Plunkett's Pest Control

I think these folks know what they are doing, but communication and follow up is poor. I will try another company as I search for expertise and professional communication.

Great! They were out within a day when I called and the young man who came were very prompt on responding to my need and very knowledgeable on what he's doing and was careful to check the source of removal, thorough in applying the chemical and I highly recommend them and they're reasonable.

Noticed a couple mouse droppings in my basement so I called Plunkett's - my landlord at a previous location swore by them for pest control. I signed up for the exterior service. Plunkett's was very responsive from the start. Person came out within a business day or two of my first contact, she very thoroughly inspected the exterior of my house and plugged all the possible mouse-entry homes. This included happily fighting through very painful and thorn-ridden landscaping to make sure she wouldn't miss even an inch of stucco when checking for holes. On the interior, I already had several traps placed in my basement, so the person suggested I skip the full interior service (where they set and check traps) and instead just made recommendations of how I could better place the traps. She also noticed one successful capture and removed it for me. Very hard working and thorough, would call again but hopefully that's not necessary...

They are coming on Tuesday of next week. I have used them for years. They come 3 times, they come in the spring and summer.

They solved the earwig problem. I liked that they did not try to up sell me on other services.

Shady operation. Signed up for a year long contract & they did not deliver services promised & charged us again when we called them to fulfill the original service agreement. Service rep told us one thing & corporate just wanted to stick us with another contact & fees. AVOID!

Over the course of figuring this termite thing out I dealt with five Plunkett's employees, and they were fantastic. Professional, punctual, and thorough. They went over the house with a fine-toothed comb looking for live termite activity (found two locations) and installed a Sentricon bait system. They were very good communicators and explained everything they were doing and looking for. (I ask a lot of questions.) There are off-the-shelf termite control products out there, but it was important to me to put it in professional hands.

Initially good customer service and they signed us up for a one year contract that called for regular visits/maintenance. They did show up a couple of times but quit coming half way through. When we called them to make good on the contract the rep offered to come out to visit again at no charge. Then we received an invoice for another full year of services which we did not want or authorize. We called the rep numerous times to correct the situation and he promised time and time again to handle it. He didn't and they turned us over to collections and the management refused to discuss with us. SHADY!

My review is mixed because my issue is with their customer service. The first experience I had was great. Scott explained everything to me, told me what my next prices would be & everything. He was very thorough. The bugs that I have been seeing 6 months later are mostly dead when I see them, but since it's spring i wanted to get a head start. I called to make an appointment & was told a different & higher price, which would have been the same as the initial price-but Scott the technician told me it would be about half. I spoke with the manger Sue & she had Scott call me. He scheduled last Friday to come out & try to fit me in & said he would call if he had to reschedule. Mind you, that was last Friday & I still have not heard from them! I called & left a message on Sue (the manager) voicemail & she won't return my call either. So, the product works....but the customer service experience is awful! Doesn't matter if the product works if you can't get the service.

This company is horrible. They will renew a contract without your authorization. Dawn an employee there spoke very condescendingly and said "I'm sorry you don't understand the contract YOU SIGNED" then threatened to put the bill in collections, which it already was. They claim they provided service but never did. It's a complete scam. This company is horrible, nothing short of a scam.

Very satisfied with this service. Although no mice were found, I now have peace of mind.

Exceeded expectations. This treatment was of both a first floor rental apartment and basement in a fourplex apartment building. The tenant was bothered by seeing centipedes and, although no other insect problems have been reported in this building in the past 15 years, this was a habitability concern for her. From first contact with Plunkett's Pest Control, through treatment appointment, and billing, the process was smooth. The technician was on time, thorough, and enthusiastically answered questions from both me and also the tenant. (Two treatments, two weeks apart.) Recommended!

Great! They even came back to make sure everything was still good. After Scott sprayed around the house by the garage, I saw a pile of dead ants within less than a few hours.

We have them on contract. They do regular seasonal maintenance.

Great! Would love to see the tech use a mask or more cover up from chemicals..

They have always done a great job. If bugs start showing up in between services, they come out and it does not cost you anything. They guarantee their work. If I get bees and nests, they come out to take care of it and it does not cost me anything. It is an excellent company.

I have used them for years. They did a great job.

Have not decided to use them. The issue is the cost of the service plus my time vs. the value of my property.

They're very professional and always reliable. I would highly recommend them.

I called with a concern about whether a nest the painters had discovered in a vent in my garage was a wasp nest or a honey bee nest. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful and assured me, from the information I gave her, that it was a wasp's nest.

I was naive about what to expect for, the service. They came when I called with a problem and made periodic checks when they were in the area. I found out 2 days ago that I actuallymhave 5 holes on the outside of my house at the foundation level that have never been addressed before. The inspector could tell by the material by the holes. Where was Plunkett ? They never addressed the outsid holes to my knowledge and only put a " bandage on the situation" by filling in the inside holes. They came and "sprayed the outside foundation and checked mouse traps. Those things I felt I could do myself and save $750.00 a year.

Overall the heat treatment team in Plunkett?s Pest Control did a great job in helping us to solve our bed bug problem. Derrick, the heat treatment team leader, with Josh and his crew members Matt and Ross did a great job! They all are very helpful and responsible. It has been about two months after the treatment, we have not found any live bedbug in our apartment (except for a dying one crawling on the second day after the treatment). It seems that the treatment was quite successful. Thank you very much! Before the treatment, Josh, the work group leader, came to our apartment to give an inspection and to explain what would be done in the heat treatment. Josh was very honest, nice and considerate in discussing our situation. After the inspection, Derrick came to give us an assessment and to discuss the treatment. Because this was the first time we had the bed bug problem, we were rather stressful and had a lot of concerns and questions about it. In particular, a few days before the heat treatment, my husband just had a major surgery and was unable to help the preparation at all. Derrick is very nice, knowledgeable and very professional. He had answered all of my questions patiently. He understood my fears for bed bugs and for the heat treatment and advised me how to deal with this tough situation. He also helped us in person for the preparation. The day before the treatment, he came to our apartment to help moving heavy stuff (many boxes, furniture, suitcases etc.) off the wall. This is a big relief for me. We really very much appreciate it. Thanks. At the treatment day, Josh and his crew members (Matt and Ross) arrived 15 minutes before 7 AM. They helped me to finish my last minute preparation work, and then worked until late afternoon. They heated the apartment quite thoroughly with the highest temperature allowed. They are very courteous and hard-working crew, very friendly and professional. I stopped by the apartment before they finished the treatment, I was amazed at how hard they were working. About a week after the treatment, Derrick came to inspect our apartment. He didn?t find any live bed bugs left, he told us to call them if we find any bed bug in the future. Josh also came to inspect our apartment to make sure that we are bed bugs free. There will be one or two inspections in the future. We know that we are in good hands. We are happy with the treatment results. (Approximate cost of service $1900 is for two 2 bedroom apartments.)

We called them on a Tuesday about a wasp's nest. They came out the next day and applied a pesticide. They told us that if we noticed more wasps to call them back and they would return at no extra cost. This is exactly what happened when, a few days later, I tried to calk the hole in the foundation that was the entrance to the nest. Several wasps entered and exited the nest as I approached. We called them back and they returned the next day and applied more pesticide. That did the job and I was able to seal the hole a couple of days later. Unlike some of the other highly rated providers that we tried to contact, Plunkett's had someone answering the phone and it only took one phone call to schedule the service.

Everything went well. They did a good job and they were able to get rid of the mice.
