Arrived on time. Completed move from Eden Prairie to Plymouth within 2 hours. Professionally, quickly and no damage.

It was a very good company. The guy came out promptly to give us an estimate and he gave us a pretty accurate one. Their services went well. It was a good experience with the transaction.

I'd used A-1 moving last summer when moving from a house in South Minneapolis to a townhouse on the West side of Minneapolis. Two crews brought two huge trucks and moved everything in a single day -- just as they promised -- with no breakage and at the price they quoted. When this much smaller job came up that was right at the end of the month, I hesitated to call them because I thought they would have bigger, more lucrative moves they would want to do. However, I did call and described the small project -- closing out and moving the furniture from my mother-in-laws office to her house, with some of the furniture coming to our house. I knew it would only be a couple of hours, at most, but Fred, the owner, said "No, problem. We'll make it happen." And they did! The two man crew arrived with one of the big trucks right at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, as promised, and had everything moved out of the three room office and down into the truck by 9:00 a.m. -- in spite of dealing with a VERY slow moving elevator. They then made two stops, expertly backing the big truck up the alley to my in-laws house and running the boxes inside. They drove on to our townhouse to unload the majority of the remaining furniture. Of course, to make room for our "new" furniture, we had to get our existing furniture out. Without blinking an eye, the guys started bringing the old stuff down to the garage and then carried in the new. No complaints, no balking. They were done within 2 1/2 hours of starting. Complete professionals. I will continue to use A-1 whenever I have any moving needs, and recommend them without reserve to anyone who wants professional, courteous help.

It went very well and I was pleased by the service

Everything from scheduling to the acutal move went great. The guys from A1 were on time, they didn't waste any time and had the furniture loaded in no time. They were careful with handling the delicate pieces and carefully strapped everything into the truck so it wouldn't sustain any damage in transit. On the receiving end they helped place the furniture in its final place and at my brother's house they even helped him do a bit of rearranging of his current furniture! The move wen't very slick and was done way before I had imagined.

The guys were polite and efficient. I hate moving and vowed I would hire movers for every moving experience from the last move on out. They were actually early which was great because we did not lose valuable time of the day waiting in the three hour window. They were quick but cautious and wrapped all the fragile belongings. The whole process took just two hours even with drive time. I would highly recommend this company! They were professional and courteous and made the experience a breeze! My only regret is never hiring this company to help me move before.

They did an excellent job on all aspects of the move. It was easy to get an estimate and schedule (although we were over a month out). For both the packing and the moving, they sent three men (6 total worked with us). They were all professional and worked hard. Each day was supervised by a foreman. We had more stuff than they expected so even though both days took longer than planned, they still finished in about 6 hours each day. We're very glad we decided to hire A-1, have already recommended them to my parents who are planning a much bigger local move next month, and will use them when we move again in a few years.

Two trucks and three guys later I was all moved in. They deliver the boxes and packing paper before your move and pick them up after at the new location. LOVE that. The guys were fun and careful and genuinely nice. They even moved furniture around until it was in just the "right" spot.

Overall it went very well. They were excellent at the packing, very polite and professional and showed all of the consideration and care I could ask for my breakable china, knickknacks etc. They were very reliable and punctual on the day of the move as well. The only small area in which I was less than 100% delighted was that it sometimes took me several tries to get a call back to deal with getting reimbursed when it turned out that the freezer needed to be repaired after the move. Eventually I did get connected with the right person and they took care of the cost of repair in full, but I was surprised it took so many calls to get thru to him. I didn't have the impression that he was avoiding responsibility but rather that he was busy dealing with other things and wasn't keeping up with his inbox. In any event, it was all resolved, and I would definitely use them again if I need to move.

Did a great job on the move. Got things into our new home and were very careful to not scuff up any walls. On the moving part i'd give them an A. The packing job left something to be desired and i'd give them a D. They were fast but the attention to detail wasn't very good. I just opened up our bathroom boxes and they packed our bathroom trash can complete with the trash still in it. They also packed our tea kettle half full with water so that box got wet. If you're packing yourself I'd recommend. If not, make sure you throw away anything you don't want packed because they toss everything into boxes - trash included.

I called the company to inquire about moving a piano. The gentleman I talked to on the phone suggested that it's probably cheaper to use a company that specializes in piano moving. He was very courteous and gave me a couple recommendation of local piano movers.

Overall, highly recommended.

In the aftermath of a big April snowstorm they were still on time. I was very pleased with the efficiency and dispositions of both of the men. Don't hesitate to hire this company.

A1 moved our possession in a prompt effiicent manner. No damage occurred to our possessions. All promises were kept.

The move went okay only real issue was Fred said that 2 trucks would have been enough... Fred failed to go out and look in my garage, my description of what was out there was enough for him. The garage took up a whole truck of its own, it had to be floor loaded. The claimed the extra truck was free. Let me rewind to my estimate from Fred... 2200$. 500-600 more then other companies, but I liked Fred and his "piece of cake" phrase put me at ease. The estimate being 500-600$ more was okay Fred said because "we never hit the high point of our estimate, we just quote high". Well the extra free truck was not free Fred did hit the high point of the estimate. Final issue, I have a gym quality elliptical that will not come apart. I told one of the movers that it will not come apart, he tried anyway and this cost me 160$ to have repaired. I did call a-1 movers and informed them and no one ever called me back (multiple times). *** it should be noted that this is the second time I have left this review. The first has some how disappeared... I am a paying member of Angie's List I have a right to have my negative experience shared with others that might use this company. Since I only had a single item to move and the move was just across town, I had some difficulty in finding a company to take the job. I sent out several inquiries and received only 2 responses. Brad from A-1 was one of the respondents. When I talked to him the first time, he was very personable and clearly understood the situation. Then, it took me some time to make arrangements to have people available at both ends of the move. When the date was finally determined, I called Brad back and he was able to reserve the date for me. On the specified date, the movers arrived when scheduled and accomplished both ends of the move with ease. It went very smoothly.

A-1 is awesome! They gave me an honest free estimate of what resources I would require from truck space to boxes to time. I chose to store my goods in containers other than A-1 storage, and they were spot-on in estimating the cubic footage required. I hired three of their movers to haul large furniture up- and down-stairs and onto the containers. They were very careful; no damage, and exactly the amount of time the estimator had said the job would require. This was a per-man-hour estimate. He also sold me boxes (new and used), paper and tape, and offered to buy back after my move. I could have found the supplies at any of the big box hardware stores, but they wouldn't have delivered, and I KNOW I wouldn't have believed I needed so many boxes. I chose not to return the boxes - several of my friends benefited instead, and I was able to unpack at leisure. I would absolutely use their services again.

My wife meet Fred for the estimate, and she was happy with his personality. It snowed the day of the move, but the 3 man crew did a good job not bringing in to much dirt to our new house. They worked real hard and took it pretty well after we changed our minds on the piano location. They work by the hour, but I never saw them waste any time. They really try not no damage your stuff, and all went well. Thank you A1.

Went very well. Both times they were here, they were here at the promised time. Worked very efficiently, and took good care of our furniture. On the 2nd visit, we discovered the lights on our pier bedroom set weren't working just as they were pulling out of the driveway. My husband flagged them down, and they came back in and fixed the problem. We will use them again!

They were good. I had no issues, they were right on time, and the price was good.

I worked with Fred who is phenomenal. He is your guy if you need to move. I had a great experience with them. I would highly recommend them. They are prompt, reliable and it was a no-hassle move.

Our 3 movers showed up exactly on time, introduced themselves and then immediately got to work. They were fast, competent and courteous; they asked questions, offered additional packing materials, provided padding and were very professional throughout our move. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

The move went very well. They were very dependable - called before they arrived and came within the time specified. Both movers were very professional and nice. And, they were very cautious to ensure everything was handled with care. I would definitely use them again or recommend them to anyone who asked.

The guys did a great job and were very helpful and careful with my things. Felt like I was the customer for the day - no rush to get on with other things but they did move quickly which was VERY much appreciated.
