Sterling Fence

Description of Work: I have used them in the past and they do really good work. I have another section of fence that needs to be replace and will be calling them.

Description of Work: We hired Sterling Fence to install a black chain link fence in our backyard. When the sales guy initially wrote up the info. He had said to allow a couple weeks. Almost a month went by withy zero communication. I had to call them to see when they were going to start. They came out a couple days later and set the posts. I asked whe. They would be back to finish as we had to remove part of a flower bed for the fence to be within our property line. They said mid week the following week at the earliest. To our surprise they came on Monday and installed part of the fence- the area by the flowerbed was left and so was a portion by the garage. We received no additional communication as to when they'd be back. A week went by and I had to call them again to find out when it would be finished- I called the sales guy who proceeded to tell me that it was our fault it wasn't done as they couldn't finish it because the flowered wasn't remived when they came back- to which I informed him that they had told me they were going to be finishing it at a different time then They did and also part of the fence by the garage was not finished either. I told him at that point that the communication was horrible and non existent. And the turn around time was not accurate either. He said that they couldn't call everyone to tell them when things would be done- which I thought was a poor excuse since that is basic customer service. Once the fence was finished the quality was good but the lack of communication and customer service was horrible. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Our neighbors had the same experience and were also displeased.

Description of Work: A giant tree wiped out several sections of my wood fence. Sterling Fence has been doing my fence work for 25 years now. The people are great to work with, they do excellent work, and they are typically the most affordable.

Description of Work: Installed a chain link fence. They were great! :D Our fence looks great and we couldn't be happier.

Description of Work: Sterling Fence built a western red cedar picket fence for us. It was scalloped and beautiful!

Description of Work: BUILD A SIX-FOOT CEDAR PRIVACY FENCE AROUND OUR BACKYARD.

Description of Work: STERLING FENCE REPLACED PART OF A WOODEN PRIVACY FENCE THAT HAD BLOWN DOWN IN A STORM. THE FENCE IS IN MY BACKYARD.

Description of Work: BUILD A NEW SECTION OF CEDAR FENCING AND A GATE TO EXTEND A A FENCE THEY DID FOR ME A FEW YEARS AGO. FENCE WENT UP FAST--LOOKS OK AND IS STURDY ENOUGH. BUT WHEN YOU LOOK CLOSELY YOU CAN SEE THEY USED NAILS, NOT SCREWS, AND THE NAILS DON'T LINE UP; ALSO THE GATE DOESN'T CLOSE SMOOTHLY (EVEN AFTER THEY CAME BACK TO ADJUST). AND THEY LEFT THE YARD AROUND THE FENCE CHURNED UP.

Description of Work: BUILT A 104 FOOT LONG, 4 FOOT HIGH CEDAR FENCE WITH TWO GATES.

Description of Work: INSTALLED ABOUT 100 FT OF CHAIN LINK FENCING: THERE WERE MAJOR DELAYS IN GETTING THEM TO ACTUALLY REMOVE OLD FENCING AND PUT UP THE CHAIN LINK AFTER THEY INITIALLY INSTALLED THE POLES (ABOUT 4 WEEKS). THEY SAID THEY WERE BUSY AND CONTACTED THEM 3 TIMES TO GET A COMMITMENT ON WHEN THEY WOULD BE BACK. QUALITY WAS ABOUT 99% ONCE THEY FINISHED IT.

Description of Work: INSTALL APPROX. 40-FOOT-WIDE PRIVACY FENCE--6 WESTERN RED CEDAR FENCE, FRAMED, WITH CAPS.

Description of Work: I HIRED STERLING FENCE ON JULY 16 AND I WAS TOLD THEY WERE 3-4 WEEKS OUT ON THEIR WORK. THEY FINALLY STARTED BY PUTTING IN THE POLES ON AUGUST 20 AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS. THEY INSTALLED ONE OF THE POLES IN THE WRONG PLACE AND THEY CUT THE PHONE WIRES SO QWEST HAD TO COME OUT EVEN THOUGH THE YARD WAS MARKED. I CALLED THE NEXT MORNING TO INFORM THEM THAT THE POLE NEEDED TO BE SWITCHED AND HERE IT IS AUGUST 26 AND STILL NO RESPONSE. THIS IS A SMALL JOB BECAUSE IT IS ONLY ONE SIDE OF A YARD AND TO CONNECT BOTH SIDES TO THE HOUSE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.
