I called Dick and he came over the same day and looked at the problem and said he'd be back the next day to fix it and he did. It looks great. He was very meticulous and proud of his work. So am I...Thank you Dick.

Dick's a great guy, and an expert installer. He got the job done in one day, answered all my dumb questions, and I learned a lot about carpet in the process. I spent just a tiny bit more than a big store, but he did an outstanding job, made process easy, and had a great selection through his supplier.

The work went reasonably well. Dick is friendly and easy to talk with, and the final result looks quite good. A few aspects of the job were not performed flawlessly. When he stretched our family room carpet, the equipment damaged the paint on the baseboards. Dick did not mention this to me. I discovered it shortly after he left and had to touch-up the paint myself. This sort of damage would seem to be avoidable. When discussing the installation of the new carpet, Dick said he would be able to do the work promptly. I explained that we were not in a hurry, but it would be preferable to complete the work in a reasonable time frame. Dick did not return to install the carpet for about six weeks, and he did not keep us informed regarding the longer than expected time line. When he did finally contact us, he said that his business a gotten busier, and he could not work in a small job like ours. I understand this up to a point, but at least, I would have expected better communication. Lastly, Dick left numerous scraps of carpet fiber on the floor where he cut and fit the new carpet. I expected him to clean up after his work.

Couldn't have gone better. It was only a couple of days from bid to intallation.

Service was pretty good overall. I would recommend them. This was the first time I ever had any carpet patching done.

Dick promptly returned my phone call, came right out to do an estimate, and completed the work within 48 hours of the estimate. The carpet looks great and he did the work at the price he quoted, which was about 40% of what a competitor quoted. I highly recommend Dick's Carpet Service.

Dick was very professional and did a good job installing the carpet. The carpet looks great, and there is no evidence of a seam. Overall, it was a good experience - no problems at all.

They gave us an estimate, which was right on. They did a good job. They took the old carpet out for us and they cleaned up well. They got everything done in just one day.

Dick was originally hired to install carpet in only one bedroom. The room looked so fantastic, we had the two adjoining rooms re-carpeted two days later. His work is top notch. Dick takes his time to make sure the job is done perfectly. He does not rush through things. He is a meticulous craftsman and clearly takes pride in his work. We purchased the carpet from Dick's wholesaler at a nice discount. The wholesaler was even able to help me choose the carpet for the additional rooms over the phone based on my first choice, thus saving me a trip to the showroom. Dick arrived on schedule and worked straight through until the job was completed. He comes "fully equipped" and even brought his own refreshments, although we would have been happy to provide him with whatever he needed. Overall, this was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor, even my husband is raving about how much brighter and attractive the rooms are now.

Excellent. Having used Dick once before, we were familiar with his great service and pricing. Nonetheless, we compared prices with other sources. Dick's price was better than any we found elsewhere, and the carpet we selected from his vendor's showroom was top-notch. He was very accommodating with our schedule, and did an outstanding job with the installation. It couldn't have worked out any better.

We played phone tag a bit to get the appointment scheduled. Dick is busy doing work during the day and returns calls as he is able. We got the appointment scheduled within a reasonable time frame. Dick was late to the appointment, but called ahead to let me know. He came in, did his thing, and fixed the carpet - it looks great. I feel like the labor cost charged was very reasonable. The carpet is fixed and I feel like I got my money's worth.

He is prompt and returns calls. I recommend him to my clients to use.

Dick gave a ballpark estimate over the phone based on my description of the work to be done. He came out immediately, confirmed the estimate, and was able to do the work the same day. The carpet looks great.

Dick gave me an estimate over the phone of about $300, and we set up a time for him to come several days later. He called that morning to say he was running about 15 minutes late. As he indicated, he arrived about 15 minutes later. He worked all day replacing the carpet. He did great work. You really can't tell where the old carpet ends and the new begins. When I initially talked with him, I had forgotten that I wanted to replace the carpet in the closets - that's the reason that the final total is slightly higher than the estimate. Overall, it went very well and he is very competitively priced.

When Dick originally came out to give an estimate for stretching our carpet he explained what needed to be done and thought the work should take about an hour and a half. When he got into the job he discovered that the original installation was inferior. He needed to replace all tack strips and the work ended up taking four hours rather than one and a half. He did an excellent job of restretching, did not complain of the extra work, and cleaned up when all was done. When it came time to pay I asked him what I owed, assuming he would charge more than his estimate, because the work took more then twice as long as anticipated. But he said he could only charge me for what he estimated. I was very impressed.

Dick had great communication right from the start. Scheduling and service was excellent! Dick was very professional and hardworking. Overall service was outstanding! Would call back anytime to do any carpet install or repair.

Absolutely wonderful!!! I've found "my carpet guy" for as long as he is in business and am so relieved! Mr. Miller was prompt, professional, reasonably priced, did the work himself with meticulous detail to appearance and quality. He referred me to a great carpet supplier, I went and was able to choose the new carpeting from an entire warehouse of in-stock rolls, and he was back within a couple of days to do the installation. Everything turned out beautifully. He was also able to provide me with hard wood flooring and carpet cleaning companies that he has first hand knowledge of and can attest to their expertise. I very much feel that this first referral and service from Angie's List was worth more than every penny I spent to join Angie's List!!

Dick had time to come out the same day to do the install. He is great to work with, takes his time and does the job right. I did help a little bit just due to the size of the carpet that needed to be installed. I would recommend Dick to anyone that wants the job done right.

I would absolutely use him for any carpet needs in the future.

We decided on a carpet which had a pattern (much harder to install - lining up the "lines" of the design and pattern with seams, etc). Dick's service in all regards was outstanding. Technically superb job. You can tell Dick has over 30 years of experience. Just a great experience. In fact, this is the second home I have had him work on. If we ever buy another or update our carpet he would be my first and only call. I have a feeling he is much lower in price, too. You don't often get top quality service with lowest pricing. You will with Dick!

Dick was prompt in calling me back after our initial contact, as well as showing up on time to do the job. His professionalism and craftsmanship is second to none. I would not hesitate to hire him again and would certainly recommend him to family and friends.

He was a very nice gentleman. He doesnt provide the carpet so I thought it would be to much of a pain for me to go out and find carpet. I would use someone where I didnt have to do so much myself. Inconvenient because he only deals with one carpet warehouse I would have had to buy from and they are not open weekends.

The project went very well. Dick initially came to give us an estimate, then we went to Vrooman's to pick out the carpet, then Dick came to do the rough cutting, then he came back to do the final installation. The carpet runner looks very good. I appreciated the fact that Dick offered advice as to the best configuration for the odd layout that we had.

Everything was great! Dick came over to measure for carpet and went over various ways the stairway could be done and patiently explained everything to me (he doesn't charge for the measuring trip). The showroom he uses was very close to my house and I went there several times, to order a lot of samples. The staff at the showroom is great too! I had a hard time making up my mind but they were very patient with me. I picked a different carpet for the stairway and hall from another source that unfortunately Dick couldn't get for me. When I called Dick to ask him about it he said the important thing was to get what I wanted, not whether or not he installed it. His work is great and so are his ethics and you couldn't deal with a nicer person. The rooms and closets he carpeted turned out beautifully and I'm extremely pleased. I would recommend him.
