The issue with my fridge was spotted quickly and Kathy was able to get the necessary replacement part the same day, preventing extra water damage to my floor. I appreciated her speed and overall was very happy with the experience.

The Fix-It-Chick responded quickly to my request for a dryer repair. When she arrived for the appointment, she determined the cause of the problem and explained what needed to be repaired. The job was done quickly at a reasonable price. I will hire her again!

I called Kathy, Fix - it - Chick, after doing some research on appliance repair companies. I felt confident in reaching out and called after dinner. She answered right away asked for our information, spoke with my husband to trouble shoot and said she'd call the next day after she did some research on our dishwasher issue. She called in the afternoon to let me know that she did not want to travel to our town - turning down a job - who does that? On her website she clearly states "we gladly service the Whole Metro Area... " evidently not and now we are back at square one. She clearly knew where we lived when we first spoke and could have mentioned she didn't want to travel to our town so we didn't waste a whole day. Very disappointing after hearing such great things about her work.

Kathy collected all necessary information over the phone before she arrived. She is very knowledgeable and fixed the issue at a very reasonable price. I will definitely call Kathy for any appliance issues.

I could not believe how quick Katy responded to my initial call. I called around 8:30. Kath needed some time to locate a part. She called me back within a half hour and was at our house and the dishwasher back in working order before noon!

Kathy collected all the info on the freezer - make, model, serial number - did a bit of research then called me to discuss. She believed that it was not cost-effective to have it serviced. She saved me time to meet with her at the house and a service fee. I really appreciated her candor on the situation

Kathy is the best! She reviewed with me the issue I was having with my gas dryer cane prepared with the parts to fix it and cleaned up when she was done. I will use her every time I need a repair Awesome lady!

She answered the phone on a Saturday - squeezed in an appointment for next weekday - quickly found the problem and was able to fix it on the spot. Cheerful and explained things clearly. Also checked a once-flaky refrigerator, which we had been inclined to write off as a loss. (We hadn't called about that, only about the dryer, but happened to talk about it while she was here.) It seems to be behaving fine at the moment. She explained what to look for, things that might cause occasional erratic behavior, suggested what could be replaced to address the problem but didn't pressure us to do that. Delighted to recommend the Fix-It Chick!

It went well. She clearly has a tightn schedule but she made it work with good autonomy. That means that she essentially found the fine, and got it done without me having to be chasing her. Other vendors require more handholding, and I don’t have time for that. As far a the repairs: she had the part, got it fixed, and communicated very well. 2nd time I’ve hired her, and will continue to do so.

She was able to diagnose what was wrong with the dryer quickly and was able to replace the parts with what she had with her. Most other repair companies will not even touch Samsung.

I spoke with Kathy about a broken wash machine. She listened to my concerns and we discussed potential issues. It was determined that the cost to repair was not higher than cost to replace. Kathy was overbooked but referred me to a colleague for a second opinion.

My reviews are very late. Initially I hired Fix-It-Chick to repair our clothes washer. It turned out to be a misaligned sensor problem, so she only charged us the minimum repair and visit fee, as well as instructing us on how to handle the washer to keep it from happening again. Shortly after that we had a dishwasher hose rupture, which caused major damage to our kitchen flooring. She quickly diagnosed the problem, procured the parts, and made the repairs. She also offered her advice on how to deal with our insurance company when they initially balked at us making a claim. She advised us on photographing the damage to the hose and the floor to present to the insurance company, and we did make a claim and receive a settlement. She is always very professional and prompt in communicating scheduling and estimation of repairs. I would definitely use her services again.

Kathy came the same day I called even though it was not an emergency. She explained what she was doing every step of the way. A bad unit was replaced and she demonstrated what was wrong with the original unit Upon leaving she explained that if this did not fix the problem she would return without another service. Very pleased with her service.

Once Kathy showed up and was able to get the dryer apart, the actual repair was quite simple. I had already ordered the correct parts but still needed some screws. We decided that it would be cheaper if I continued the repair instead of having Kathy run around picking up screws and coming back to finish up the job, which was very nice of her giving me that option. I will definitely use her again!!

Kathy quickly gave us a diagnosis over the phone, took down our model and serial number, and said she would do some research and get back to us soon. When she called back an hour or so later, she had the part and an estimate for us. She came out the same day, texted when she was on her way, walked right in and got to work, and was all done less than 45 minutes later. Our oven is again heating properly.

Fix it chick knew what the problem was, and fixed them both. I would consider her an expert, and a perfectionist, and plan on calling her whenever I need an appliance fixed.

Kathy came in and diagnosed the smell as from a fire of the lint and the problem as lint build up in the vent. She cleaned up the lint from the dryer and also fixed a problem with the washer by fixing the back legs so it doesn't shake anymore during the spin cycle.

Too expensive to fix. Purchased new machine.
