Josh, who owns the company, responded quickly to my initial call for an estimate and, once he came out, his "prognosis" for the problems sounded sensible. His bid was also nearly half that of another company that came highly recommended through Angie's. He said the work couldn't be done for two weeks, but I stayed with -- and on the date he stated, someone other than Josh (I think his name was Jeremy) simply arrived and started working. What was estimated as a two-day job ended up taking just one day, and the job cost $50 less than originally estimated. Jeremy was thorough and cleaned up well. I'm much happier for having the work done.

Josh I, (there are two Joshes at Platinum, one guy who runs the company, one who does most of the work) was out of town when I called his office, but his voice message suggested customers email him, so he could communicate with them while he was not in the office. I did, and he responded the next day, which impressed me. He came to our home a day later and gave me what I thought was a very reasonable price for the amount of work I had asked him to do. Josh II came in the following week and began work promptly. He was very friendly and obliging, even when I began throwing other tasks at him: I broke the light fixture while he was there, and I noticed an electrical outlet still didn't have a cover plate because it was set too far back inside of the wall. Josh II moved the outlet forward for me, got an outlet plate from the truck and put it on within 10 minutes of my asking him, which surprised me. All of the work was done in a week, and the house looks 100 percent better. Thanks guys.

They were great, especially about working around other workers and the unknown, ongoing problems that arie in a remodel project. They did excellent work, were flexible, and kept in touch well.

They were willing to negotiate the price. I was worried about the ceiling matching the rest of the house do to how old the house is. They did a great job and matched it perfectly. The work was done in a rental property of mine and they were respectful of the tenants. The repairs were pretty extensive and they did a great job blending the repair into the existing.

Platinum was very solid. They had to be on time on the right days to coincide with the other work going on and they were awesome. There was extra work they had to do that was not planned but they didn't complain about it. I will use Platinum again, very pleased!

During my ownership of this house, and, it was apparent, during the previous owners time as well, the toilet would covertly leak, eventually rotting and warping the sub floor and loosening the tiles. I asked four companies to bid on this project. The first never showed, the other two individuals were professional, punctual, and courteous. Their proposals, while much lower than Platinum, were far less comprehensive. In other words, I believed there was too great a potential for "surprise" add-ons. Platinum accommodated my urgency to get this done, completed the job on time, on budget, and left a clean work area. I've had bad experiences with re-modelers before, but these guys were great. I will definitely ask them to bid on any upcoming projects.

Platinum did very nice work for us. They were respectful in my home and acted very professionally at all points in time. They provided us with good services. They could stand to lower their prices a little but overall, I was left feeling satisfied.

They were very nice to us, flexible to our schedule, and did good work. I would definitely recommend them.

The guys at Platinum did a wonderful job and took care in their work. They ended up replacing a lot less boards on the deck than were originally estimated, but they worked with us to revise the bill to a number we both agreed with.

Jobs went well. Gave close-to-the-mark or on-the-mark estimate for all work. (Work on porch floor was more extensive than originally planned because supports were rotted out throughout the room, but price paid was very much in line with quote given at the start for price per square foot). Nice owner and crew. I was pleased to find an outfit that could handle both work on floor and attic/roof. Before seeking the quote, I had expected the insulation cost to be lower, but work was worth the price given that other contractors who could have done the floor work had turned me down on the full job because they didn't do insulation and venting.

I needed part of my front lawn regraded to fix the moisture problem in my basement. Josh came out and made a lot of helpful suggestions, including re-routing downspouts and suggesting a grass seed that would grow in the shady spots of my front yard. His estimate was more than reasonable for the work we finally settled on. His team came out on the scheduled day, and were done in two days. They were smart, helpful, friendly, and fun to work with. Sure enough, Josh's suggestions redirected the rainfall and instead of pouring into my basement, it's running toward the street. Josh was extremely busy and I had to wait a little before he could get to my job, but he was worth it. He was good at communicating and keeping me up to date on the status of my job.

It took a long time to get the estimate (about 10 days). However, once I got the estimate, Josh did the job the next day. This was a dangerous job, up on a ladder 2.5 stories. He did a great job for a very reasonable price.

The first time I called, I got a person on the line who was very friendly and service-oriented and got an estimate appointment. I told him everything I needed done, and he seemed knowledgeable and even told me that they were about a month behind for large projects, which I said was fine. I called back several days later to change the appointment date and got a machine. I left a message, and no one called back. I called again a day or two later and left another message. I still got no call back. Finally, one week later, I called and left a message telling them to cancel the estimate. Hopefully, they'll get the message since I've gotten no call back from any of the 3 messages I've left. I'm willing to give them a try again, but they need to be more responsive to their messages or else they are going to lose out.

He is extremely professional. It is a dream to work with a contractor who gets back with you and stays within budget.

Initially, I was impressed with Josh's reasonable estimate and can-do attitude. On demo day, we added some additional work to the job and he was very willing to help us continue to meet our deadlines. Josh did not arrange for a dumpster and all of the demolition was piled in our garage for two days. This seemed very inefficient and required an extra day of work to break down and move the garbage from the garage to the too-small dumpsters at the end of our driveway. Once the project was underway, we had difficulty communicating with Josh and were often unsure who was scheduled to come and on what days. This was frustrating because we did not want to leave our house unlocked and could not communicate directly with the people doing the work to let them know how to get in the house. Also, it was very difficult to discuss a fair price for the work which was not included in our initial bid.

Painting was fine. The rest of work ok, first solution to new door threshold was unsatisfactory, 2nd solution was ok. Handyman work was good, but the person that did the handiwork didn't show up when he said he would. It was frustrating. It took a long time to get the job scheduled.

I had company coming and I needed by bathroom in the basement repaired and tiled. Josh had given me an estimate for more work earlier. When I called with my schedule change he was very accommodating. Good job!

I called three Handyman services. Josh with Platinum responded the next day by coming over and giving me an estimate and the work was done two days later.

Josh was very professional and personable. After making contact via email, he came right out and provided a detailed estimate for all the various jobs. We thought the cost was very reasonable and he completed the work promptly, efficiently and cleaned up all his mess. It was like he was never here! We're now looking for other jobs he can complete and correct from our DIY projects gone awry. We would definitely hire him again.

Josh responded to my request for a bid quickly, he arrived for our first meeting on time and was very thorough and pleasant. He made an appointment for his HVAC subcontractor, Troy, to come to the house to check the work that needed to be done and give me a bid. Troy was right on time, very professional and friendly and answered all my questions. I received a very detailed bid that made sure all the items would be addressed. Troy also noticed a safety hazard that existed and needed to be fixed before he would be able to do the repair work. I thoroughly appreciated his attention to details. Troy completed all work in a very timely manner, made sure all items were up to city code, and signed off by the city. I couldn't be more happy with the final product. I definitely plan to use this vendor again in the future, and highly recommend them!

I had 3 other plumbers take a look at my laundry hose which was always backing up - none of which offered a permanent solution. Then, Josh and Marty evaluated the problem, and explained to me (in detail) what was happening each time my washer extracted water and what was causing the back up, and we discussed options along with possible outcomes of each option. Finally, my laundry hose is working just fine - no backups, no suds overflow, no water under the utility sink, and I'm thrilled with another wonderful job from Platinum! They're the most friendly, professional, and communicative service folks!

The tile on the shower floor required to be redone. They did it with no complaints or objections. That is a sign of a great company that stands behind their work. There were no additional charges either.

THIS IS THE 2ND JOB FOR JOSH AND THE GANG. THEY'RE WONDERFUL PEOPLE TO HIRE! MARTY REMOVED THE OLD TRACK LIGHTING, PLUGGED THE CEILING, INSTALLED AND SWAGGED A NEW ISLAND LIGHT. GREAT JOB. NO NEED TO LOOK FURTHER FOR A HANDYPERSON'S GROUP WHEN YOU HIRE THESE FOLKS!

FROM THE BEGINNING, JOSH WAS THE ONLY ONE FROM ANGIE'S LIST TO CALL ME BACK! WE SCHEDULED OUR APPOINTMENT AND HE WAS ON TIME. I WENT THROUGH MY LIST OF THINGS THAT I WANTED TO DELEGATE TO HIM. JOSH, GAVE ME A DETAILED PROPOSAL WITH FAIR PRICING. HE PUT ME ON THE SCHEDULE FOR WORK AND THEN CALLED ME TO SEE IF THEY COULD START EARLY; HE EVEN STOPPED BY ON A SATURDAY TO DELIVER THE MATERIALS. HIS CREW, GARY AND MARTY COMPLETED THE WORK; THEY WERE HERE FOR AN ENTIRE DAY AND LEFT MY HOUSE SPOTLESS. BOTH GARY AND MARTY REALLY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK; THE MUDDING JOB IS BEAUTIFUL. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOSH AND THE CREW TO TAKE ON ANY PROJECT. WE'LL BE USING THEM FOR ALL OUR HANDYMEN PROJECTS.

OLD MORTAR AROUND THE CHIMNEY OF OUR RECENTLY CONDO-CONVERTED BUILDING HAD DETERIORATED AND A NUMBER OF HOLES CLEAR THROUGH THE MORTAR WERE ADMITTING WATER. JOSH GAVE US A REASONABLE ESTIMATE FOR A TUCK-POINT. WE DID EXPERIENCE SOME MISCOMMUNICATION: WE EXPECTED A FULL TUCK-POINT TO FILL ALL THE DETERIORATING MORTAR, BUT ON THEIR VISIT THE GUYS FILLED ONLY THE HOLES, LEAVING HEAVILY CREVASSED AREAS UNTOUCHED, WHICH COULD GENERATE HOLES AND MORE LEAKS BEFORE LONG. JOSH IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. ON A RETURN VISIT WE EXPLAINED WHAT WE HAD WANTED AND HE AGREED TO FINISH THE JOB TO OUR SPECS FOR A SLIGHTLY INCREASED FEE, SAYING THE END TOTAL NOW MIGHT ONLY COVER HIS COSTS, BUT HE WAS GOOD TO DO IT. THE FINISHED CHIMNEY LOOKS GREAT. JOSH RECENTLY STARTED THIS BUSINESS AND HE IS DOING A GOOD JOB. WE WOULD RECOMMEND PLATINUM FOR HANDYMAN WORK.
