+ -1 moreWe had looked at a few appliance stores for purchase of all new kitchen appliances. We have used Excelsior Appliance in the past so after we looked around we went there. They matched most of the prices and were less expensive than Sears for installation. They called when the appliances came in, delivered them all and installed them on the day we requested. What more can you ask? We were very happy with their service and will use them again.
Description of Work: Purchased four appliances for our kitchen and had them installed. Purchased a convection wall oven, small dishwasher, over the counter microwave and eclectic stove top.

Description of Work: I had decided to replace my Maytag Neptune washer with a new machine and was willing to look at the top loading machines. Joe showed me the available models. After sleeping on it, I called to place my order. Later I got a call that the machine I had chosen was no longer available. So I chose the replacement for that model, even though the price was $40 more what I had looked at and no rebate. The machine was installed on a Wednesday. There was a foam ring like piece that was on the floor near my new machine. I called Excelsior to question if that should have been installed somewhere and was told that it did not belong anywhere. Also a smell that I wondered about was explained to be a new product smell that would go away in about two weeks.

Description of Work: OUR WASHING MACHINE WAS MAKING A LOUD NOISE AND WOULDN'T SPIN. I CALLED EXCELSIOR APPLIANCE AFTER SEEING THEIR RATINGS HERE. THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT EARLY THE NEXT DAY. THE REPAIR MAN WAS ABLE TO ASSESS THE PROBLEM QUICKLY. IT WAS A BROKEN COUPLER. HE HAD THE NEW PART WITH HIM AND WAS ABLE TO FIX IT.

Description of Work: THE BASKET IN MY CLOTHES WASHER WOULD NOT SPIN, SO A SERVICEMAN CAME AND SAID THE PULLEY WAS BROKEN. HE CALLED FOR THE PULLEY AND THE NEXT DAY HE CALLED BACK TO SAY THAT THE PULLEY WAS A PERMANENT PART OF THE MOTOR, SO THE WHOLE MOTOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. HE ESTIMATED THAT THE REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION WOULD BE ABOUT $200. OR MORE. I DECIDED TO LOOK AT NEW WASHERS @ EXCELSIOR APPLIANCE. I FOUND A HIGHER GRADE OF KITCHENAID WASHER THAN THE 6 YR OLD AMANA THAT HAD THE PROBLEM. I PURCHASED THE KITCHENAID WASHER FROM EXCELSIOR APPLIANCE..

HE TOLD ME HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO REPAIR AND APPROXIMATELY HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO REPLACE THE WASHER WITH ONE HAVING SIMILAR FEATURES. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED.
Description of Work: BECAUSE OUR CLOTHES WASHER WOULDN'T SPIN OUT THE WATER, THE EXCELSIOR TECHNICIAN HYPOTHESIZED SEVERAL REASONS. HE ELIMINATED CAUSES RELATED TO THE COUPLER, THE CLUTCH AND THE TRANSMISSION. HE SAID THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE BASKET DRIVE.

WE ENDED UP BUYING A NEW WASHER/DRYER SET FROM THEM. THE PRICE WAS AS GOOD AS ANYWHERE IN THE AREA AND INCLUDED FREE DELIVERY AND SETUP.
