Be careful about the warranty on their work - they do not stand behind it. They emphasize a 5 year warranty, but that is for parts only. Anything after 30 days will require both trip fees and labor fees (e.g. you can pay for them to confirm they screwed up). Long story short, they completely undersized the springs on my repair. "Service" manager spent more time gaslighting me on the phone than it would have taken for a tech to come out and quickly see they botched the job. Not only did it cost me a redo from another reputable company, but a replacement for the garage door opener, which stripped out under the load of the door on the undersized springs. Plenty of other great companies in the area, no need to waste time and money with Metro.

Technicians Joe and Justin installed my garage door. They did a thorough timely job. They were knowledgeable and friendly!

We had an excellent overall experience with Metro Garage Door. We have two garage doors, each with its own garage door opener. One of our garage door openers pulled the header board loose and wouldn't function. We called Metro Garage Door in the morning, and they made room for us that same day in the afternoon. Paul was the service person. He has professional and efficient. He replaced the broken header board, reattached the bracket to the new header board, reattached the rail, and aligned the mechanism so that the door worked smoothly again. He then performed a 22-point inspection on each door. We noticed late that day that the door he fixed was making a loud vibrating type noise. We called Metro Garage Door to come and check it. No one was able to come the next day, but A.J. did come the next business day after that. A.J. analyzed the cause of the vibration, eliminated it, and did not charge for a second visit because it was "re-call" work. A.J. was also professional and efficient.

The young men who installed my new garage door did a wonderful job. They patiently made the necessary adjustments so I no longer have rain and snow coming in like the old door. They were so professional! In addition to the garage door install, they refastened a yard tool rack to my garage wall. It was so loose, I couldn't use it for years. Now I can!!!! I'm so happy about that! I would recommend Metro Garage hands down! They are wonderful!

With this business, I believe the technician performed a good job, however I have concerns with how their office handles questions. One of the door springs had broken and needed to be replaced. The technician called in advance of the appointment I received and showed up on time. After an inspection, the technician recommended that the cables were also in poor shape and should be replaced as well. Both the springs and cables were installed without any problems. One difficulty I encountered was that a day after the work was performed, I noticed a potential issue with how the cables were adjusted. I called back to ask about it, but the individual answering the phone was unable to identify whether I was seeing a real problem or not. I was not allowed to receive a call back from a technician to ask them, but could schedule another trip by a technician where I may billed again. I disagreed with this approach and was told they would check with a manager on what could be done and call me back. I never received another call.

Garage door replaced last November. Arrived on time and was happy with completed work. Was advised of how to maintain garage door and parts. New door is great!

The work will be completed on 12/2/21. I tried to use the 5% discount coupon from Angi's and was told by 3 employees at Metro that they do not accept this coupon. Angi's should remove it from their site since it is considered to be invalid. False advertising. Thanks!

The previous garage door contractor tried to force me to buy a whole new garage door about 6 months ago, but Jordan, checked on the door and just took about an hour to figure out the problem and fixed it. He replaced some brackets and 2 tracks and the door works perfectly, and he did a great job.

My garage door stopped closing on a freezing MN morning. Metro Garage Door came to take a look, quoted us $610 to replace our LiftMaster, but could not do anything that day and needed to reschedule. When they left, I called another company, who was available the same day and did the whole job the same day for $350. When I called Metro Garage Door to cancel, they said I owed them $110 for a 10-minute visit where they did not do anything. In our previous conversations, Metro Garage Door failed to mention that we are paying for the estimate. So, the charge come as a complete surprise.

Jordan came, assessed everything, gave the opener a thorough check and solved the problem. He was informative, professional, Aplus overall.

They did not show up. I scheduled the service by phone on Tuesday, October 22, 2020. They promised the service technician would arrive between noon and 4 pm — a 4 hour window — on Thursday, October 22. They also said I would receive a call 15 minutes before the tech arrived. I called around 1 pm on the 22nd to confirm the tech was still coming before 4. Sam, the female CSR, checked with dispatch and confirmed to me that a tech had me on his schedule and that everything was on schedule. I waited. And waited. Nobody showed up. And they didn’t call either. At 4 pm. I called THEM. I explained the problem to Sam, who had again answered the phone. She asked again for my address, and then put me on hold while she said she’d try to find out what happened. A few minutes later, the line was picked up by someone who identified himself as “Vince,” and said he was the “service manager.” Vince then said the tech would becoming “after he makes sure his truck is fully stocked so that he can service you.” Odd. When I asked how long it would take the tech to get to my house, Vince said, “let me look at the GPS.” He then said about 11 minutes. I asked where the tech was coming from, Vince didn’t need to look at the GPS for that: he sheepishly replied, “the warehouse.” No apology. I asked Vince for his last name, and he refused to provide it. I was miffed. I said, “Thanks, VINCE,” and he sarcastically replied “you’re welcome, SIR,” emphasizing “sir” to make the point that he didn’t think I had any right to be miffed or be treated like a respected customer. ABOUT 20 minutes later the tech, Dana, finally showed up. He was fine; nice guy; none of this was his fault, and I told him that; and seemed to do a good job, explaining what he was doing, which I appreciated. Nobody ever apologized for their tardiness and lack of communication.

Fantastic! Randy called ahead to let me know he was on his way and was right on time. We discussed repairing the existing openers that were 10 years old. He told me about the benefits of newer systems and I chose to replace rather than repair. The job took exactly the amount of time he estimated and the price was fair. My garage door closed with a loud crash. I saw broken wire cables on each side of the garage. I checked a few recommendations online and called Metro Garage Door around 1pm on a Friday. The woman on the phone was really nice and gave me an estimated price based on what I told her. A worker was at my house by 2pm and took a look. The damage was more than it seemed because the main coil was also broken. He repaired it and got it “converted” to the standard set up (better than the bad DIY the previous homeowner did). Price was reasonable. Job done by 3pm. Would definitely call again. The worker was polite and nice to work with.
