Mr Handyman of SW Minneapolis & SW Suburbs

This was a big project for me and I am glad I had the guys at Mr Handyman! They were professional, skilled and very detailed on the repair of my deck! They worked with the existing structure, city permits, and other challenges and gave me a great deck! I would definitely call them again!

They gave me a 2 hour appointment time window for the following week with Dave. They confirmed the appointment several days in advance. I spent the entire afternoon waiting for Dave. He never showed up. He never called. I called the office to find out if he was coming. No answer and no response to my voicemail asking what happened. Two weeks later and they still have not contacted me to explain. Terrible service.

Mike was efficient, thorough, knowledgeable, and did fantastic detail work! I will be hiring him again for many projects around the house!

The work was great and the workers were personable and skilled. Everyone I talked to was very nice. Scheduling proved to be a bit of an issue. It took two days as estimated, but it took five working days to finish due to scheduling issues. To be fair, half a day was a rain delay. The job turned out nice and I would hire them again.

Great. Didn't have to wait weeks. I waisted weeks checking with Angi/HomeAdvisors sending me listings of companies that were hundreds of miles away and not wanting to come all the way here to fix a couple of woodpecker holes. We did our own search and actually found who we used before and saved hundreds of dollars. Really disappointed in what happened to Angies List.

Josh was great! He showed up in the specified time frame and was polite and respectful. He completed the projects within a reasonable amount of time. This was a massive piece of furniture and he got it done without a problem. I enjoyed chatting with Renee in the office, too. She is kind and professional.

All was done in a timely fashion and I am satisfied with the work.

We needed caulking fixed in multiple parts of our home. We also needed a toilet paper holder fixed. The repair man got it all done in one hour. It is a great rate if you need a lot of little things fixed around the house and you need it to look good.

It took some ingenuity on the part of the handyman, but he determined how to install the new baseboard covers and heat registers in unconventional openings. I am very pleased. He was here for 4.5 hours which included travel time to purchase materials.

I can't say enough GREAT things about Mr. Handyman. Josh was prompt, insightful, and never flinched when I kept adding to his "to do" list! Absolutely efficient service, courteous attitude, and cooperative nature - they are my Mr. Handyman for life!!

They were great to work with. Called to confirm the job and answer any questions I had. Work was done quick and professionally. I plan to use them.

I was happy with them. They will take care of small things like a slow leak in your toilet. I was really happy with them before, the few times they came out. The guy that came out did like 6 or 7 different jobs. He actually pointed out things that were important that needed done, that I didn't know about, like soffet and fascia on the corners of the house. Those were rotting to some extent so he fixed that. The trim around some of my windows was getting old, so he did some restoration and some painting of the trim and even some of the front of my house that needed painted. He replaced the part of the attic that is shaped like a triangle on the side. That had holes from woodpeckers and small animals were getting in so he fixed that. My mailbox was starting to lean, he put some concrete in it to hold it up. There was a door that had a loose latch on it and he fixed that. It was a variety of little things like that, and he did a good job. Yes, I would use them again.

I was contacted right away by Renae who asked additional questions as to what needed to be done, and she asked me to send pictures. She said the technicians would be in the office the following day for a meeting so she would have one of them contact me and send me an estimate. After a week I never heard from anybody so I called the number listed on the website and left a voice mail message. I never heard back from anybody so I decided they didn't want my work and I moved on to somebody else. Yes, it may have been a small job, but I wanted to see how they did before I gave them more work.

Perfect. Good communication & clean up.

I had a job scheduled. Two weeks out. Got a call to confirm. Then no show. Took off work to be at my home. Never showed. I called to see what happened. No answer. Left a message called back. Sent an email, never returned.

This did not go well. The guy who arrived immediately began to grumble about it being a Friday and how he "keeps telling them" not to schedule plumbing jobs on Friday. He wasn't able to repair the storm door because I didn't have the correct hinge and when asked him what I should buy, he didn't know. he went on to replace the fixtures on the sink in the main floor bath which went well but then when I presented the new fixtures for the shower, he rolled his eyes and complained that "they never told me" about that and that it would take several hours. Fine, "skip it", I told him. He went downstairs to the basement bathroom and replaced fixtures on that sink however they are crooked and the sink is now unstable on the pedestal stand. At this point, I asked him to leave and didn't even want him to work on the threshold. He was so unpleasant and made me feel as though I was a bother rather than a customer. When I received an Email from Mr. Handyman the following week asking me to rate the service, I was honest and clear about the issues. I then received a subsequent Email indicating they were sorry my experience wasn't a good one and that somebody would be in touch with me to discuss and resolve. It's four months later and I still haven't gotten a call from anyone. Mostly I just wanted the bathroom sink and new fixtures attended to and made right but haven't heard from them although they wasted no time cashing my check after I wrote it. I've had hit and miss service from these folks over the years but this experience will cease all further calls to them for service.

On 9/3/2014 I submitted a service request to Mr. Handyman to schedule time to have some work done. I immediately received an automated "Request Service Confirmation" (message ID: #3040891#) yet to date, I haven't received any follow-up communication from the provider to schedule an appointment - it's been over a week. Making matters worse, when I submitted the service request online via a standard form that Mr. Handyman provided on their website, I was asked if I "wanted to receive occasional tips and offers from Mr. Handyman via Email" to which I answered "NO" which is verified in the "Request Service Confirmation" I received. However, this morning, I received an offer Email from Mr. Handyman in my inbox. Admittedly I'm miffed that in a weeks time they can't be bothered to follow through to schedule an appointment yet they can send me junk mail despite my request not to do so. When you take my personal information and use it to your advantage yet provide no valuable goods or services, you've completely lost me as a customer.

John & helper removed all furniture from room and did all work professionally and stayed with the project until complete. Another company will replace carpet after which John & helper will come back to put furniture back.

They arrived on time, worked hard through the job and completed the work on schedule. In particular, they framed in and mounted an internior door. They hung, taped, sanded and fished a number of unfinished areas in the home. They filled and finished a number of minor holes in the walls. They textured the ceiling where needed.

The service was good. It was a little bit pricey, but the overall outcome was satisfactory.
