Three crew came to the house on the rainiest day of the year and worked like mad to get us out of the one house and into the new house before the worst of the rain began. They arrived on time (to the minute), were very polite, professional and careful with our belongings. All three of the gentlemen were very focused on the task at hand and did not so much as stop to take a break as far as I could tell.

The cost is for packing and transporting. The managers and the driver were helpful and professional. Their estimate for time was right on target, and they were always available for any questions I needed answered.

Crew was punctual and did good work. The job came in priced higher than what we expected, but the crew worked hard. Had some minor damage to a few items ($50) but overall, we were very satisfied.

They did a very good job. The final price came in lower than the estimate.

Overall the move itself went very well but they put a relatively small (1.5" x 1.5") and approx. 1" deep hole in one wall. It was 5-6' up and really needed to be patched. Both the movers were aware of it and said that they would fix it. We waited a week and never heard from them and as we were closing soon, had to fix it ourselves.

The movers were on time (10 minutes early). They started at 8:00am, and left my new townhouse with all the furniture in it at 10:15am. I have never had a move go that fast. My last move was from PA to MN, and the company I hired sent three people who spent 6 hours arguing with each other in my presence. Sorenson's employees were hard working, personable, and above all professional. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat!

Outstanding experience that greatly exceeded my expectations! Don't let the name fool you. I was worried that the company might be run by some college kids, but these guys are full-service professional movers. I used the terrific cost calculator on their website to estimate the price. (Bonus: I intentionally overestimated a little; my final cost was $250 less than the estimate.) The three movers arrived slightly before 8 a.m. and were fully caffeinated and raring to go. Don't be put off (as I was) by workers with long hair. This crew was clearly trained in both moving techniques and customer service. They were uniformly outgoing, upbeat, tremendously polite, responsive to every request (covered the carpet with plastic, stacked boxes neatly in the garage, etc.), respectful of both homes and the property they were moving, and amazingly fast! Mine was not a complicated move (I don't have a ton of stuff), but I was completely "wowed" by these guys. No damages; best moving experience ever.

Superb job packing. Fast efficient movers. On time. Actual cost less than estimated. Boxes provided but were not free per the Angie's List coupon. Still waiting for refund of boxes deposit after three follow up phone calls.

The personnel were very efficient, professional, and moved my things without damage. I had two bids online from other companies. Their final price was almost the same as what was quoted online, so I was very happy about that. I only have one small complaint, and that is that the lead person on the job (Kyle, I believe) was very much in a hurry. I know that he was concerned they might have another job after mine, but I did feel pressured to make decisions in a hurry. The second guy was just great. Thoughtful and very helpful.

Scheduling was easy and the move could not have gone any better. Tim and Jessie were on time, and they were extremely efficient while remaining polite and courteous. They were able to move things that we did not plan on having them move, including our belongings from our garage, which were not prepared for the move. The first night in our new home, we could not find the control for our Select Comfort bed. We called the company the next morning and asked if they could possibly remember where it was placed. Fred called us back 10 minutes later with the exact location of the remote. Excellent experience and I would highly recommend this company.

They did an excellent job for us and the whole move went like clock work thanks to them. They packed up everything very well and in a logical sequence that made unpacking easier. Not one item was damaged in the move. I would highly recommend this company to others who are facing a move.

At the time, I thought the price was very expensive, but I called another company that I have used before and they said they would have charged the same thing. I am getting ready to make a big move and I would definitely use them again if they do things like that.

I would highly recommend A-1 to any friends or family for a move. They were professional and on top of all of the details from calling 45 minutes before they arrived in order to coordinate their arrival time to having all of the right equipment to make the move as smooth as possible. Their staff were friendly, very hardworking, and fast which help cut down on the moving expense which was very appreciated. I've moved many times with various movers and A-1 far exceeded any expectations I had. Thanks A-1!

Move 1 went like a typical move. Individuals were professional, polite, and efficient. I have used them in the past, and this move was no different. Move 2 was not a typical experience. The movers were pleasant. However, they hit my china cabinet on the drywall and knocked a huge piece off the wall. We were closing on the house a few days later, so this was stressful. The biggest issue was they quick packed our garage. The movers took a bucket of frozen minnows/water and placed it sideways on top of the rest of a box of stuff. Therefore, they got frozen minnow water all over an entire box of stuff. (My husband left the bucket in the garage and didn't notice the movers had picked it up). It wasn't noticed until we saw water in the box and on the floor. When I saw the movers had made this mistake, I made them stop, and we made a new quick box and started to empty, dry, and repack the quick box. It was very surprising because this company is very good. Rating is on move 2.

When I called to schedule the move, I spoke with Fred. He was friendly, accommodating and very clear about their rates and scheduling. The two movers were on time early, in fact, polite, efficient and extremely careful. We have a very old house full of tight corners, narrow doors and furniture. They never so much as touched a door-jamb. They leveled the fridge for us and made sure that it was positioned exactly as we wanted. I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, will be using them to move furniture from the east coast to Minneapolis.

Very well, only a few minor dings on one piece of heavy furniture. Very accommodating to my wife needs who broke her foot three days before the move and had limited mobility.

Excellent move, the movers showed up right on time, had three men to do the work, took great care with everything. Drove to Maple Grove and came in and laid cloth strips and plastic wrap in the hallways and stairs to prevent marks on the carpet. The whole move went very well, nothing broken or damaged. The movers always asked where I wanted all of the furniture and boxes and they were very professional and thorough.

Could not have gone any better. We got a bad estimate from Penske who said a 16 foot truck would be plenty of room. Not even close. These guys managed to pack in what was meant for a 20 foot truck into a 16-foot space, saving me hundreds of dollars in shipping costs. They did such an amazing job that the movers on the other end who unloaded the truck in Brooklyn could not stop commenting on the spectacular packing job the loaders did.

They were there at the time requested. They were all pleasant to work with, even moving some furniture and equipment again. The price quoted was the price paid. I paid $75 more for some insurance. The work was done quicker than we had expected. Seeing as how we were paying by the hour, that was a pleasant surprise. My daughter had a move by another company that cost them 30-40% more than they were quoted and all the movers stopped working for 30 minutes while they ARGUED over the price difference. Thank heaven for Angie's List and the RIGHT company to move our belongings.
