Description of Work: Chimney inspection. Thorough evaluation. Explained what he was doing, and what he saw in terms that were easy for me to understand. He pointed out some work that will be needed in the future, but is not required immediately. I really appreciate a professional who doesn't try to sell emergency services when they are not warranted. I will definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Evaluated our chimney inside and out for converting back to wood burning. He was extremely knowledgeable and did a good job of explaining options.

Description of Work: Jim is very knowledgable, timely and good at explaining the details and setting expectations. Highly professional - will be using him and referring friends to him as our go-to chimney guy.

Description of Work: Checked chimney and roof around the chimney to determine how water is leaking to ceiling of house. | |The inspection was great. Jim from London Aire was very thorough and had pictures so I did not need to go up on the roof. I am now getting an estimate for the total cost. If I select London Aire - $60 of the inspection fee will go toward the total cost.

Description of Work: Although there were no reports on this company I gave them a call as I had seen ads in our local Sun/This Week paper. As there was no answer and no machine to leave a message, I called another company with a high rating on Angie's List and booked a visit from them. Later in the evening I was a bit startled to get a call saying that someone at my number had called. I merely stated that I hadn't left a message and as there had been no answer... I had already made other arrangements. The caller was perhaps tired/out of sorts as his comment was "Well, we are already booked all month anyway". The tone was annoyed and dismissive. A good lesson to me as I use the list carefully and have been thrilled with all the various jobs I have scheduled in many categories after reading reports submitted by members. I won't try another company who has no reports or consistently negative ones again! Go Angie's List!

Description of Work: INSPECTED AND CLEANED OUT CHIMNEYS. ONE CHIMNEY HAD NESTS AND DEBRIS. FAULTY CHIMNEY TOPS HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN INSTALLED (BY ANOTHER CONTRACTOR). JIM AT LONDON AIRE PUT ON NEW TOPS AND RECOMMENDED AN ENERGY SAVING "CAP" FOR ONE CHIMNEY THAT WE ARE NOT USING AT THIS TIME (LITTLE GIRLS ROOM HAS A FIREPLACE, AND WE DO NOT USE THIS AT ALL). AIR WAS ESCAPING (HEAT/AIR CONDITIONER) WHICH IMPACTED OUR YEARLY ENERGY BILLS.

Description of Work: CHECKED CHIMNEY TO ENSURE SAFE OPERATION.
