Plunkett's Pest Control

I called the main office for Plunketts and was treated well by the customer service person taking my call. She explained the process and said that she would have the service person from my area call me to set up an appointment. Kelly, the service person, called within 24 hours to set up the appointment. He gave a 1 hour window during which he would arrive. On the day of the first appointment, after he had not shown up within 2 hours of the appointment time, I called him to check the status. Due to a confusing house numbering situation in our neighborhood he had been waiting at a home one block over from ours for 20 minutes but no one was home. I gave him directions to our house more specifically and we arranged for another day for him to come. No problems with the next appointment. Kelly arrived on time and performed all of the items that he said he would. We have had one of two follow-up calls on our contract and the evidence of mice are no longer present. The pest control items that he has put into place seem to have taken care of our issue at this point. We still have one further follow up before our initial contract is complete. We are very satisfied with our experience with Plunketts and with Kelly.

We really loved the level of detail that the service person brought to the job. They seemed to know what they were doing, and know the types of houses and creatures in our specific neighborhood. They didn't try to overcharge us but simply rid us of our temporary pests.

Had no effrect what-so-ever on the mouse infestation.

Very prompt, and courteous. The guy was professional, and knew what he was doing. They give a 90 day warranty, in case mice keep showing up. We had to call them two more times, and they responded quickly. We are happy with the results and will give them our business again if needed.

It went incredibly smooth. The service person called and said he could arrive earlier than the appointed time. He was very professional and explained everything that he was going to do. He was very thorough and a very thoughtful of the children at daycare that day. I dont think they even knew he was here, he was so quiet. He sprayed in the basement, in the front porch and areas inside where there was no activity. The chemicals used were not harmful to humans, but he still did not spray where any children were present. We did sign a contract for maintenance service to keep all pests under control year round. I was very pleased.

The gentleman that came to our house was very kind, knowledgable and personable. Having mice in the house (basement) was unnerving to say the least. He was knowledgeable about mice, their patterns and habits, etc. and was able to reassure me that our issues are taken care of. They offer a 90 day guarantee so if we have more issues, they will come back as a part of the original service. I'm very pleased. He answered all my questions, was on time and had offered good communication. When I called to request help with pests, they were the first to respond and were at my house (the next day) before I even received a return call from the other companies.

We live near a wooded area in Edina, and had asked Plunkett to help with the mice problem that we were experiencing in the Fall. We used them for two years, but, in the end got fed up with their inability to resolve our problems. They were willing to continually set traps, and more traps, to stop the mice, but never worked to solve our problem -- only to set more traps, and charge more money. I finally got fed up with Plunkett, and called another company. That company carefully searched the outside of the house for mice entries, and filled those holes. When we didn't succeed to the extent that we hoped, the other company recommended foaming my plate to ensure that mice wouldn't enter. NOW, I don't have mice, and I am not continally dumping money down a drain to no avail. VERY UNHAPPY with Plunkett..

They came out quickly; I believe the next day. They were quite a bit cheaper than everyone else without a special.

We needed pest control in our home ASAP. I called Plunketts which acutally directs you to a headquarters in Fridley, MN. The operator said that Dave (the technician) would call me to make an appointment. I waited 2 business days with no call. I called Plunketts 4 more times and talked with 4 different operators and had little help. One promised to call me back with a solution and never did. I called that operator back the next day and she got snotty on the phone and said that "Dave" said he had called me and left a message that it would be 3 weeks before he would be able to do the job. I never received a call from Dave or a message. When I told the operator this she said that I should double check my voicemails because he said that he had called. I told her that I had been anxiously waiting by my phone for 5 days and had not missed a call or voicemail. Even if he would have left a message telling me this information, 3 weeks until he could provide his services!? This is the worst service I have ever received! I called Midwest Pest Control, which was a little more expensive, and they called me back right away and was able to schedule something within a few days. I would recommend NOT using Plunketts.

We had been using another service to manage recurring intrusions of mice in the lower level of our home for two years. The previous service spent a great deal of time looking for entry points, creating barriers, and baiting. However, we still have evidence of mice and chose Plunkett's to take a new look at the situation. In addition, we had a "massive" infestation of millipedes to contend with as well. Chris from Plunkett's came out and did a thorough assessment of the situation. I thought it was very impressive that he commented that our previous service had performed quality work from what he could tell. Such comments are refreshing and strengthen s companies credibility. Chris was very personable and took appropriate time discussing his recommendations. He made sure we were satisfied and comfortable with the pest and rodent action plan moving forward. We never felt rushed. He treated our home and site with care. He confirmed a follow-up appt. to check on things while on-site and was very accommodating to our schedule. In closing, I found Plunkett's via other Angie's List member reviews and have so far had a positive initial experience.

We have a yearly package with them. They were prompt and courteous.

I would recommend them. They are specialists and have technical knowledge. The price is good but I haven't price shopped them.

I would recommend Plunkett's Pest Control. They are prompt and knowledgeable. He is thorough. They do not complain if you need them to come out again. They have been doing a good job for my mom. We will continue to use them.

They weren't successful. We didn't want to put out any poison so the traps they put out did not work. It was a total failure but it wasn't totally their fault. The guy was late and he didn't always show up when he was supposed to. I don't think I would use this company again.

The Plunkett's service man (Kelly) was prompt, courteous, and informative. He helped us develop a plan, and he told us about extended plans but wasn't pushy about signing up. He also assessed our needs and came in under the original estimate -- what a nice surprise. We will definitely use Plunkett's again.

I have been using them for a decade. They are proactive about scheduling appointments and things so I don't have to worry about it. The technician that comes out has always been pleasant and very easy to work with. Their contract was a reasonable price and if I want any extras they can offer that. The one thing they don't offer is animal removal. For the basic pest control services they have done a really good job.

It was pretty much handled through my home association. So they leveraged that relationship and were able to come out for free essentially. I didn’t have to pay any money. They set some traps and I didn’t even see any mice. So, as far as I was concerned they did their job. This company was quick; they got out there and addressed the problem.

I am very satisfied with the work they do. I have not seen anything since they came out. So it was instant result. Price wise I think they are reasonable. I have not met with them but my husband has and he has nothing negative to say about them.

They are effective, very customer service oriented and they do great work.

We have probably used the service about 6 - 8 times over a 15 year period, and it was always performed professionally and effectively.

I love working with them! They’ve been sending out the same technician for the past 11 years, who is Jerry, and he is really great. He knows what he’s doing, is honest, efficient, and if I have any problems, he comes out right away.

They are dependable and they are nice people.
