The company telephoned the day before the move to confirm their arrival the following day. They provided me with a window of time between 8AM and 8:30AM and arrived at 8:20AM. They were unable to find a convenient parking spot for their truck given that we lived on a congested street but they were gracious about it and still worked quickly despite the truck being parked a slight distance away. It was a very hot day in July but all three movers still worked efficiently and quickly. This was the smoothest move I've ever done. There were no hidden fees or last minute surprises. I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

On one day notice on a holiday weekend they took this job,were on time, helpful, friendly, and did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

They were on time, polite and professional. We had a 4 bedroom house and moved all of our belongings to a 5 bedroom house that my son's family was moving into also. They put everything just where we wanted it and nothing was damaged. We were very happy with how the move went.

They sent out two young men to move some items within my home as they were too heavy for us to lift. Overall, the job that they did went very well. I did not have any problems. They were a little late because they had gotten hung up on another job which I can understand. I know they couldn’t help it. The price was fair for what they did for us. They came in and jumped right on the job. They were organized. I had a list of things I needed done. We went over the list. They organized the work by whichever floor we were going to be on and therefore got it done pretty quickly. I would use them again in the future.

Because of service issues with Quality Transfer, we desperately called A-1 Moving on a Friday morning asking for an estimate that day. Not only did they do the estimate that day, they were able to handle our move the following Monday. They did an amazing job packing our goods and moving furniture, boxes and other items to two different locations. They were on-time, courteous and accommodating. Also, their estimate was very accurate and there were no surprises. We are using them for a future move and would highly recommend their services.

A team of 3 packers, headed by Kyle, arrived promptly on Thursday morning and completely packed our 2400 square foot home. They had a great attitude and kept checking with me all day to make sure they weren't missing anything. Very efficient and great to work with! Then, on Friday, Kyle, Tim and Rodger arrived to do the actual move to our second home. They were incredible! First, we walked through the house to determine the order things would be placed into the truck. Then, they just boogied and got the job done. I think we left to go to our second home by 11 or 11:30 after doing a thorough check together to make sure we had everything. One hour drive to our second house where they unloaded the truck. They put everything exactly where we wanted it and even rearranged a few things so we would have better access. Then, get this, there were a few things we really wanted to find and they remembered where they were packed and found them for us. This was kind of a unique move because we moved into our summer home which we had already been living in part-time. We essentially combined two households so many things that they moved were put into storage in the garage. The incredible part is that they literally RAN (not walked) into the truck -- these guys were so obviously very experienced at doing a move expediently yet gently. I think they were done by about 2:30 that afternoon. Loved working with them and would definitely do it again. By the way, this was our second move with A-1 Sorenson. We had a great experience with them several years ago when they helped move my parents from this summer house to Rochester, MN. Awesome -- thanks so much!

We checked out several moving companies and chose them. They seemed very professional and delivered fully on that.

They were prompt and so careful with my stuff. They did an excellent job. They came the day before and packed some stuff. They came on time on the day we moved. They worked like busy beavers. They did a really good job. I always looked up the labels on the boxes and it's probably my fault for not labeling them very well.

They were excellent. It was raining during the whole move but nothing got wet. They were very very good and I was extremely pleased. It was a wonderful experience. I have used them one other time to move since then and got the same men like I had asked for. They did an excellent job the second time around as well. They actually act like they enjoy what they're doing. They were all very pleasant and made me feel comfortable. They ordered pizza to eat for lunch and even offered me some of the food they ordered.

I called on a Monday to get movers for the following Monday and was very pleased that the short notice was not a problem. I was told they had a two-hour minimum and that the job should fit into that two-hour window. I received a call a couple of days before the move confirming the date and time of the move. On the day of the move, the two movers were there right on time. They were very professional, pleasant and efficient. . It was pointed out that the back on an IKEA dresser needed some repair/reinforcement in order to move it. They had what I needed to make the temporary repairs needed to move the dresser. Everything was moved without any damage and within the two hours I would definitely use them again and, in fact, recommended them to a friend who is moving later this month.

When I called the number, the man who answered was friendly, helpful, and very professional. We scheduled the move and I explained that we planned on moving the same day that we closed on the house. They called the day before the move to confirm once more that we were still on to move. On the day of the move, three men showed up and they were punctual and professional. The lead was extremely friendly and explained the process. He explained to me how the price was figured and then proceeded to work quickly! They were careful and I'm so glad we hired them!! I can't believe the customer service with these guys!!

Two-man crew arrived on time, worked smartly and diligently, and were careful with furniture. This company was much more expensive than others I quoted, but they did an excellent job.

The move was very quick. They had equipment to help them lift and move furniture and boxes more quickly and efficiently. They packed the boxes and furniture into their 26 foot truck. They were fast and very good at the move. The furniture from the second home included a very heavy marble table and base. They moved that very quickly and safely without any damage. Antonio and Rodney did an excellent job with the move. I would gladly use them for any future moves. They made the whole process nearly effortless for me and my family.

We actually just moved 6 months ago. It was one day but 2 different trips. They were very careful with our stuff and very fast. I would recommend them; they are very quick and were inline with the prices that we got from other companies.

Called back within 24 hours. One of two movers who provided estimates, A1 gave us confidence from the start. Ours was a last minute request - less than one week from quote to move. They scheduled at our convenience, arrived 10 minutes early, and completed the job quickly. Despite temperatures below zero, they worked professionally, kept both houses clean, and did not touch a wall. From beginning to end they did an outstanding job.

They were very punctual and they worked fast. They were very agreeable to whatever we wanted. They were generally very professional. I would recommend them without any hesitation at all as they were terrific. We felt that the price was very good. Everything was handled carefully and wrapped in blankets. They respectfully asked if they had any questions and also made some suggestions and gave us choices.

A-1 was able to send over Jay and Darrell on short notice, especially since I didn't need a truck for the move. They arrived exactly on time (8 am) and got to work almost immediately. They were flexible (since it wasn't a straightforward move, exactly) and efficient. And willing to do whatever I needed to get things to where they needed to go. A-1 had previously helped with my dad's move to an apartment, and that experience was very positive as well. If and when I need moving services again, they will definitely be my first call.

The move when very well. I thought it would be very stressful but the guys who did the move were very professional.

I talked to him over the phone, but didn?t get a real bid. We left it that it would cost about $250 - $350, but it ended up costing close to $700. I had a pristine, white mattress and box spring that I asked them to wrap and they said they would. However when I saw it in the truck it wasn?t wrapped and it was dirty on two of the corners when it arrived at my new home. At the new location I mentioned to one of the crew that Id put a bunch of shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe box. He claimed he looked and there were none. After the dust settled I was missing the shoes when all clothes were unpacked. Thinking I may have forgotten or made an error as to where they were packed I waited -hoping they may turn up after some time. Its been close to a year now and those shoes have never shown up. I can only imagine that they were found at some point by the moving company and no effort was made to return them.

Their estimates are dead on and they are always on time. Their workers just continue to work and never take a break. They started on time and did the work and asked if there was anything else they could do. I have recommended them to numerous people.

One truck-3 guys-2 trips to do it in (we knew this going in). We have a tight stairwell out of the house we were moving out of-these guys did not touch a single wall moving our large screen tv and exercise equipment. They even managed to move a couch out of the basement without touching a wall (I watched them do all of this). They set up our furniture in our new house just like we wanted. I was so impressed by their professionalism, their speed, their no-nonsense get 'er done work ethic. They moved us faster than their estimate too. I'm still amazed at what they accomplished in such little time. We've moved our furniture ourselves several times before-and let me be clear here-NEVER AGAIN. If we move again, A-1 will be doing it.

I chose A-1 because they where one of the few companies that had an A rating but no horror stories. I'm so happy I chose them. The process started with an online estimate that was very close to the final price. A day later, a representative called me to confirm the estimate and schedule the move. The day before the move, a representative called to confirm the time and addresses. Great communication! The movers arrived promptly at 8:00 am at the first location to pick up a couch. When we got to the apartment, they inventoried my belongings and lowered the estimate by $6.00. I like the pricing structure this company uses. They estimate at the beginning of the move and that's what you pay - regardless of the time it takes. The guys where the happiest movers I've ever met. They where professional and took great care of my belongings. The entire move took about 4 hours. Moving in had been a 7 hour nightmare so I was very pleased. This was the best moving experience I've ever had.

The phone conversation to set up this service was very positive. The man on the phone was polite and eager to help. Two movers came. The overall subjective feeling I had was they were in a great big hurry. I called attention to an antique table that was extremely old and had extremely thin glass on three sides of it, and to carry it slowly and carefully. Instead only one man carried it down two flights of stairs, moving fast, and allowing this fragile table to bounce back against his legs with each step he took. Whenever a sofa is being moved, professional movers always measure the doorway to make sure it fits. They didn't do this. So when the office sofa came down two flights of stairs, they couldn't get it through the door of the "new" office room. So I was left with a brown sofa in the middle of the basement. We have an antique two-sided desk. I had carefully labeled each side of the desk with an "A" and a "B" and labeled all the drawers; i.e. A- TL - #1, which is Side A, Top Left drawer, Drawer1. When they moved the desk to the basement, two drawers would not go all the way in. I asked them if they were sure they had match up the drawers to the correct side and place. "Yes," they replied. But they had been in such a hurry, they had NOT matched up the right drawers to the right sides. The value of this two sided desk is its unique locking system. If certain drawers are closed, then drawers where more valuable things are being stored won't open because the random locking drawers are closed. In order to get the drawers to close, the movers removed the iron rods on the back of the random locking drawers, so the doors would close. I assumed that they would have put the iron rods on top of the desk or in a drawer, but they didn't. They are nowhere to be found, so I assumed they just took them and threw them away. Half of the value of this one- of-a-kind desk is now gone. We are very angry. Finally, after they left I began arranging the furniture and noticed that as they had come through the basement, perhaps with the sofa, they had cut a two inch long slit in a large family professional photo on the wall. Their carelessness ruined this one and only photo taken of our family fourteen years ago. In summary, they were unresponsive to things I suggested, they didn't follow through on directions I gave them, they were in an extreme hurry, and I was an anxious wreck by the time they left. Basically, from the time they walked through the door, they acted as if this job was a race, and that speed was the only goal. Since they had previously had positive scores on Angie's List, which is why I hired them, I thought it was important to submit a report of my experience and say, "Never hire this moving company!"

Arrived on time, were very polite. After looking at the items to move, described two different pricing options and told me which would be cheaper. Moved things really quickly, were very careful. It was a really smooth move with their help.

We contacted the company ten days prior to moving. They were very responsive and came out the very next day. Joel gave us a quote on the spot. It was comparable to other quotes we received, but Joel was the most responsive of anyone we contacted, so we moved forward with them. On the day of the move, the movers were over 30 minutes late in arriving to start the moving process. Once they started the process, however, they were very efficient and professional. Once they were moving stuff into the new house, they took the time to ask where all of the items were supposed to go and how we wanted the larger pieces of furniture placed. The actual move took about two hours longer than the original estimate and we ended up paying a bit more than expected, but the crew made up for it by being so professional and careful with our stuff. Other than being extremely late to start the job, our only other complaint was that the crew broke for a much longer lunch than we expected. Overall, we thought the movers did a great job.
