Direct Home Appliance Service

I called to have service done on the refrigerator in my rental home as it would not cool. Jane was accommodating and after putting me on hold, was able to get a technician meet me at the house on Saturday of 4th of July weekend. The technician - Jon, who turned out to be the owner of the company, arrived at 8:10AM for an 8:00AM appointment. Not a big deal in my mind as they did go out of the way for me to schedule me early. Jon diagnosed the problem, and installed a new main board. The entire process took 20 minutes. At this point everything seemed just fine. When Jon presented me with the bill I noticed he charged me for 30 minutes of labor. I asked Jon to explain why 30 minutes, when he had been at the house for only 20 minutes. Jon told me that he did a 20 minute job and was charging me for 30 minutes. He then said "If you don't like it, call someone else next time." He also said that he could "uninstall" the main board, which just sounded inappropriate to me. His response surprised me. All I was looking for was a simple explanation that made sense. I went outside with Jon to not involve my tenants in this conversation and he went on to tell me how all of his competitors overcharge their customers. He gave me examples of different repair companies in the area. I was not sure why he was telling me this and how it was relevant to my 1 simple question. Jon's negative and somewhat rude attitude, (keep in mind he is the owner of the company) is the reason I will not call Direct Home Appliance Services in the future. And I do believe he marked up the parts close to 100%.

The repair person was pleasant, polite, professional, and prompt. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the fuse, and made sure the heat was restored, We were very pleased with the service and the cost, with added bonus of getting the dryer repaired so quickly.

Everything went perfectly! I called and left a message and got a return call promptly. They were able to come out the same day and Trevor called 15 minutes before he arrived like I had requested. Trevor was very professional and fixed our dyer quickly. I was very happy with the price and the whole experience. I would absolutely call them again!

Diagnosed problem within 5 minutes. Lid switch was replaced. They were able to send someone on the day I called. Repair took 15 minutes as they had the part available.

They were able to send out a technician the same day of my call. He replaced the oven probe, ran some test and wrapped up under a half-hour. Very courtesies repair person, answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend this company.

He was the best. Gave me a date to come 3 times quicker than the next best (2 days instead of a week to 3 weeks). He showed up on time, found the problem immediately and fixed it. He explained the situation to me, and what to watch for. The refrigerator resumed working and everything is great.

I got on the schedule quickly and they arrived on time, figured out the problem and were able to replace the seal on the sink and replace the pump on the dishwasher. The repair person clearly knew what he was doing. I'd call them again for appliance repairs.

With houseguests coming this weekend, our dryer stopped drying yesterday. After making several calls, we found Direct Home and they scheduled a time to come out today. Dave arrived within the two hour appointment window, and in no time had both repairs completed. We felt we received excellent service at a fair price, and would not hesitate to use this company again or recommend them to others.

Great. I called and they were able to come our same say or next day! Answered all my persnickety questions. Very satisfied.

Our clothes dryer quit heating a few days earlier so i began calling appliance service companies for help. Jon at Direct Home was the first to schedule a service call within a day and was very helpful/professional with me on the phone (some companies offered an appointment 1 1/2 to 2 weeks out, and only if you gave them credit card info?). Trevor came the next day, was able to locate the problem almost immediately and explained the fix very well. He was done within an hour. I would definitely recommend them for all you appliance repairs.

Gas dryer was taking multiple cycles to dry cloths. Sent an inquiry from their website (on a Sunday) and they contacted me on Monday to find out details and set up appointment. On Tuesday, they came out (2 hour appointment window) to investigate problem and repair. They found the dryer vents to be partially occluded. After cleaning out and checking the air flow, it was determined that was the likely source of the dryer problem. However, I was told if that didn't solve the problem, they had a 30 day return policy where they would come back out (i.e. no additional house call fee) to investigate or correct. After 2 weeks, it became clear that the vent wasn't the source of the problem. I called Direct Home Appliance and they came back out in less than 24 hours. They replaced a gas valve/switch in the dryer. While making this repair, they found that a gasket around the drum had torn and could also have been a part of the problem. The technician didn't have the gasket part on his truck, but called the office and found he could have it the next day. They came out the next day, completed the repair and the dryer has worked great since. I found them to be very knowledgeable, thorough and efficient. Would definitely recommend and use again for any needed appliance repairs.

I would highly recommend Dave & this company. He was able to come that day (which was important since we had just returned from vacation & had a lot of laundry to do!), he charged a fair & reasonable amount, and he was professional & helpful.

I called this morning after discovering my freezer was no longer working. Jon made it out to look at the freezer within less than 3 hours. (Unfortunately, it would cost more to fix it than to buy a new one.) I was very impressed with how quickly he was able to get to my house and determine the problem. (The first company I called told me they could come out in two days which was obviously not acceptable under the circumstances.) He made some helpful suggestions for purchasing a new freezer. Would definitely use them again.

Tyler arrived exactly on time. Service was professional and efficient. He replaced the faulty igniter and was on his way in under 90 minutes. This was, across the board, an excellent experience. I highly recommend this company for Dryer repairs.

We have used this company before. They are prompt and do a good job. Have used them three times and have been happy with their service each time.

Contacted Jon on Friday afternoon, he answered my call while having lunch with his daughter and set an appointment for the following morning (Saturday) to come and repair my fridge. Trevor showed up right at the time Jon said theyd be arriving. Trevor diagnosed the issues I was having with my fridge (cool on the bottom and warm on the top) and replaced the fan that was shot. Trevor was in and out in about 90 minutes and my fridge was back to working less than 24 hours after I had become aware of the issue.

He came out in a timely fashion and was able to solve the problem after ordering a low cost part. I appreciate his flexibility and will be calling him again should we have applicance repairs.

Dave returned my call promptly and made an appointment for an hour later. He was straight forward and friendly.

The wash machine is fixed. The total bill came out to $129. The service tech spend enough time to educate my wife on the operation of the machine so that in the future we don't use so much soap. This wasn't the problem however helping us learn more about the best use o the machine after repairing it properly is key. It builds trust, he also had her run a load for a littel to double check the link had been handled. In the future we will be using these guys for all our appliance fix ups and the tech suggested that if we were in the market for something new give them a call. They would provide some insight into what they're seeing from a service prospective. This is great there not selling us on some product but telling us what lemons to avoid. We bought this front load washer from Best Buy a little over a year ago. It no longer has a warranty, and it's the second issue with it. We probably could avoided this model had we knew about this service before had. Thanks a lot guys.....

Our refrigerator stopped working, so we needed someone to come out the same day. Our usual appliance repair vendor couldn't make it that day, and the first few others I called weren't available, but Direct Home Appliance Service said they could be there in a few hours. Dave was professional, tidy, and thorough -- he found the problem and replaced the board quickly. He also noticed our non-functioning ice maker and told me they could replace it for a parts-only charge if we wanted him to come back within 30 days. I called back a week or two later to have them come out and replace the ice maker; Jon said he was going to confirm that they had the right part, but I didn't hear back from him. When I called back, he said they had the part and that Dave could come install it right away -- I think he was waiting for me to call back, a small miscommunication there. Dave installed the ice maker and even cleaned out the bottom of our freezer where a soda had exploded! We will continue to use Direct Home Appliance Service in the future.

The fridge was no longer getting the cooling air from the freezer. Dave came and quickly determined that frost had covered the freezer coils, pointing to one of three possible causes. After removing the coil cover, he immediately identified the problem. Defrosted the coils, replaced the defective part (had a dozen spares in the truck), and reloaded everything.

Dave from Direct Home Appliance Service came within the agreed 2 hour time frame. He was courteous and clean. He completed the work on the same day and had the necessary part with him. Direct Home Appliance's price was easily far less than what the manufacturer would have charged. The manufacturer never got a chance, though because they couldn't come out sooner than a week, which would have left me oven-less for Thanksgiving. (turkey sushi, anyone?) Anyway, when I needed them, DHA was there with great service, availability and price.

Dave did a great job. He was professional and worked really hard. Outcome very satisfactory.

On Friday David replaced the wiring and cleaned out the condenser area. Unfortunately, Friday afternoon water reappeared in the bottom of the refrigerator. I called David--who returned saturday morning at no charge to continue the "repair". It turned out the water was melting of the residual ice. He was very good natured about coming a 2nd time which turned out not to be needed.

Very professional and on time. Had the part available so no need to come back.
