Description of Work: I am a 65 year old widow who has no explerience with garage door openers. I wnt to Angies list and selected Metro Garage Doors and am SO glad I did. The problem was a simple repair, but Scott spent a lot of time teaching me about maintaining my garage door and how to do minor repairs. It was money well spent for something I can now fix myself. Description of Work: I made an appointment with "Larry" to have him give us an estimate on a new garage door. He called one day last week 30 minutes before his appointment and asked if he could reschedule because his daughter's car wouldn't start and he needed to help her. I told him no problem - we would simply reschedule. I contacted him the next day and we made another appointment for the following day. Once again he called me about 30 minutes before the appointment and asked if he could reschedule again as he forgot that it was his wife's birthday! In this case for me, "two strikes and you're out"! Too many other selections on Angie's List!

Description of Work: Installed new garage door opener, 3/4 HP lift master with 2 remotes. Also put in a support strut at top of door to reinforce the top edge so it does not bend over time. The technician did not have the 8 foot rail necessary for my door on his truck, apparently I have 24 inch panels(8ft door)instead of traditional 21(7 ft door)inch panels. Although he mentioned that many newer homes do have 8 ft. doors. He had to drive all the way back to the shop to get the 8ft. rail and came back 90 min later. Although I appreciated this effort, since I needed this done on a Saturday, it seems like they should ask that question when scheduling or else be prepared with the 8 ft. rail on the truck. The rest of the job went fine, the work seems good, the tech was professional.
