It was OK, I would say. They came and had a really difficult time doing it. So they had to postpone the installation and they never called me back and just didn't show up for two days after they said they would. I had to actually call them to find out when they were, indeed, coming to finish the project, so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. The technician who installed the door was fantastic and I would give him an A+, unfortunately, the company as a whole I would definitely give a D.

Arrived on time, went directly to work and completed everything in less than half an hour.

Everything went as planned. I am very happy with the service from start to finish. I changed my mind on the type of garage door and was directed to Bill who changed my order and told me what to expect in the days to come. The garage door arrived on time, the appointment was made for install and the installer arrived on time. The installer (Richard) was very nice, answered all my questions and did a very nice job. The whole experience was an A+ and I would recommend them to all my friends. Who knew a garage door could make me so happy. Thank you.

Discovered broken spring at 6:00 pm. Called Metro based on reviews on Angie's list and the fact that they repalced springs 8 years ago. I was given the choice of making an appointment or getting emergency service. The person on the phone did a good job explaining the cost and timing differences between the two choices. I opted for emergency service which was almost twice as much as scheduling a service. Technician called me back in about ten minutes and told me he could be there in about 2 hours since he had one appointment in C*** Rapids before me. Tom showed up on time and quickly fixed the spring. He completed the repairs around 9:15 and spent about 15 minues teaching me about garage door openers and answering my questions. My opener is 19 years old and I had concerns about how long it might last and what it might cost to replace it. He was very honest and helpful even though he did not need to be.

It went uneventfully. The price was identical to what was quoted, the service provider came at the agreed upon time, and the garage door was working again in less than 1 hour.

The work went fine but the scheduling took a little longer. It seemed like they were scheduling a little bit further out for Angie’s List customers. So I wouldn’t rate that maybe as high. The person that did the work arrived on time and they did a nice job. My garage door apparently had some kind of mechanism that needed a sturdier component compared to what was advertised in the deal so they ended up not replacing the part and gave me a credit to use with them at anytime and I haven’t used them since. I think they do a fine job otherwise and it didn’t work out for this deal.

Called at 7:40 this morning and there was technician at the house at 2:20 this afternoon. Jim was the technician that serviced my door. He was a gentlemen, explained everything in detail and did the work promptly. I paid what I was quoted. I would recommend this service provider for any garage door needs you have.

With the spring broken and my car inside, I needed service as soon as possible. It was before office hours so I spoke with emergency service; with opening time just an hour away, we left a message for them to contact me and get on the schedule during normal hours (much less expensive). The return call was very prompt (15 minutes before opening); I was added to the morning schedule and by noon the springs were fixed and routine maintenance performed. I was impressed with all interactions, from the emergency rep to the office rep to the service tech.

We always use Metro Garage Door, they are always prompt and efficient. Was glad to be able to take advantage of Angie's List coupon for this years visit!

They were very prompt and polite. He showed me how to put WD40 in the rollers in the door and then replaced rollers.

Easy scheduling, responsive, work done correctly the first time. My prioblem ( and the "F" rating") is that we had Metro replace both single and double garage door springs 4 1/2 years ago, and the Oct 2008 receipt states "Replacement garage door springs are warranted for a five (5) year period." Metro Garage Door now insists that is only for double garage door springs, and that single garage door springs are only warranted for 1 year. (The 1 year warranty for springs is NOT noted anywhere on the contract -- only labor is warranted for 1 year.) Accordingly, my opinion is that Matro Garage Door failed to uphold its written warranty to me. As otherwise good as it is, I don't know that I would use them in the future, and will warn anyone seeking a referral that Metro does good work, but either ignore the warranty information or get something even more specific in writing. I thought I had a written warranty, but that didn't do me much good.

The garage door had opened spontaneously while we were away a couple times and we had taken to disconnecting the drive manually. The last time we did this seemed to be the kicker as suddenly the sensors decided they were no longer going to work. Metro came out and basically pronounced the unit too old to be worth fixing. They quoted what I felt was a reasonable price for replacement and went to work on the spot. Did a quick and effective job and everything seems to be working well. I give them extra points for honesty. When I asked about the health of the old wooden door, the installer stated that there was ultimately no cost savings to doing the two together and that we might as well let the door go for a little longer. I was glad not to have to put off getting the opener fixed while waiting for a door to be ordered, and I am sure he was glad to get the job done and move on. But still, I appreciated the honest input.

The technician from Metro Garage Door Company was great. In addition to doing all the work promised, I asked for extra help because my garage door wouldn't close whenever the sun was shining on it. The Tech adjusted the safety sensors and no extra charge and "made my day"!

They are gorgeous. I would have never thought garage doors could make such a difference in the overall appearance of a home. The install went very smoothly. Metro door had left me a voicemail letting me know that our initial installation appointment would have to be changed from am to pm. That was no problem, instead of taking the morning off of work, I took off the afternoon. The day of the install, I was in my office at work and Justin called and said he would be at the house very shortly, which was 9 am. I told him I was at work and thought my appointment was changed until the afternoon. Justin said no problem, asked what would be a good time. I said noon, he said fine, and it all worked out. Justin came out right when he said he would. Took the same amount of time to install he said it would and I didn't even know he was here. The option that I chose with windows and insulation is a day and night improvement over our old doors. It has been very hot, and it is not nearly as hot in the garage as it was. I'm anxious to see what a difference it makes in the winter. The light that comes in through the windows is wonderful, although, we now need to thoroughly clean the garage!

It went very well. Door is running as smooth as it did when it was new.

I got a courtesy call even before telling me he could start the day with my garage. Randy arrived exactly at 8 o clock and had it done in a half an hour so I could get on with my day. Excellent transaction.

My niece just bought a townhouse and I helped her find someone to fix her garage door problem by giving her names from Angie's List. They ended up being late - she had to call and they were running behind. She was not at home but the problem was corrected and now my garage door works.

He arrived on time, replaced and checked everything. Now our very heavy wood door opens and closes so quietly we can't believe it.

Our garage door would not go up, it was an old wooden heavy door. The price seemed reasonable. It was very convenient, they came to the house. He recommended replacing the whole thing because it was a lighter door. He had pictures so we could choose a door. My husband was very pleased and impressed. They did what they said they would do. He had never seen someone replace the door so easily and quickly. One person only. They hauled away all the old heavy stuff. We did not have a standard size garage and he ordered it. That went quickly and efficiently.

All went well. Arrived exactly as scheduled, was quick and complete as promised.

Sales rep came out within 1 - 2 days of my inquiry and provided a quote on the spot. Their price was better than other quotes I had received plus I wanted the work completed by a certain date and they were able to fit me in for the work the following week. Quality products and quality install. Would definitely use them again but with a whole new system, I shouldn't have to for many, many years to come!
