The service was fantastic. Randy installed an opener that is side mounted to the door. This greatly reduced the noise from the opener in the house that would wake our young children, who have rooms over the garage. He didn't have the opener on hand, but returned in just a couple of days and installed it very quickly. Randy gave me many additional pointers and recommendations. When I suggested work that would have increased the cost of the project, he told me it actually wasn't necessary. To me, this means he was looking out for what was best for our situation, and not for how to maximize his profit. I would certainly use Metro Garage Door again, though I hope I don't have to for a long time!

It went fine. He was on time and pleasant and did everything he was supposed to do.

I called for estimate whether to repair or replace on 3/3/14 and Randy was here same day to quote price. For the quality of the door and new installation of all, except door opener was reasonable. We placed our order on 3/3/14 for the door. Door came in on 3/11/14 and had an appointment for 3/12/14 for 10:00am and installer called at 8:21 and was here by 9:00am and was finished at 1:15pm. The door is beautiful and the installation was so professional. Nothing to cleanup. The door was sealed where ever there was a gap before, I didn't realize that this is the way installation should be. This company I would used again and again. I am so thankful for the wonderful service and quality!! Kyle installed the new door and was meticulous about how it is supposed to be. A great company! Thank you all!

Called to schedule appointment and explained job to be done. Agreed on day and time range. I took off work to wait for them and they never showed up for appointment nor called. Have reached out to a different company and they have come within the same day

It worked out just fine. It was completed in one day. It was done fairly soon after the purchase. I was really pleased with the experience.

I scheduled an appointment on Sunday 03/09/2014 for Monday 03/10/2014 and when scheduling, I asked twice that that the repairman come after 4:30 pm. On Monday morning at 7:30 AM (probably too early for a business call also) I received a message stating the repairman would come between noon and 5 pm. When calling back to state I could not be home until after 4 pm, I was told they could not do that and that they could only say it would be a window between 12 and 5. I'm disappointed I was not told this when I originally called and specifically stated that 4:30 is the time I could be home.

They were great. They came and replaced two cables and got it done within an hour or less. The guy was pleasant, and he was real nice. I paid an additional amount, because I had the coupon, and I was just going to have them come out and check it, and all of a sudden, the cable broke, and so I called them. The guy who came out was very good. He was excellent. I didn't call them until a few months after I had purchased it. The garage door doesn't make noise, and he told me how to lubricate it, and it works great. They were responsive, they came out the same day I called. I would consider using them in the future, and I would recommend them to a friend.

Fixed it quickly. Called back right away.

My old garage door opener finally stopped working. I was hoping that it could be fixed, but the technician said it needed to be replaced. The technician told me that because I have an I-beam in my garage, they would need to do some drilling to get the new garage door I had selected to fit. That was going to cost extra. When I asked the tech (Steve) what he would recommend, he recommended the LiftMaster 8500 (which was more expensive) because it could be installed on the side of the door instead of overhead. That would give me more garage clearance, too, since it actually lifts the door higher than an overhead, chain-based opener would. As a single female, I always worry about being taken advantage of. I agreed to the LiftMaster 8500 and decided I would have them install a key pad on the outside of the door. In addition, several rollers needed to be replaced and some of the hinges on the door were actually upside-down (former owner used McGuyver methods to fix various things in the townhouse). When I got home I couldn't believe how quiet the LM 8500 was!! And I looked on Amazon to see the reviews and it's pretty unanimous - the LM 8500 is a GREAT garage door opener. I even bought the LM Gateway on Amazon that will allow me to open and close my garage door from anywhere using my smart phone. There is currently no ongoing charge for this, which is great! In the end, I feel very well taken care of by Metro Garage Door. I think the LM 8500 is a great opener and I'm glad the technician recommended it. When the scheduler gives you an estimate, they don't really know about issues like I-beams (if they had asked me, I'm sure I would have said, "No, I don't think I have an I-beam running through my garage."). I would recommend Metro Garage and I plan to use them in the future to do tune ups.

Had issues with garage door jamming due to broken roller. Saw roller replacement deal on the List and purchased on 2/4. No one responded to deal within the stated 2 day response time. Finally called the vendor and were able to get appointment. Vendor stated that they could not honor the coupon because garage door was too old. Vendor performed services to make the door serviceable. However, after only three opening cycles, it has jammed again.

Metro Garage Door was very easy to work with. They were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. I bought an Angie's list coupon and they delivered on all of the benefits including replacing 10 rollers. I thought my opener was shot but all I needed was some adjustments and lubrication. Our garage door has never been so smooth and quiet. I should have had them out five years ago for the tune up.

The tech was on time and professional. We were curious if we needed a new door he indicated our existing was a really good door. He did the tune up and the door continues to function well.

Before having my house repainted, it was recommended I replace the garage door, which would no longer hold paint adequately. I looked on Angie's List for local garage door companies and Metro had a high rating. A rep was prompt at giving a very fair estimate, explained his recommendations well and the installation service was great. Would call them in the future without question.

The guy was honest and didn't suggest anything that wasn't totally necessary. All we needed was a 'garage door service' which apparently you're supposed to do ever year. Pretty sure ours hadn't been done in more than 10 yrs. Lesson learned, but thankfully Metro was an honest company to work with and it wasn't a super expensive lesson.

My experience with Metro Garage Door Co was good. It really was good, the guy was knowledgeable and I think I am fine. I had him do something else too. It was all good.

From start to finish - this was some of the best money we've spent! Our garage door was screeching and sticking for far too long. We finally looked in Angie's Lis. to find someone to help us with that. We saw that these guys had a deal - and good reviews - so we went with it. Scheduling took place ASAP and the work was done within the week. Every day since - we've been glad we finally made that call!

The technician was wonderful. Unfortunately, we was late and dispatch actually cancelled on us, after waiting for the service for 3 days, due to an emergency . We then received a call from the technician telling us he was on his way.

The technician was on time and quite professional. He replaced the center spring mount. However 12 days later, the door would not stay down, would automatically reverse to open. It happened in the middle of a snow storm when personal belongings for a move were stored in the garage and needed to be secured. The problem occurred and I called for service on a Friday morning explaining the problem and saying that Metro had done work on the door within the last two weeks. Not being a technician, I didn't know if the problem would be covered by the warranty or not. I was told the earliest someone could come out was the following Monday. So I called NorthernDoor and got it repaired in a timely manner. The technician from NorthernDoor said the problem was caused by one of the drums not being tightened appropriately after the spring mount was repaired causing the door to go off track. A mistake. I informed Metro I was dissatisfied and received a callback essentially saying I probably didn't explain the problem clearly enough when I called in else they would have come out, and no way were they going to pay for someone else's work. Though Metro's representative agreed with the NorthernDoor technician's assessment, he said Metro was not willing to discount the original charge even though a mistake was made. Essentially their warranty was worthless and I was out another $100 dollars. I will not use Metro again and will not recommend them to others.

It was fine. I thought they were very efficient and prompt. They did their job well. The price was very reasonable.

the installers came out as scheduled (it was snowing pretty hard - so kudos to them) and they installed the lock in less and an hour. it was just what i ordered.
