Serviced and adjusted a garage door that was not operating properly. I was convinced I was going to need a new door, but after the service I believe I can get some more life out of it.

Excellent service and workman ship

Disappointed with my first selection using Angie's list recommendation. I compared twin cities garage door and this company and I regret not going with twin cities garage door. I met the person who gave me an estimate which was slightly higher but went with the company because they were so prompt to meet to provide a formal quote. Once I signed the agreement I had no updates for four days upon which I called the sales person who was quick to remove himself from the discussion and told me to call the scheduler. The scheduler was nice enough to listen to my frustration and scheduled a following Monday install which was fine. The installer was nice enough but upon inspection of the work, I found several deficient work qualities. Gaps in seals, piecing multiple seals together because he didn't have proper parts. I told him that piecing parts were not acceptable and he came back later that day to Address one of the errors. The other shoddy work which is a gap that he filled by cutting a small block to fill an open gap that I had to point out is still there instead of him taking the initiative to fix it. I guess in miss the days of people taking pride in their work. In writing this I'm realizing just how disappointed I am with this experience. I'm not sure how many people reviewed them on door replacement but there is no way I would recommend them for door replacement based on my experience.

Arrived promptly, checked the door thoroughly, made suggestions for improvement which I accepted and did the work in an exemplary manner.

He was great. He knew exactl;y what the problem was and it was fixed right away. There wasn't anything wrong with the garage door. The GFCI in the upper bathroom outlet had tripped and it was connected to outlet for the garage door.

The serviceman identified the problem within a minute, even though I looked at it for 30 mins, and was able to fix it within 3 mins. Only charged me for the trip charge since it was so easy.

Very smoothly. Courteous, professional. Scheduling glitch (time of day - was supposed to be afternoon appointment - arrived at 7;30 AM), but forgivable. Call and done. I wish all home repairs were this easy and worry free.

This was a fantastic experience! The spring on our garage door broke. I first called the provider who had previously replaced springs for us. They couldn't see us till Monday - today is Friday. I went directly to Angies List where I saw that Metro Garage Door Co had several hundred reviews. I called. I was told someone would call later in the afternoon. Not five minutes later I received a call. Five minutes after that Randy was at my door. He looked at the situation and provided repair options, options I didn't know existed. After giving him the go-ahead, he went to work and was done with the job within the hour. I cannot tell you how pleased we are and delighted to have Metro Garage Door Co listed in our Contacts. We will call again.

I had purchased this deal in order to have my garage doors tuned up. However, a few days before my appointment, the spring on my main garage door broke and I was stuck inside the garage! They were able to squeeze me in, come out quickly to do my necessary repairs after explaining EVERYTHING, inspect my second garage door, and applied the value of my deal to the total cost. I was very pleased with their service

We were very happy with the tune-up. We scheduled a 4 hour window for the following day. The Metro technician called 15-20 minutes before arriving. Everything went smoothly. He also offered pointers on potential issues to watch for in the future (our doors are original to the house and 45+ years old).

My experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend this company. They were very courteous and thorough with their inspection. They even included me in the inspection when they found something wrong to explain the situation and offer solutions.

I had a service man visit and he said he would have to come back. I called the office to tell them and they said that he couldn't come on Friday, he would come on Monday. Friday the repairman showed up and couldn't put the opener in because the type he had didn't fit. He asked if my son could cut a piece of wood off so it would fit and I said he could. Then he says that instead he was going to put in a smaller unit that was just as good. I also asked him about my garage door and he said I didn't need another one and that the seal on the bottom was fine (I did need a new garage door which another company put in and the rubber on the bottom of the old one was cracked & worn out, not fine). On Monday another man showed up and knew absolutely nothing about was suppose to be happening and my concerns about the change in opener. He also told me that they didn't put rubber seals on the floor to prevent water from getting in and then the man in the office said they did do that. I had enough, I had no confidence in this company and did not want them to work on my house. I spoke to them and told them I wanted my money refunded and they agreed.

There was some scheduling confusion - they never contacted me to schedule the job until I called them quite a few days after Angies List said they would contact me. But - once that got straightened out they came on site and did a great job.

Excellent. Garage door was not closing properly and this service fixed it.

Note to your editors: this wasn't actually the Big Deal, I think that was in 2011 & if I didn't report on it at the time I apologize. I have used Metro Garage Door for about six years, in the interests of keeping the door functioning properly and averting any problems that can be pre-empted. They have always scheduled promptly (this time, almost too promptly; I couldn't use the earliest time offered), arrived within the window given, functioned quickly and effectively, and explained anything needed. I fully expect to call again next fall in preparation for winter.

Arrived on schedule, worked fast, did a good job. Door hasn't worked this well since it was new. Highly recommend!

Called to have a garage door quoted as part of my process of getting a few different quotes. There were very timely, provided an immediate appointment, follow up was great. I did not end up using them because I was able to get a lower price with another company but they were at a disadvantage due to a special Costco was running. Otherwise their pricing was very competitive and I actually felt bad not going with them.

This went very well. Our garage door used to look like it was slightly crooked and now it runs much more smoothly and is aligned. The different rollers also make it quieter. I am very happy with their work. The rep was also very nice.

He cleaned and oiled up the runners and chain. This is an old garage door opener and it works like new.

Scott arrived as scheduled. Our garage door had become very noisy opening and closing. He performed a tuneup and now the door is as quiet as it's ever been.

Metro showed up, replaced the rollers on our garage door and made a few necessary adjustments to our garage door that is 5 years old. Our garage door is gorgeous and worth about over $10K to replace. The added value of having Metro do this routine check-up probably prevented me from ever having to replace this garage door, which I didn't even know I would ever have to do. Simple bad habits like leaving the garage open for extended periods of time is extremely bad for you garage door, it can warp and buckle leading to having to have it replaced. Thanks Metro!
