Kathy was extremely helpful and contacted back right away. We had made several calls to other repair places first but one told us we lived too far away (Elk River, they were in Spring Lake Park) and the other we couldn't even speak to anyone. We had to send a text and were told they would get back to us within 48 hours, which was not helpful considering our two year old refrigerator was not currently working. She walked my husband through several plans of attack, which he did and we are waiting to see if it worked. And, she gave us information on how to contact Kitchen Aid to get the part we needed and have it covered. She went above and beyond! We are crossing our fingers that it will now work!

I called Kathy to schedule a service call when our Kenmore refrigerator went out. She did some trouble shooting over the phone to determine the problem. After talking for awhile, she said that she thought that the condenser unit might still be under warranty and to call LG. That way, she said, she wouldn't have to charge us for a service call. I did call LG, and the unit was still under warranty, so I had LG fix the fridge. Thanks to Kathy for not making an unnecessary service call, thus saving us considerable money. I will not hesitate to call her in the future for any problems that might arrise.

Kathy responded to my call quickly and knew how to fix my 30-year old washing machine. She got the parts and installed them the next day, and drove through a snowstorm to get to me. I will definitely call her again in the future for any appliance repair needs.

Fantastic.Called on Sat and Kathy answered. Gave her all the info she needed and said she would get back to me. Resigned to wait till Mon but no. She called on SUNDAY!!! and could be here within the hour. 30 min later she was digging into the fridge and had it working. Plus she figured out why my dryer wasn't heating right(bird nest in the exhaust pipe) all in under an hour. 18 years experience she is both very knowledgeable and very intuitive. I had a question about microwave repair. She answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Kathy actually answered her phone on a Saturday! She helped us troubleshoot based on error codes on our Whirlpool dryer and was able to get out to our house within a few days with replacement parts she had in stock. Unfortunately those did not quite work, so she taught my daughter how to connect a new control board (simple, really!) and ordered the part for us. Rather than waiting for shipment, I drove out to the vendor to pick up the part and thanks to her teaching we installed it quickly without needing a second service visit from Kathy although she was very willing to come out for the install herself. Her creativity and service saved us time and money and taught us a few things too! (You know the saying -- teach a man to fish...) Kathy was professional, responsive and promoted empowering us to learn too -- I would most highly recommend her for any job and we plan to use Fix-It-Chick again when needed!

Kathy was able to rule out one issue over the phone then she talked us through some steps to verify the cause of the problem. She ordered the part and had it delivered to our house. We installed the part ourselves! We paid for the part and shipping and of course for Kathy’s time. It was less expensive this way (we live pretty far away) and even kind of fun to learn a little about electricity! We will call Fix It Chick with our next appliance repair!

We contacted Kat after a poor experience with a different repair company. Kat clearly communicated when she'd be able to come out and look at our dryer, which was running but not heating. After looking at it, she quickly identified the problem and replaced the heating element. She also made sure to vacuum out the lint in the dryer and replace the screws where they belonged, both of which the other company failed to do. We hope we won't need her services again soon, but she's our go-to person for appliance repair from now on. Thanks Kat!

There were two things wrong with our fridge and both times Fix-It-Chick knew what was needed based on a discussion over the phone and was able to quickly fix it. I would definitely call her again next time I have an appliance not working.
