Very good from start to finish. This was the only place we called that actually did an estimate on-site rather than over the phone, which increased my confidence. Very nice "sales" person who took the opportunity to recommend some worthy charities, should I find anything that we no longer needed as we packed up. I had asked them to show up a bit later than they wanted based on our schedule and they agreed, but they showed up a bit early anyway (but were willing to wait in the truck if I had asked them to.) Very thorough and professional, and were great about working around our feverish last-minute packing (they're probably used to that)! The bill was nearly exactly on the estimate, and the number of boxes he suggested was PERFECT! They also have a program where they "buy-back" the used boxes, essentially making that service free, and they let us return them in three batches over several weeks as we unpacked. Highly recommended.

Excellent service! Mike went out of his way to make sure that a difficult piece was moved in a creative way. Both movers were efficient, very skilled (especially Mike). I felt very comfortable once I realized how careful they were. I had new floors redone in the new house. They had planned to put down carpet if needed but it was not necessary. I would highly recommend these people at a very reasonable price.

In both instances the two movers arrived as scheduled and worked quickly. When moving the furniture to the storage unit they wrapped all the upholstered furniture in plastic film. They were careful when moving the furniture and boxes, and packed the storage unit so everything fit in it. The prices for both moves were comparable, given the difference in distance between the starting and ending locations.

The movers arrived on time and got to work immediately. They were extremely polite and courteous. They worked quickly and carefully, and we were moved in about 3-1/2 hours. We expected it would take the better part of a day. I should also mention that they carried several very heavy pieces of furniture up 3 flights of stairs because they had to enter from the garage level of our two story townhome. We would highly recommend them to others and would use them again.

Jay and Phil were phenomenal! They worked straight through for 8 hours. We really appreciate how hard they worked to get us settled in our new place. They were very careful with our possessions and we didn't have anything scratched or broken. They did a terrific job and were very polite and courteous.

I was totally pleased with the service. The person doing scheduling as well as the workers were polite, helpful, and easy to work with.

They came on time. Did the work quickly, and were very professional.

The packers packed things very carefully (nothing broke!), but were not thorough in emptying the house. My husband had to go back and spend three hours to empty closets and drawers that were missed. We were reimbursed when we called to complain, but it added to the stress of moving. Also, get the more expensive insurance option: we had them break the vacuum by yanking the hose out of the wrong place, lose fittings for the crib, and the reimbursement for that with the basic insurance was only $25. Ridiculous. Plus, our 16 month old is sleeping on the floor on his mattress in the meantime, you can about imagine how that's going with a toddler. Move your own plants - one got just ruined, and eight were left behind to fry in the sun. The movers were VERY hard working, polite and prompt. But not a super-fantastic experience - we've been moved twice before, so we've got something to compare to.

Men were busy packing and unpacking for several hours. In the morning, there was a few minutes of disagreement between myself and my ex-husband, both movers continued for 4 hours. At the end of 4 hours, they announced that they were done. I was not offered a walk thru and paid and tipped them. Later that evening when I couldn't find some kitchenware, I went out to discover many boxes in the garage should have been moved into the home. I called and explained that the job had not been completed and was told by Fred that because of a "domestic situation", the movers felt uncomfortable and they just wanted to leave. I haven't a clue as to what he was referring to and realized that after 4 hours of working in 98' temps, they had it and decided to call it a day. What bothers me is that Fred said he backed his men and would have done the same thing. This company obviously thinks more of its employees than its customers. I was dumbfounded when told why they left!

The guys who performed out move were efficient and professional. Most impressive: They didn't ding a single wall, even as they ascended steps around corners. And even though they're paid by the hour, they worked quickly on both the front and back ends of the move. You could tell they care about what they do and wanted to do a top-notch job. And that's what they did. We'd hire again.

Our moving facilitator Gentle Transitions hired A-1 Moving to move my mother's furniture & household items to an assisted living apartment. We had two movers who were extremely courteous, worked hard and efficiently, and were very personable. They worked quickly and their efficiency saved us money. Very reasonable pricing.

They were on-time, friendly, and efficient and they did a great job. I also thought their pricing was very reasonable. This is the second time I have used A-1/Sorenson's and I would highly recommend them to others!

They were very good, very careful with my wooden floors. I had a work desk and it wouldn't fit in the door, it took them an hour, but they actually took the desk apart and it was incredible. They were very persistent in doing it. Also, it took five people to bring a lateral 5 drawer file cabinet down the stairs, and they got it in a small office without hitting the doors or walls. The cost was per hour for three men. There was one gentleman who was exceptional, Charles Raisch, and he went above and beyond. He delegated and made sure everything was done and made sure furniture didn't hit the walls. I wish they had more people like him.

The 2-person crew did a phenomenal job. They worked very diligently & got the job done quickly while being very careful with the furniture. Very impressive.

It took them less than the 2 hour minimum, but it was well worth it for the TV alone. It's very, very heavy. They were right on time, friendly and professional.

It was excellent work, friendly, and professional. They were easy to schedule, prompt, fast, exquisitely polite and also careful with my fragile antique furniture. No better movers exist. I highly recommend Sorenson's. Don't move your home without them.

I had used Apartment Movers several years ago and was equally pleased with them this time. The crew was very polite, personable, and careful with our belongings, yet they completed the moving efficiently. They were able to give me an exact price, and I appreciated that, plus I bought boxes from the ahead of time which you can return for the full price you paid for them. I'm sure they're are less expensive movers, however I feel for the careful and quick work they do it is worth the price. They worked from around 8 am until at least 2 or 3pm. I would definately hire them again without hesitation.

Hiring them was easy. Jim & Aaron were great!I couldn't believe how much they could carry on their backs. They were professional, friendly, and very hard workers. We had a lot more "stuff" to move than we realized so the price went up from the original estimate, but I underestimated how much we had for boxes and miscellaneous stuff. I would use them again without question.

It was a bad experience. However, when they moved things out of my old apartment it was from 9:15 am to 12:00 noon. They did take an extra half hour for lunch and I was compensated for that. But the move into my new apartment was from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. My major complaint is I was quoted that the move would cost $400-$600 and it cost $1145.75. I talked to them several times about the huge cost, but they were not willing to compromise on the total cost. They did have to come back out and move my computer desk to the bedroom which is where I wanted it. The first movers said they couldn't get it into my bedroom, but the second two men got it moved, but it took them two weeks to come out and do it. The computer desk was the only thing they needed to move. I also decided to go with them because their ad in the yellow pages said they had gotten the service award from Angie's List for 2001, 2002, and 2003, so I thought they would be trustworthy. My experience with them proved not to be.

THE MOVERS WERE SPEEDY, ORGANIZED AND CAREFUL WITH MY BELONGINGS. THEY WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE WORK AT THE LOW END OF THE ESTIMATE.

WE HAD A CHALLENGING MOVING JOB, COMPLETE WITH MANY ODDBALL AND PRECIOUS ITEMS. THE CREW FOR THE THREE DAY JOB WAS MOSTLY PHENOMENAL. THE CREW LEADER WAS COURTEOUS, HARD WORKING, AND CLEARLY CARED ABOUT THE ENTIRE JOB. THE MOVERS ON THE LAST TWO DAYS WERE THE SAME WAY, SHOWING ENTHUSIASM AND WORKING INCREDIBLY HARD ON SOME VERY HOT DAYS IN JULY. THE RESPECT AND CARE THEY SHOWED EACH OTHER, DOING THE JOB AS A TEAM, WAS UNUSUAL FOR THE MOVING INDUSTRY. OUR ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT ONE OF THE PACKERS APPARENTLY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO PACK THINGS SO THAT WE COULD EASILY UNPACK THEM. DRAWERS OF THINGS WERE JUMBLED TOGETHER AND ITEMS WERE MISSED DURING THE INITIAL PACKING. HOWEVER, A FOLLOW-UP PHONE CALL REVEALED THE FIRM INTENDS TO CREATE A SPECIALIZED PACKING CREW AND TRAIN THEM AND SEEMED RECEPTIVE TO THE SUGGESTIONS I PROVIDED. ALL OTHER QUOTES I RECEIVED FOR THIS JOB WERE SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN WHAT WE HAD TO PAY A-1.

THEY WERE HARD WORKERS AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. MY ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THEY PUT SOME THINGS IN THE WRONG PLACES AND THEY DID NOT REASSEMBLE ONE OF THE DRESSERS.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH MY EXPERIENCE WITH SORENSEN'S. THE CREW WAS PROFESSIONAL AND CAREFUL WITH OUR FURNITURE. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND MOVED VERY QUICKLY. THE FINAL PRICE CAME IN EXACTLY WHAT THEY ESTIMATED FOR.

MY WIFE TELLS ME THAT THIS IS THE MOST POSITIVE PROFESSIONAL MOVING EXPERIENCE SHE'S HAD. I HAVE TO AGREE WITH HER. THE PRICING WAS EXTREMELY REASONABLE AND STRAIGHTFORWARD AND THE CREW WHO PERFORMED THE MOVE WAS SUPERBLY PROFESSIONAL. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, DID EVERYTHING THEY PROMISED TO DO AND EVEN FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO HELP MY WIFE PACIFY OUR DOG WHO DOESN'T LIKE STRANGERS TOO MUCH. GREAT COMPANY, GREAT EXPERIENCE. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

I HAVE NEVER USED THIS KIND OF SERVICE BEFORE BECAUSE WE'VE ALWAYS JUST MOVED OURSELVES. I WASN'T SURE WHAT TO EXPECT. THE GUYS WHO CAME TO MOVE US WERE EFFICIENT AND COMMUNICATIVE. THEY WERE CLEARLY EXPERIENCED AND KNEW THE ROPES OF MOVING HEAVY FURNITURE. THEY GOT TO THE NEW HOUSE WITH THE FURNITURE BEFORE I DID, AND I ONLY STOPPED FOR 1 EGG MCMUFFIN! THEY TOTAL BILL CAME IN ON THE LOW END OF THE BID, WHICH PLEASED ME.
