The project went very well. Chad arrived on time and was very professional throughout the entire process (estimate to final inspection). He did a good job keeping me up to date throughout the process and did a great job managing the various workers coming and going from our home. They did as much as they could to prevent the work from disrupting our normal routines. During the post inspection we noticed a couple small items and they very quickly fixed them without question. I would highly recommend Platinum and I would use them again in an instant.

With Josh and his crew is always goes smoothly and I do mean always! They are all very professional and treat your home and you with the utmost care. These are true master carpenters and painters. There isn't a job they haven't done in my home over the last three years, including taking care of my dogs when their in the house. After three years I couldn't possible trust them more then I do. We have a few more projects left for next year and I wouldn't think of any one other then Platinum Remodeling to do the job. Those of you who read this, my final comment is for you; You will be the biggest fool if you do not hire this company, the are professional, on time, always friendly, stay within your budget, provide you with fair pricing and the end results are amazing and truly beautiful...do yourself a favor and have Josh and his crew come and take care of all your remodeling and handyman needs....I know I will never use another company again, why would I? We've worked with Platinum before, on several smaller home improvement projects, and decided to turn to them again when we opted to remodel our outdated kitchen. They were extremely professional, skilled and a pleasure to work with. They have excellent relationships with the sub-contractors which ensured that the project was completed on budget and ahead of time. Platinum is always accessible, and provided daily updates on the kitchen's status. We're thrilled with the finished product, and would recommend Platinum in a heartbeat.

From the start we were impressed with Platinum Remodeling. They promptly responded to our request for an estimate and the price was right in the ballpark of what we were looking for. Chad was an excellent representative, estimator and project manager. We felt very comfortable with him and he did an excellent job explaining the process, the costs involved, and the projected timeline. Throughout the project he kept us up to date and was in communication both via phone and email. He answered all our questions promptly and fully and managed the Platinum Remodeling team very well. We always knew what to expect and when to expect it. The workers (Joe, Josh, Adam, Anna) were all courteous, professional, and always left a clean work space (and did their best to keep the rest of our home clean as well). The work they performed is impeccable. Of particular note is the awesome job Josh did tiling the shower and floor. It looks amazing! Anna did a spectacular job patching the walls and mudding/taping - everything is so smooth! Joe and Adam were efficient and polite. We're very happy with the work Platinum did and highly recommend them!

Josh was very easy to work with and was able to work within in our budget. The workmanship was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend using Platinum and will use the again in the future for other remodels.

We received a prompt response to our call and received an estimate in a short amount of time. When we explained that we were in a bit of a hurry due to company coming, the company was able to fit us in within a reasonable amount of time We really appreciated that. Everything went well with the toilet, faucet, and water system installations. Our only concern came when we had a discrepancy with our bill. We were charged for a job that we had declined. In addition, there were some hidden charges on our estimate that were difficult to find from our computer and were not included in the total estimate. When we brought this matter up, we did not feel that it was resolved completely. Aside from that mishap, we are happy with the way everything is presently working.

The project went well. They worked with me to meet my needs and get the project done as quickly as possible. The team working on the house was friendly and tidy. It felt good to work with a family-owned business who clearly cared about doing good work. They were reliable and communicated well. When problems arose, they explained them and resolved them quickly. I appreciated their punctuality and their responsiveness.

To say that Chad from Platinum was a lifesaver would be an understatement. At the time that I received the inspection report mentioned above my husband had already relocated and I was trying to work a full time job, take care of two young children and maintain our house for showings. I was totally overwhelmed. My parents advised me to contact a general contractor to do all of the work on the report rather than trying to manage a bunch of contractors on my own. I had a friend who used Platinum and saw they had excellent reviews on Angie's list. Chad from Platinum immediately returned my call and assured me they could handle everything on the report. He came out the next day and walked through the report with me with my two little kids in tow. At that first meeting I described our situation to Chad and I told him I didn't want to put thousands of dollars into the house that I wouldn't get back. I needed to get the house up to code so we could sell it nothing more. Any other contractor could have taken me for 10s of thousands of dollars. But he listen to my concerns and as we went through the list on the inspection report he identified areas that he believed did not need to be fixed. He said many of the items were based on FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) and there were not substantiated. After that meeting he contacted his sub-contractors (electricians, roofers, and chimney guys) to validate his thoughts. They wrote letters on my behalf to the relocation company to get exceptions on several line items on the report. This saved me a ton of money as well as the inconvenience of having multiple contractors in and out of my home. For the work that was completed by Platinum, Chad and his crew came in and finished the work in one day. They were on time, professional and considerate. My children stay home with a nanny during the day, so it was very important to me to know who was coming and going in my house. Chad came by the day his crew was there and every other day that his Chimney sub-contractors were there as well. The work on our Chimney was performed by London Chimney. As I mentioned above the chimney had to be totally rebuilt from the roof line to the top of the chimney and the ceramic liner was busted out and a new stainless steel liner was installed. The guys from London used a camera to take photos of the crack in the chimney liner and John from London and Chad helped us get money from our insurance to cover the Chimney work saving us $5000. There is just know way I could have survived the stress of this relocation without the help of Platinum Remodeling. I was basically a single parent, trying to work a full time job and sell a house in the worst real estate market in history. Like I said before, any other general contractor could have taken me for 10s of thousands of dollars on this job, but these guys actually helped me save a ton of money. The best part, our house sold last week, and nothing came back from the buyer's inspection, thanks to their help!!

Josh runs the business and provides the quotes. He is personable, responsive and generally great to work with. Dick did the carpentry work and he is a master. We couldn't be happier with his work. We highly recommend Platinum Remodeling. Also, they referred us to Ben Berg to do the stripping and staining of the cabinets. His attention to detail and overall work is simply gorgeous.

The work went fantastic and was reasonably priced. Josh and his crew were prompt, did a great job, and offered several suggestions to make the project better or to help me minimize the cost without skimping. They removed the wall separating my kitchen from the living/dining room and patched the remaining walls nicely, and at Josh's suggestion they built up a small ceiling beam to visually separate the two areas, thus saving me $600 in estimated costs to scrape and redo the popcorn ceiling in the kitchen. After other contractors replaced the flooring and removed wallpaper and painted, Platinum returned to install a stone tile backsplash in the kitchen on two separate wall areas. Josh and his crew again offered suggestions about the best way to go about the job and informed me of the installation cost differences between the various types of tiles I might choose. Josh is very personable and very easy to deal with and I would highly recommend Platinum.

We had a great experience with Platinum. We told Chris, our project manager, during our initial consultation that we had a limited budget ($30,000), and unlike other contractors we solicited bids from he was willing to work with us to develop creative cost-cutting strategies without sacrificing quality. We encountered a few blips during the project, but they were problems inherent in any remodel and not attributable to Platinum. Nonetheless, Chris was very responsive and communicative throughout the project. We love our new kitchen, and will definitely consider hiring Platinum for future projects.

I wasn?t too pleased with their estimate and I just went them because I figured out that they would do a more thorough job, but they did not. They were supposed to get the entire bathroom ready to paint. The first time they came out and did the re-caulking and the girl that did that was great. The rest of the job was not at all ready to paint and some of the taping was still showing through the plaster and stuff. I called them about it and told them that it should have been ready for painting and they told me that it would require another trip out there and that they figured that I could do sand it I. I told them that they were twice as much as everybody else had quoted me and because I thought that they had all these great reviews. I had to make them come out before I would pay them. They did com out and make it right, but I did not like the fact that they left the sand thing. I paid $400 for them to do less than $300 of work. I would make sure that everything that is to be done is worded with them.

It took quite awhile to get the estimate, but they were very professional, knowledgeable and explained everything thoroughly. They were very busy so it would have taken them longer to get it fixed. I would use them in the future, however, they are expensive.

A very fine experience. Josh and crew were punctual, efficient and courteous. We would highly recommend them and plan to use them again in the spring for some other home repair needs.

I really appreciate the quality of the work the crew did. Now I understand why your customers rave about the work you do. Dick Shonkwiler is an excellent craftsman and a keen problem solver. Anna did very good work as well. I?m surprised that she ran up and down the extension ladder like a monkey?the slope of the shingled roof makes me uncomfortable, especially on the second story. I?m also surprised with how quickly they completed the work. Thank you so much for providing such quality and craftsmanship!

They did a great job. We are currently using them in another area of our home. They do excellent tile work. They give great design advice. They did good electrical work as well.

Overall we were pleased with the finished product. There were several changes to the project (like finding a water damaged corner), and they were very flexible and fixed anything new that came up. They did a good job matching the new siding and window trim with the existing. The team was very knowledgeable about how to approach fixing up an old house. Yet, they kept the project focused on what needed to be done, rather than everything you might wish could be done. This helped us keep the project within our budget and ensured it was completed before winter.

Josh and his whole crew did a great job. They did beautiful work in the timeframe expected. The team is professional, personable and clean. We had changes and special requests along the way which they took in stride. It's great being able to communicate with the owner of any company via email, phone or text and get answers right away - Josh is wonderful at responding quickly and went above and beyond in helping us make cost-effective choices for the project. Even more, they worked around our attention seeking dog and treated her like part of the crew. I highly recommend Platinum for any remodel job.

I contacted Platinum with a list of 8-9 handyman tasks and asked for an estimate. Chris came for a visual inspection and then provided an estimate per job. The estimated costs for most of the tasks was so high that I ended up choosing four tasks that had to be done. The prices for these four were in the ballpark. I asked that the work be done around September 15th so I could schedule my housepainter immediately after that. Chris agreed. It came close to 9/15 and I emailed to make sure that everything was as planned. Chris replied that they had moved it back to 9/22 (with no notice to me.) When I stated that the 22nd had to be a firm date, Chris agreed. Another gentleman came on 9/22 and did perform the three tasks requested: re-roofed my woodshed, replaced the decking on a small balcony, replaced about 8 feet of wooding roof facing, and determined the source of water damage and repaired one corner of an upper floor overhang. All of the tasks but the roof facing were completed in one day and the work appeared to be done satisfactorily. Chris sent me the bill for the tasks, including a $310 charge for the roof facing. I asked for their findings on the water damage source in the corner of the upper floor's overhang, per the bid. After asking twice, the response I received was, "It was a leak. And it was an old leak." That's all of the information I could get. As for the roof facing and the charge thereon, Chris did allow that they hadn't done anything with the roof facing because the wood didn't look like it needed replacing. Chris then sent me a revised invoice including a charge for $110 for the roof facing. Upon my inquiry as to why he would be charging me $110 to "look at a board", Chris replied that he had been "thinking of something else" and erased the charge.

We have used Josh and his team for a variety of projects in our home and in clients homes (we are Realtor). They always do a fabulous job. They are great communicators, talented craftsmen and an extremely trustworthy group of people, which in today's world, is key to any successful business.

Did not go with the because I had to ask for them to submit a bid and gave a deadline. It was fairly high but they have great ideas and seem to be for those who are looking high-end and have a lot of money to spend. Seemed like they would be very professional which was why it was disappointing that it took so long to get a bid.

He did such a good job. You cannot see any line or marks on any of it. It looks like it is a solid piece of wall. He was extremely punctual.

I left a message and was called back the next day. We made an appointment for him to come out in a couple weeks to give me an estimate. In the meantime, though, the property management company had found someone to do all the necessary repairs. Chris was friendly and I'd consider using him in the future.
