A-1's service was excellent! Fred came out to estimate and was friendly and attentive and gave us all the details and made us comfortable with the process. Everyone in the office was great to work with. I came by to pick up boxes several times with no trouble. By the way, Fred's estimate was almost exactly correct. On the day of the move, Pete, Tim, John and Carlos showed up right on time with two moving trucks and all the blankets, straps and dollies they needed to get the job done. They clearly showed me a wristwatch as they "started the clock" then they got down to work. They were fast, careful and super-humanly strong and coordinated. I was really impressed. Carlos quickly took apart furniture as necessary and put it back together in the new house flawlessly. They showed great care in both houses and did not leave a scratch anywhere. The guys finished much earlier than promised. They were also friendly, fun guys. Since the move, I have been taking the cardboard boxes back to A-1 in batches as we empty them during unpacking. They have been refunding the cost of the boxes just as promised. No hassle, great service, clear communication - overall best customer experience I have had in a while. Thanks a lot you guys!

A-1 Moving was fantastic and I am very glad I chose to hire them. They were professional and helpful in scheduling and providing packing material prior to the move. On moving day, Carlos and Jose arrived on time and were very professional as well. They worked hard and fast and I was continually amazed at their strength, stamina, and ingenuity. We moved into an older house with a very narrow and steep staircase. When our dresser would not make the turn from the stairs to the 2nd floor hallway they didn't give up. Instead they hoisted the item up through the second floor bedroom window! Beside taking great care of our belongings, they also disassembled my son's loft bed and reassembled it in his new room. They went beyond my expectations and I couldn't be more happy.

It was great. They worked Fast. They made our life easier.

The two guys who moved me were professional, fast, and precise with the packing of the POD. I was panicing because both the POD people and the moving company told me I would need another POD. Not with these guys!! They knew how to pack that limited space. In fact they did it so well, there was room to spare!! The only negative thing was that I found two small nicks in the furniture but to be honest I'm not sure if it was the way it was packed or when the POD was transported to and from their warehouse. Those nicks were minor comparison to everything that was moved. Will and HAVE RECOMMENDED this company to my friends.

I received a prompt reply to my message requesting an estimate. The quote was the best out of 4 I contacted. The team, Rodney and Chris, arrived on time. They worked hard and efficiently. Great guys to work with and I will call them again in the future!

Very professional, pleasant and efficient men. Although they padded the 46 year old Italian marble coffee table slab, it broke in two and shattered into chips in three areas. They took the slab for examination for repair. A week has transpired and we've received no response on prognosis so will update review upon resolution.

I contacted the provider about moving a 400lbs safe for me down some stairs. They immediately contacted me and shared while they thought they might be able to do the job. They highly recommended Manny's Piano movers as they specialize in that type of moving. In this day and age to turn a customer down and recommend another company that better fit the customers needs is something that I appreciate. They were a joy to work with and I trust their integrity and will call them when i have a more traditional move. Their recommendation of Manny's was right on. A-1 was fantastic! I would definitely use them again. They responded promptly to phone calls, came over and made an estimate that was spot on. They provided unlimited packing supplies which really helped us to pack things more safely and efficiently. The moving crew was prompt, professional, and hard-working. Nothing was damaged in the move. They very helpfully moved the furniture exactly into the position i wanted it. They were unable to move our piano from its third floor location but recommended a vendor who did an excellent job. A-1 lives up to its name!

The crew of 4 was very efficient and worked extremely h****** a hot, humid day. They were very careful. They frequently asked if there was anything else they could do as they delivered furniture to the proper room. We would recommend them.

They were very flexible with our schedule. We kept changing the dates. They were on time, professional, kind, and careful with our belongings. They were really responsible. I cannot say enough good things about them.

I prearranged for a 2 man crew to come out. About an hour before they were scheduled to arrive, they said they were wrapping up a job and they said they had a 3 man crew. It would be a little bit more but it would be much faster with 3 people. I'm sure that is probably a tactic they use to get people to pay more. I said yes but thinking back I didn't appreciate it because I ended up paying more and the third guy was a fluff. It was $170 an hour.

A-1 Moving completely packed us up (super efficient and diligent on wrapping every little thing in paper) one day. On the next day, they picked everything up and moved us from a one-bedroom apartment to a house that was less than 3 miles away. Everything went really well. Extremely nice company, people, and customer service was awesome. When you think of good experiences and good companies, they are very hard to come by but A-1 Moving is just great! I would highly recommend them to anyone. Moving is a HUGE hassle, headache, and this is part of the process that worked out great so thanks!

A-1 communicated with my son; were responsive to his urgency to get moved in his Apt. with short notice. They quoted a price and stuck to it; no hidden charges. He was very satisfied and it was stress free.

At first I thought it went well. The price quoted to me was reasonable and I was offered an additional "full replacement" insurance policy for $125 which I paid just in case there was any damage. The guys who picked up our furniture and boxes were prompt, professional and extremely careful. They did an excellent job. Three months later when they returned my furniture, they were prompt and professional again but as they brought things in, I noticed damage on most of the pieces - deep gouges, scratches, pieces of wood trim missing, legs missing or torn off, all of which was not there when they took it. I pointed it out and was told it did look bad, had probably happened in the warehouse and that Brian would call me. They asked me to sign the form saying it was delivered in good condition, which I did not do. Several days went by without a call so I called A-1. They said someone would come out to assess the damage for "repair". The repair guy called, made an appt and came out as planned. He agreed it was quite a bit of damage and obviously fresh. He also said most of the pieces would have to be taken back to his shop for repairs as the damage was too extensive to do on site. He said he would get his quote to A-1 and someone would call me. That was Tuesday July 30. On Aug 7th I was told the insurance company would not pay for "full replacement" and they would only pay for repairs but the repair guy, who was absolutely the best, was really really busy and it could take up to 6 months for all the repairs to get done. I asked that the things that could be repaired easily and quickly be repaired and the other pieces be replaced. I was told there would be no replacement unless it was depreciated and they weren't going to pay out "that kind of money". I can't unpack and move back into our remodeled home if most of the furniture now needs to be removed to be repaired - but with no timeline whatsoever because the one and only good repair guy is "busy". So - I'm in limbo with very damaged furniture, no commitment times for repair and I feel like the $125 additional "insurance policy for full replacement coverage" was a scam. I believe I paid the extra $125 just so A-1 could have a little extra boost to their reasonable moving prices. It's now a month since they returned my damaged furniture and their delay is being blamed on "just receiving this on my desk" by one of the owners. A-1 has known about the damage since the day my furniture was returned on July 10th.

The movers arrived on time. They made sure everything was packed properly before moving it out to ensure nothing was damaged during the move. They did a great job getting everything moved in a timely fashion. They were professional but very friendly and courteous. My mother's furniture, etc. was moved into the house with no issues. I already recommended them to a friend who plans to move within the next 6 months to a year. They were awesome.

The two movers came on time and worked fast and well. We recommend them to friends.

They were prompt, courteous, and professional. Because I was not moving at the end/beginning of the month, they were flexible and readily available. The office scheduler was efficient and accurate. The movers themselves were pleasant and swift. The move took only a few hours, and I was completely satisfied and would use them again.

The team was great to work with. We had a last minute change in timing and they willing worked it out with us.

The loaders arrived on time and got right to work. They worked steadily until the job was done and didn't bang up my furniture or my house. They worked so quickly, they were done with my 4 bedroom house in just 90 minutes. I was worried they wouldn't be able to get everything into the relocation containers, but they made it all fit into three containers, so I was able to send the fourth one back empty (and didn't have to pay for it). I haven't received the containers yet (moving 2 states away), but everything seemed to be packed tightly so it wouldn't shift in transit. The convenience was totally worth the cost.

A-1 did a great job. I got a quick quote over the phone, and the quote and time estimate was very close to what it took. The 2-man crew arrived right at 8am as scheduled. We took a quick tour of the house so they knew what they were dealing with and they quickly went to work. Our small children were around in teh beginning to watch and they were great answering all the kids questions and letting them look in the truck. On the delivery side they were very careful with everything, they reassembled beds, and were always very professional and nice. John and Pete were fantastic.

I haven't used them yet moving date has changed.
