Sterling Fence

The sales person was very easy to work with. He gave me options for material and made the set up process for a fence replacement very easy. The installers took out the old fence and replaced it within one day. They did a wonderful job and adjusted well since an additional section had to be added on. I had to call them back out a few times for adjustments to the door and to smash and remove concrete footings from the previous fence posts. One of the bottom panels was dented from packing and they said it will be replaced after they order it. Their pricing was right in the middle of other quotes and their customer service is really good. Took them a while to come out the first time, but the second time it was within the next few days. Sterling always told me to call back if there are any future issues. It is also good to send them an email with any pictures and to explain the situation for your and their records if you need any follow up. I am very happy with their service and pricing.

3rd times a charm? It only took +2 weeks for them to get it right for what was said to be a 3 day job, after explaining it to the sales guy from the get go exactly what I wanted he assured me they could do it, therefore I signed the dotted line. After repeatedly explaining to everyone numerous times that it isn't how I asked they continued to reassure me it will end up the way I wanted. There is zero communication between the office and the crew. After the one of the "re-do" they decided they were going to put the fence up how they wanted. The Dan or Doug guy assured me they would check in before moving forward after the first time they screwed it up to be sure everything was correct, chalk that one up as a no call no show. It wasn't until I finally was at my limit of the circus I gave them one last opportunity to get it right before I sent them packing. I had to personally leave work to explain to the crew how it was suppose to be. In the end headache after headache they finally got it right. Now rewind back to day one, they damaged my siding and have yet to take corrective action in repairing it. The only communication in regards to the damage was the initial call stating "we damaged your siding" anything beyond that is myself reaching out asking about when they are going to repair it. The siding contractor sent an estimate to the office and nothing but crickets on their end. I ask about it and they ask me to send them a picture of the estimate? Really? How about you call my siding contractor and get it handled yourself, you have his number. "0" stars I definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. by far my worst experience dealing with this company and it still isn't over with.

This is an update on an earlier review. This would've been 5 stars if it weren't for the shenanigans (or just mistakes? I don't know) with the final bill. The fence looks great (it was installed a few weeks ago), it was installed when the company said they would, and very carefully around all the sprinkler systems and cables and lines and stuff. Then the final bill arrived, and it was quite a bit higher than expected, and the reasoning seemed unbelievable. Luckily, the company was willing to look into it and discovered that in fact the bill should have been just a little bit higher, not a lot higher. So, if you are going to hire them, they will do a good job, but if the final bill looks suspiciously high, do question it, as mistakes/carelessness can happen. What matters is that in the end, they corrected it.

The Sales person came out and was very professional and explained what we were looking at as for materials and time frame to get the job done. After that there was no communication. Anything I needed to find out, I always had to initiate the conversation. I was told (by the salesman) that there was going to be a specific time that it would be done and that was not true. It took them 3 weeks from start to finish to finish the fence. This was only after I had to call them and push them to come out and finish. The end product fine if you don't mind having to hound people to do their job. I called after the fact and explained everything they refused to give me any sort of discount or anything. they kept saying they were going to call back and they never did. VERY POOR Customer service. I will make sure that I let everyone know how poor they their job!

Sterling Fence installed a privacy fence for my new home. The sales representative was knowledgeable and courteous. The men who installed the fence did an amazing job. The fence is absolutely beautiful! I would highly recommend this company.

*Good experience with salesman Jeff. He helped me find my property lines. *The price was attractive and lower than competitors. *It took 5 weeks from down payment to completion. *Fence post install was done correct. *A comcast line was cut being missed by marking, but nobody informed me of it as a courtesy. *The quality of cedar materials and hardware was good. *Good workmanship on construction. *Installers were polite and asked me if I had questions. I let them play loud music but nobody asked if it was OK first. *No proactive communication after sale. *No advanced estimated schedule provided of work completion. *Calls and inquiries were accepted and returned as expected. *Need to work on some better communication and being more attentive to the customer. *I did end up with a very nice fence I wanted for a good price after a long wait of wondering if they still remembered me. The bottom line is that it if I had to do it again I would take the higher competitor bid on the hope they were more customer focused.

Dan came promptly to give an estimate. The work was scheduled in a timely fashion and was completed quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Sterling to anyone.

They did a great job. Got to it earlier than they had thought, and finished quickly doing an excellent job all the way.

Sterling did a great job assessing and addressing the problem, as well as replacing old posts with cracked footings. They replaced a total of 9 posts and repaired a gate panel. The final result looks very good.

Went great. Looks terrific. Company is easy to work with. Installers are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient.

After multiple attempts to request an estimate, I finally called their office again and they agreed to send someone out the next Friday @ 5:00. Fast-forward to Friday @ 3:00: I get a phone call from this provider stating they would have to cancel the appointment. When I asked why, they stated that "it just wasn't going to work out." They then stated that they would contact me right away on Monday to set up a new appointment, which, of course, they never did. My job ended up costing $4000+ from a different provider, so kudos to Sterling if they have enough work to blow off a job of that size.

It went great. I ordered the gate on a tuesday. They told me it would take a week to 10 days. 7 days later they called came out the next day and did the installation. Trouble free. It was a rare experience for me to have a home improvement go so smoothly.

They did a great job! They were very professional and courteous, and their pricing was very competitive. They set the poles on the first day and then stretched the fencing two days later. It looks great and I'd definitely recommend them!

Perfectly. Jill, George, Bill and Alan were always responsive and polite. I was told what had to be done, how they were going to do it and what my role was. They were interested in my ideas and gave me good advice. The end result exceeds my expectations.

The office was curteous and concerned. They asked politely if it would be ok if they waited until Monday. I wasn't in any hurry and said that was fine. Monday morning at 10 AM a workman came out and fixed the gate. I could tell he was very experienced. He showed me how I could adjust it needed adjustment in the future, Thank you Sterling Fence

Sterling Fence Inc did an excellent job. They were so helpful and knowledgeable about what material to use and where to install it. My yard was complicated. The salesman that came out was very honest and really knew what he was talking about, The installation went just the way he described that it would, Very much trouble free. Great value.

Called and they sent someone out to do a walk thru within 2 days. They arrived on time and were professional. Took measurements, made some suggestions and then left and said I would have an estimate by email within a day or two. Having not received the estimate in a couple of days I sent an email requesting the estimate be sent. They replied I would have the estimate later that day. That was two plus weeks ago and i have never received anything. I have now hired a more responsive contractor.

The first time the gate enlargement was too small to enable equipment to pass through. When I brought this to Sterling's attention, they promptly enlarged the opening to accomodate my need..

Every time they come, the post goes back to leaning a few months later. It is obviously poor construction, and I am not interested in having them back to try and fix it again. There is a second post that has started to tip also.

He called after the fence was already installed by another company! I really liked the salesman and was impressed with hi. He gave the best impression out of all 3 estimates.

Dan came out and provided an estimate; he was prompt and extremely knowledgeable and said that they could probably start the work in about two weeks. I gave a deposit, but I could never get a committed start date from them; after trying to get a start date for about five weeks, I cancelled the job. Dan refunded my deposit in about a week.

Sterling Fence helped me with how much material I would need. The quality of the fencing material was great and the price was reasonable. The people in the office were very professional and curtious. The people who helped me load the material were helpful. I would use the company again.

I called Sterling Fence to get a quote on fencing. The lady in the office was very helpful. She gate me a quote over the phone. I also called her back with different ideas and she was more than happy to help and answer any questions we had. I arranged for a quote. A salesman came out. Was very professional and helped us choose the right fence for us. We signed the agreement and within two weeks there were there setting the post and few days after that we had a beautiful fence installed. The quality of the wood fence was great and it was the best looking fence on our block. I would use them for any fencing needs I have in the future and would recommend them to family and friends.
