my plumbing a thorough check-up. He looked at the the water sources, pipes, gas lines, sinks. My impression was that he is knowledgeable in his field and personally congenial. I have arranged to have him do some work for me next week on some issues that have been concerning me.

I was having issues with a drain in my basement. This is an older drain and was not plumbed well when the house was built. To add to the problems, this is also the drain that my washing machine drains into. It has always had some issues with backing up and tends to have a puddle around it much of the year. I finally broke down and decided to have someone out to snake the drain and have it work correctly for at least a few months. I called HomeTown Plumbing and left a message stating my problem. I was called back shortly and the gentleman on the phone set an appointment and arrival time. When he arrived, promptly and prepared, he put on shoe covers and proceeded to the basement and asked me to show him the rest of the plumbing in the area of the drain. He saw the original plumbing and commented that it may be part of the problem. He retrieved a few tools and set about clearing the drain. He was done within 20 minutes and had the drain working perfectly. He stayed for a few more minutes to run some water through the drain and to verify that he had cleared it out to the main pipe. He also let me know that he guaranteed the work for a few months and that he was nearby in the area and that we could call at any time. The professionalism, speed and knowledge demonstrated by HomeTown Plumbing was impressive and the price was exactly what I had expected.

I thought the price was a bit high but I agreed to the price. He was very good and professional. He did a really good job. He completed the work and cleaned up well. He was prompt, personable, and polite. He was very good to work with.

It was a pleasure working with Mike. He came out and replaced our old water heater and replaced some old pipes that we had concerns about. Very nice to work with, would definetly call him again in the future for any additional work.

They were one of the higher bids out of three that we got and it was much more by far. They were very helpful and polite when they came out. I am on a limited income and the lowest bid was what I went with and that turned out well. They were very respectful when they came to my home. They even put on bootie slippers to respect my home.

The experience was good but the cost was high for the work that was provided. They have a pricing system and that is simply where the work fell on that sheet. He did do a couple of extra things and I would use them in the future if my plumbing needs were more complex.

I called in the morning and the repair was completed the same afternoon. Owner did the repair and he was very pleasant.

I called on Friday to have a plumbing repair. They came Saturday morning. The job was done in great time and they cleaned up after they finished. I was very pleased with the professional service. I would recommend this company. I felt the price was reasonable.

They are on time and they are not that expensive. A couple years ago I had a spigot for a hose that had never been used on the outside of the house. They were able to get it working for me. I have never felt like I was ripped off. They are very honest and helpful.
