The experience was great! They quickly provided an estimate, provided boxes for the move, called to confirm prior to the move, showed up on time and did an excellent job moving our stuff. The 3 movers were very professional and took great care of our items. I would definately recommend them to others needing movers.

As promised 3 men and a truck showed up to load furniture and household goods. Most of the items had been packed by us. They worked efficiently, shrink-wrapped a few pieces of furniture at our request and were very careful moving larger items. As requested they stopped to unload part of the shipment at a storage facility and then continued to unload the rest at our new apartment. They were very willing to move furniture around at the new location and even assembled a large dining room table. A-1 was not the cheapest quote we received, but it was competitive and we were very happy from start to finish.

They did a great job. The two men who did the moving worked extremely hard and were very careful with all of my belongings. They were amazing how they got large heavy furniture around corners and up and down steps without damage. They were professional and very nice. I would hire them again and recommend them to my friends.

I knew about a month or so out that we would be closing on our house and moving. I completed the online quote and secured our moving date. Once we had a better idea of how many boxes we would have, I resubmitted the online quote, and verified that our date was still available. This process was very easy and I felt at ease. The morning of the move, John and Pete showed up at 8 am, and quickly assessed our boxes and furniture (which we had packed when they came). They called for a 2nd truck and one more mover, Ryan, who showed up at 9 am. The three of them had everything loaded on the trucks by 12:30 pm (including taking items that we had planned moving by car if there was only one truck). They had our stuff unloaded into the house by 3:25 pm (we helped unload boxes, too). All three of them were extremely personable, upbeat, and very capable at moving items. They saved us $200 on the original quote, and did so with smiles on their faces. We were thrilled with their work, and would not hesitate to use them again.

WOW... these guys were great. The price was less than all the other quotes I got, they were very accommodating with loading my stuff one morning and delivering the next morning. They were very quick and careful. I've used movers a number of times over the years and these guys were the BEST. I'd use A-1 again and have no problem recommending them to anyone needing help moving.

They work was exceptional and the bid they provided was right on. Fred Nickles is the man we dealt with and he is extremely professional. They build wood crates for our art work to ensure they wouldn't get damaged. They took exceptional care of our things. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, especially those with art work. The husband and wife team Jerry and Julie, who brought our things down, did a great job and were exceptional as well.

The whole process went as well as we could have expected.

A-1 did a great job. The estimate was very good (and actually, the movers came in under the estimate, since we were 100% packed when they showed up and there was no wasted time.) The person doing the estimate was on time, thorough, and gave us a very good estimate of the number/size boxes we needed. The movers were courteous and respectful of our belongings. They didn't waste any time at any point, lingering around. They got us out of one house and into another very efficiently. The only issue - and this is VERY minor - is that the boxes aren't technically free - you pay a deposit which you get back 100% if you return them, which was fine but just not quite what I was expecting. On the up side, the boxes are of very high quality and they will deliver and pick them up (for a $25 fee) which is great given our vehicle size and work day schedule. We highly recommend A-1 movers! If we were moving again, I'd use them. But at this point, I don't think I'll ever move again! :)

3-man crew was very fast and very good. Arrived on time. No BS. They moved everything and I mean everything. I didn't even have to go back for the food in the refrigerator. I would use this company again and recommend them.

The two men that came were extremely professional and helpful. The move did go a bit slower than I expected but they worked hard, taking extra time to pad everything. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone! I even called them that morning, they moved me 5 hours later!

We called three places to get estimates, and A-1 had the best rate for us. Since we were moving to a temporary place, we used their storage as well. The movers were on time, were very quick, complete and professional. When we finally bought our new house they returned with the same personal and got all our belongings back in place. They were great!

I on Monday and scheduled service for Friday of the same week. The person who took my call was very courteous. The day before the move date I received reminder phone calls at both numbers I had listed. The crew of two arrived on the dot. I had them move one piece of furniture to the nursing home where my mother had moved which was connected to her previous residence, and they moved some large and smaller pieces to my home about an hour away. They also moved current furniture around to accommodate the new pieces. They were very courteous and efficient. I had used them previously for a move and would definitely use them for a third time.

Great! The moving team was at our house by 8:00 am and they were done by 2:30 pm. They were very quick and didn't break anything. The team was very professional and nice. We did have a door on an chest that didn't close right after it was moved, but I called Fred and he sent out someone who adjusted the door and all was fixed. The move went very well so we used them to move my husband's office as well.

Their service was excellent. I would not hesitate to use them; very friendly, efficient, and superb service. The price was by the hour which I thought was reasonable.

They couldn't have done a better job. I would give them A++.

These guys ROCK! The best move I've ever done and I've moved quite twice before in the last five years and ten times in Chicago over the past 20 years. They were on time, professional, pleasant and very quick. They took direction well and were understanding when I changed my mind where a couple of items went in the new place. And the cost came in spot on per the estimate. They're quite simply the best.

A-1 was professional from start to finish. Their estimate was by far the most reasonable and the final cost was even less. They offered good advice ahead of time for a move from a house to an apartment; they arrived right on time; and they worked very hard until the job was completely done. I was totally impressed and very grateful for their good work.

In the days immediately following our initial closing date, that date moved *several* times. I called A-1 several times for scheduling, rescheduling, then rescheduling again. They were patient with me and were able to make the last minute change from the movers coming Monday at 9am to Tuesday between 12-4. When the movers arrived, they worked hard and were very fast, which I appreciated.

The bid was reasonable. The service was excellent. They were prompt, courteous, and carefull.

It went well. We had to postpone several times due to difficulties with the closing date, and they were understanding and very flexible. They were punctual, professional and nothing appears to be broken or damaged, including walls and floors.

The whole experience with A-1 Sorensens was excellent. Out of the 3 movers I called for a quote, they were the only ones to come to my home to give me as accurate a quote as possible. The movers showed up early and were efficient, organized and friendly. My move was completed in less time than estimated and it was incredibly smooth. I would definitely recommend these guys. For job reasons I have moved 8 times in 8 years within and outside of the US--this was the easiest experience with movers to date.

Called and got Joel who set it up for immediate service...came within 1/2 hour...crews were in between morning and pm jobs. Carlos and partner came...very polite and personable (sort of rare in this sort of job at least with my experience)...took care of everything in a careful manner.

The owner called and rescheduled his initial walkthrough due to unforeseen circumstances. He was able to do it later in the day, though. He quietly walked through the entire house with me, and we sat down with my online estimate and his actual bid. I had underestimated the amount of stuff we had to move, although I was surprised at the final price I trusted that he had been in the business long enough to supply a reasonable bid. He guaranteed the final bill would not exceed the estimate if I had everything packed when the movers arrived. He assure me that the guys were experienced and could easily disassemble and reassemble the furniture. I did ask him directly about how much people typically tip the guys. He assured me that he paid them well, and they were appreciative of any tip. The day of the move they arrived on time. The first item to be tackled was a set of 3 attached theater seats. It set an odd tone early on when one of the guys started yanking and prying to get the seats apart. I could tell he was very frustrated and impatient. I heard the wood crack and was immediately concerned about the rest of my stuff. I felt really uncomfortable, and I kept telling myself that I should have made my husband take our furniture apart. The owner told me these guys were experienced! Finally, one of the other guys took over and figured out how to disassemble it. Then, they were off and running. These guys worked very hard. I had packed all the boxes light enough for me to lift. They were running out of the house with 3-4 boxes stacked up their backs. I was concerned at first, because I thought they might drop something especially when I saw my husband's $3000 sewing machine stacked on the top of 3 boxes! However, everything seems to have survived the trip. As the morning wore on there was some moaning and groaning. I did not expect this. I paid a lot of money for these guys to move my stuff. I should not have to apologize for the amount of stuff they were HIRED to move. I felt self conscious. Then, they started telling me they couldn't move this or that and just left random stuff in the rooms. They left quite a bit of stuff for me to move on my own later. They would not move my garden pots, because they had dirt in them. I would have dumped the dirt had I known this. My sister and I returned later to pickup the "left" items. It took 3 truckloads! After they were done loading the trucks, they took a lunch break and met me at the new house about an hour later. That went pretty smoothly. Although towards the end of the day some of the guys were groaning about how their jobs just weren't worth the money they were being paid. I felt like I had to give them a bigger tip than I had originally planned. I was upset that the owner was not paying them "well" as he indicated to me. These guys worked very, very hard, but I was disappointed. For $2000 + it should have been delivered with no complaint.

The experience was great! We were moving from two separate households into a third. We used two 26' trucks and 4 guys and everything went seamlessly. The movers were super courteous, unbelievably fast and everything was moved without incident. We were totally impressed!

Two men arrived on time. Completed the move out within 45 minutes. One level no stairs or elevators. The move distance was 10 miles. The new facility has a controlled entry and consisted of a lengthy lower level move, an elevator up four floors and another lengthy trip to the destination. Everything arrived undamiged including three mirrors, a glassed in china cabnet, over twenty paintings and potraits and and six separate glass coverings for coffee, end tables and bedroom chests. The men were very friendly and pleasant to work with.
