Marty @ Platinum took apart our old door and found that the new one we had bought needed a door jamb extension as well as a threshold extension in order to work. He took care of both of these and the new door looks fantastic and works great! He also put our storm door back on and even fixed it so that it works better than before!

We have used Josh a couple of times, and he is always really nice. He is willing to do smaller jobs, which some other companies are not interested in doing. It is a family owned and operated business (his dad and sister work there), but he has other employees. For the most recent job, they were very good. The came when they said they would and finished on time. They usually come in a little lower on price than some other companies.

It went well from start to finish. Timely, polite, and good workers. One of the carpenters actually repaired our front door while they were here and told us what needed to be done to repair the door permanently.

I had some questions in terms of who would do the work. I wanted to know if it cold be done on Saturday. He said that is possible and he told me how long it would take. He answered all of the questions that I had. He gave me advice. He really knew his job.

I got the estimate on a Wednesday, the deck work was scheduled and completed on the following Monday. The siding was replaced on the following Wednesday. It was an excellent experience - workmen friendly, competent and on-time!!!

PROJECT'S WENT WELL, NOTHING MAJOR OCCURRED. SMALL BUMPS ALONG THE WAY WERE EASILY HANDLED BY JOSH AND HIS CREW. IT WENT SO SMOOTHLY THAT THERE REALLY ISN'T ANYTHING TO TELL. THIS IS A YOUNG COMPANY THAT TAKES A GREAT DEAL OF PRIDE IN A JOB WELL DONE. TRUE CRAFTSMEN.

On budget, on schedule... tore out old shower and toilet stall, put in new shower stall, fixtures, steam unit, glass doors, sinks, faucets, you name it! I'm incredibly picky about the details, and they made everything perfect.

They did a great job, and they communicated really well. We actually hired them for another project.

This company was the only one of several we received estimates from that suggested we replace the bottoms of our rotting wooden columns on our older home's front porch with cast fiberglass bases instead of wood again. They found a supplier of the bases, ordered them for us and installed them. They also replaced a few rotting floor boards of our porch. Other than the time it took to receive the order, and a few problems regarding the taper of our existing columns fitting with the decorative trim on the top of the bases, it went well. They found a solution for the decorative trim by having custom trim made. This was created and installed in a little over a week to finish the project. We did have one other problem because the original estimator that came out never called us back (evidently he had some back surgery right after he had talked with us). Once I recontacted them, they were quite responsive and did a professional job that we are pleased with. The end price was $250 more than the original estimate because additional floor boards were found that were rotten and need replacing.

Our storm door latch was broken, so they had to buy a new one (this took a couple trips to find the exact right one). They also patched a hole in the basement wall where earlier caulking had come out. There were some other jobs they thought they could do, but they didn't have the right personnel or equipment (e.g. not tall enough ladder for outside painting).

They were good, there was a little bit of miscommunication between the owner and the site manager, but they did get everything resolved, they had prices that were competitive.

Platinum was amazing. We have only one bathroom, and the work was going to take two days. Platinum was the only contractor that offered to re-install the toilet for the night directly on the sub-floor. The work turned out to be much more extensive than they'd expected; they thought they would just need to put in a small patch to the sub-floor, but the whole thing turned out to be in terrible shape. They added to the original estimate, but only $100, which considering the additional work seemed very reasonable to me. They left the kitchen ceiling open so that everything could thoroughly dry out, and then came back and patched it. You can't tell there was ever a problem. Everything looked great when they were done.

We really enjoyed working with Josh (owner of Platinum) and his dad (who did most of the hands-on work for this job). From the very beginning Josh was very responsive (even answering my initial email requesting an estimate) while he was out of town for the weekend with his family. He gave us what we felt was a very fair estimate and he was great in providing ideas for how we could solve some of the challenges in our kitchen. He went above and beyond to try and match the door design and stain on our cabinets. We ended up having to add a few extra things to the scope of the project at the last minute and they worked it into the schedule without any issues. Both Josh and his dad are extremely friendly and professional and were always willing to answer questions. They were on time and completed things when they were supposed to be completed (there are still a few things remaining but the delay is our fault, not Josh's). They were respectful of our space and did a good job cleaning up. There was one small area they forgot to clean but it was very minor. We will next move on to updating our bathroom and at this point are definitely planning on going back to Platinum for this work as well.

They showed up on time. They are competitively priced. They have excellent work ethic. They provide good, quality service. We recommend them to anyone who is looking for the same type of work.

I always call them. Obviously they are doing OK. He knows me well. I usually only use people from Angie's List. They are punctual and professional, or I wouldn't deal with them.

They do great job and I have used them several times. They communicate well, show up on time and do good work. They give you a bid ahead of time which stick to firmly.

Awesome. Josh ended up coming in under his original estimate, and we really didn't expect that. His crew did a fantastic job, and Josh made sure that everything that needed to get taken care of got taken care of (like having a broom of ours replaced when it was accidentally damaged). In the end we were left with a reasonable invoice, a brand new attic and someone we can turn to in the future.

Excellent! I have used Platinum remodeling now exclusively for a few years now for everything from handyman repair work such as above to an upcoming work order for an outside commercial sign at my office to major remodeling work on several properties. This most recent experience was to address some water I started to see coming in our lower level after heavy rains. I had water accumulated right inside a back door and at one point near a hole in some outside cement steps. They came out, gave me a bid, did everything as well as additional ideas and advice, the work was excellent, they were clean, professional and curteous and the bill was exactly as estimated and I even think they did more work than they charged for. I like that they are employees and I don't have to worry about the many issues that arise when some contractor uses sub-contractors for work. The owner, Josh, is always responsive to questions and is so easy to work with.

Josh was very prompt in getting us a bid and delivered exactly what he promised. All of the Platinum employees were very professional and went out of their way to help us find solutions to little problems that inevitably crop up when remodeling in an older home. The subcontractors that were used were also very skilled and courteous. Overall the projects both came in on time and on budget and we felt we got quality work performed. We will definitely use them again and have recommended them to family and friends.

A representative came to my home and looked at all of the projects. He said I would have an estimate in a couple of days. He simply never got back to me. Although I have contacted him regarding the estimate, he has not responded.

I would have him back again and again. Absolutely great to work with!

Josh originally thought the subfloor would just need to be patched around the toilet, but when the vinyl was removed, it turned out that the whole subfloor had rotted and would need to be ripped out and replaced. It was a huge job and very unpleasant. Josh came over to help partway through the day and it was still a very long day for Marty, the handyman doing most of the work. Still, at the end of the first day, the new plywood was in place and they re-installed the toilet, as promised. The work the second day involved no unpleasant surprises. The bathroom looks great and the kitchen ceiling looks flawless. They added $100 to the original bid because the bathroom floor required so much more work than they'd expected, but I thought this was more than fair, and they were still much less expensive than the other company that gave me an estimate.

HE ORIGINALLY SAID WHEN DID THE ESTIMATE, IT WOULD BE EARLY AUGUST OR LATE JULY BEFORE HE COULD START THE JOB. HE CALLED BACK TO SAY HE WOULD HAVE TO RE-SCHEDULE BUT ENDED UP COMING OUT ON THE 14TH (OF AUGUST). HE LET US KNOW WHEN HE LEFT AT THE END OF THE JOB, WHICH I THOUGHT WAS NICE & HE DIDN'T GET UPSET IF I INTERRUPTED HIM WITH QUESTIONS WHICH I REALLY THOUGH WAS VERY PLEASANT.

Great! Best price, and most prompt of all of the estimates we had done. Work performed was excellent too.
