Description of Work: They replaced an exhaust fan. But did not follow up on any of the other jobs as promised. After repeated calls regarding an order for a replacement window I got nothing but lame answers regarding whether or not they had in fact ordered the window. This company doesn't have a clue! I would certainly NOT use this company for any job much less recommend them to anyone!!!!

Description of Work: I honestly don't remember what we finally had done but we were satisfied with the work. I know the workman ordered a cover for our egress window from Home Depot which never came in and we wound up buying one ourselves. He couldn't repair our chimney as it needed specialized work and the office was supposed to find a name of a company that could but they never did find anyone. He gave us an estimate on replacement of a vanity top but we did not have him do it.

Description of Work: The name of the company that I made the check out to was North Country Handyman. It is not exactly the same as the one listed above. Do you also have a North Country Handyman listed in Minnapolis. He worked on back and front door to house. Did some small repair work in the house. He was prompt and polite. Cost was reasonable.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Handyman and set up an estimate. They never showed up. I called back after the block of time they scheduled me for was over and was told by the rep that she would contact the office and someone would call me. No one ever called me back.

Description of Work: I had an exterior door to my home that wouldn't close......i didn't know if it was swelling from the heat or a hinge problem? I called Mr.Handymen, got their voicemail and left a message. They did not return my call for quite a few days, but when they did ....the owner Mark was very pleasant and apologetic. I had to wait for service for another few days, but when Randy showed he was very nice and professional. It took awhile to figure out the mystery cause of why my door wasn't closing...in the end it was a good experience and i have a closed door !!! yay !!! I will use them again for any other handymen service i may need. Thank you Mark & Randy.

+ 1 moreSteve called back promptly and was abundantly helpful over the phone. They wouldn't handle both jobs - they would subcontract the deck construction. Steve gave me the number for their subcontractor to ask him questions directly. What I really appreciated was the fact that Steve took the time to go over potential costs and ways that I could save money. Ultimately we went with a company that could do the entire project.
Description of Work: I called to receive an estimate about deck construction and front door and storm door replacements.

+ -1 moreMike was on time. He explained the problem and what he had to do. He took the extra step of permanently fixing the problem so I don't have to go through this again next year. Mr. Handyman doesn't haul away trash which is a little annoying. What am I supposed to do with a big piece of damaged drywall? I would be willing to pay an extra $15 to have them haul big stuff away; I'd have to pay the city to come and do it anyway.
Description of Work: I had a leak in the ceiling in the garage from a cracked pipe. They removed the damaged drywall, found the correct pipe, replaced the pipe, and created a panel to get to the pipes instead of drywalling the pipes back in. He also created a space between the pipes and the furnace (on the other side of the wall) so the space where the pipes are will be heated and won't freeze again. He fixed the problem as well as fixed the symptoms.

+ -1 moreTODD INSTALLED A SCREEN DOOR. THERE WASN'T AN EXISTING ONE TO REMOVE. THE DOOR HAS SOME EXTRA FEATURES AND TODD WAS VERY THOROUGH TO MAKE SURE IT WAS ALL SET UP CORRECTLY. IT TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN I ANTICIPATED BUT THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD.
