The licensed Applicator was on time discussed specifics about my house and completed the application of the pest control. She was polite in our conversation and knowledgeable so as to answer the questions I had. The whole experience was a good one. The company itself seems to run on the model of pricing everything high and giving huge discounts for first time application or packages. I am not a fan of this business practice because I have to be knowledgeable about the field and what things should cost so I can make sure I get a fair price. I prefer businesses that have a sensible price point and possibly offer small discounts to first time buyers or packages. When a company offers 50% off or more you know that they overprice on purpose. Also, the rep I talked to on the phone said his shift was over in 10 minutes so he was rushed and would give me this amazing discount just so he could get out on time. Whether he was actually done with his shift or not it was still a sales tactic.

She was prompt and asked to make sure she took care of all of our needs, as well as asked how things have been since their last visit. When I told her we had some wasp nests forming again, she made sure to take care of all of them and spray according to the contract. She was polite and efficient and we are so glad we decided to use them! Ever since the first treatment, we have not had issues with any of the pests we had been seeing prior to the first visit.

We really appreciate Insight. After we bought our home we discovered an ant issue that had not been disclosed in the sale process. We don't know how long the previous owner let it go but Insight cleared the problem right up! We signed up for continued quarterly service. We recently had our technician out (Halley) for some spiders upstairs. My husband was in bed with a migraine, our 10 year old was downstairs resting due to a recent concussion and my 8 month old was upstairs napping. Hally was able to take care of our entire service without disturbing anyone! A miracle. I really appreciated their continued service.

Our technician came on time, he even called if he could come a 1/2 hour earlier, which worked out better for us. He was polite and informative to our questions. He spent extra time on our ant problem outside, using a few products. Looking forward to them dissappearing. This company seems very professional and friendly.

Brandon arrived right on time, was extremely professional, polite and courteous. He had extensive knowledge, and explained what he was doing and why every step of the way. Between the spiders, ants, and centipedes we were tired of creepy crawlies! My daughter and I were both bit by centipedes (my daughter’s was on her cheek) and my kitchen was under siege from huge ants…I had enough! I really wanted an environmentally friendly pest control and called Insight and signed up for a full year service. Our tech Zach Weidman was on time and very courteous. He asked about my issues, explained his plan and went to work! Since the visit I have not seen any ants and have found several centipedes in the traps! The used a dry material which i preferred rather than spraying all over. They did sweep out the nests. We will see how it works, but technician was very clear in what he was doing and why. They had prices, then discounted some they said, not sure about all this, and i was able to say that I did not want to sign recurring contract.. just for a year.. Tech, Tommy, was very thorough. So all good so far,

My technician Tyler was very kind and incredibly knowledgeable. He treated and informed me of everything I did. I'm excited to now say that we have used their mosquito service and it is great, it has reduced the mosquitos dramatically in our very wooded backyard.
Description of Work: We had carpenter ants in our home, nothing crazy but just a nuisance. We had Insight come out to treat once a young college student knocked on our door. He was polite but we where nervous to buy from a door to door salesman. I'm glad we did. When they came out they found nice and box elder bugs, luckily, they treated for them and did not charge me more. This service is great and I'm great-full I found a trustworthy company.

We signed up for quarterly service and this is our 5th quarter. I knew that they were supposed to come out in May, but I wasn't sure when (they are always good about making appointments for me so I don't have to think about it). I e-mailed them on Friday 5/6 after hours asking them to move up my date since I saw the start of a hornet's nest. Becca Younce e-mailed me back late on Monday afternoon and said that they could move up my appointment to Tuesday 5/10 or Monday 5/16. I didn't see the message until Tuesday morning, and e-mailed back asking if they could still come today. She said she put me down for the 3:30-5:30 slot. Halley Gruber and another woman (assuming trainee) came right around 4 PM and I showed them the nests. Halley came in and treated for the ants, while the other woman started treating the hornets. Halley has treated my house one other time and she was just as friendly today as then. She takes the time to answer all my questions and never seems annoyed with me (I ask a lot of questions). She told me they found one more nest than what I saw and that some of the hornets actually came out right by my front door (it is rainy today so they were looking for a cool, dark place). We signed up last year and got a really good deal on their services, but I would definitely recommend them to friends and family looking for pest control no matter the price. They come out once a quarter and treat for all types of things. We moved in last year and had hornets and carpenter ants, the ants haven't been spotted this year and we are trying to keep treating the house so the hornets stay away too. Before we found (sales person walking around our neighborhood, usually we shy away, thank goodness we didn't) Insight, we used another pest removal company for the ants and wasps, and they came back within a month. Since having Insight Pest Solutions, the carpenter ants haven't been back, I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of spiders, and the hornets keep finding new places on my eaves, but they treat them and get rid of them quickly. All in all, we are very pleased with Insight - the company, the product, and all of their employees!

The main reason for the visit was a scheduled quarterly treatment for insects. I explained that I found a dead mouse in my home a couple months earlier and thought I had resolved the access point. After she completed her work, the technician explained the work she had completed. This included checking for any evidence of additional mouse activity and looking for any possible access points around the perimeter of my home. She filled some potential areas with steel wool. She also put some sticky traps in the area that mice would most likely be any others had gained access. I was satisfied that the technician listened to my concerns, tool appropriate action, and provided a good explanation of the work that was done.

It seemed to have gone well, I was outside when the technician arrived, the technician was dressed in a uniform that identified them as an associate of Insight, she introduced herself and explained what she would be doing today and answered my questions. She was polite and professional and seemed to have done what she said would be done in this visit.
Description of Work: This was the second application in a quarterly service that I signed up for. It consisted of spot application of pesticide where signs of spiders were found, application of pesticide around the exterior foundation of my home and around a 10 foot perimeter of my yard.

I was hopeful that their treatments would work but it hasn't. I used them for just shy of 6 months and got the last 3 months free because of how many issues I had after they treated. To get them out to retreat is not easy, it usually took 3 calls. I don't recommend them.

Service Technician was 15+ minutes late, beyond the 2 hr window we had been given. We tried to call the office to see where they were, but were not able to speak to a live person, and the office was not yet closed. Technician was very apologetic and nice when he did show up. The door to door salesman that we purchases this from, took notes on what problems we wanted treated, and the technician had no knowledge of this. Salesman did not tell us that we would be tied into a year long contract, and pay $99 for each service call. We found this out after we received the agreement email. I also asked about Japanese beetles, and was told they would spray the lawn for that. The technician told me they do not do that. Poor communication or training of salespeople. I am still seeing some evidence of spiders(new webs), so if this continues I will call to have them re-treat. Not sure if I would use them again. Will have to see how it works after a few months. Update: Since writing this review I have been contacted by the company and told that I could get out of the contract without paying additional cancellation fees because their companies policies had been misrepresented by the salesman.

I live in a gated community that does not accept door to door solicitors and I might add that the city of Eden Prairie requires permits for solicitors, Insight has no permits. I went against my better judgement and did a one year deal with Insight mainly because they caught me at a good time. I've got a lot of webs up high that needed to come down (still do) and the man came across as being somewhat professional and the price (discounted) was acceptable. So on the same day, because they were in the neighborhood they were able to service my house. Spent about 45 minutes doing the job inside and out and left. Later I'm out back with my dogs and notice that all of the wasp nest that the tech knocked down from under our deck, about a dozen or so, were left on the patio ground. He didn't pick them up, he left them (?). I've been in the service business for almost forty years. You make a mess, you clean it up. So theres a red flag. Go to do some research on Insight, a lot of bad reviews, especially on Angie. I just cancelled them a few minutes ago. See how that goes. The girl that I talked to (N. Carolina) was really interested, maybe a bit surprised when I told her about all of the bad reviews that Insight has received (with no rebuttal). All I can say is buyer-beware. It has been my experience with these nation-wide pop-ups that all though everything looks good on the outside, it's the inside that is a mess. Usually these companies are more concerned about sales then the product itself. Get in, get out. Good luck.

A college age guy came to my home selling pest control. I usually never purchase from companies going door to door, but since I was already thinking of hiring someone for pest control, I went ahead and scheduled them. They do quarterly treatments. We are rural, so we had quite a few spiders in the basement and I had been seeing a singer carpenter ant in my bathroom (one every day). They came and sprayed (I wasn't home when they started, my son saw them and then I arrived and talked to them before they left.) Side note - the guy that came to our door suggested tipping the technician. When I went to tip him, he said it wasn't necessary, but I suggested he take the tip. We were told that for the next few weeks we would see a few more bugs while the product worked. We did see a few more ants, but no problem. We then went out of town for two weeks and had a friend stay at our home. When we arrived home, we were horrified. Our bathroom had several hundred ant carcasses. Our bedroom carpet also had several hundred ant carcasses on it. You couldn't walk anywhere without stepping on a carcass. We called our friend that had stayed at our home and he confirmed that he used a different bathroom because to all the ants. I was mortified that my house guest had such a problem. I called Insight and was told this was normal and that meant the product was working. Well, things only got worse. I routinely saw 4 or more ants in my bathroom anytime I went in there. I discovered they love Listerine. I would see a dozen around a listerine ring. They also love my toothbrush charger and I have seen 14 of them crowded around it. One day I went to take my toothbrush off the charger and there were three dead ants squished under my toothbrush. Sounds bad? It gets worse. I woke up one morning to an any scurrying across my face. The next day, my husband rolled over in bed and was bit by a carpenter ant. We now see them in our bed daily. Two last night, so I now sleep in our family room. I called Insight today and said they either get someone out here by 10 or give me my money back. They said they were booked and after "trying really hard" they could get someone out tomorrow. I told them I then wanted my money back. She said she couldn't do that. I then asked repeatedly to talk to her manager. Her manager said they were booked solid and couldn't get there. I asked for my my money back. She transferred me to someone else. After being on hold a long time, they said someone would be here in 10 minutes. It took him over an hour to get here, but it is 10:02 and he arrived. He is spraying all over my home again...missed my closet and didn't attempt my ceiling. I failed to mention that we have spiders again. I'm not sure if they are cellar spiders or brown recluse (I hear brown recluse eat dead bugs...) I'll post after another week and let you know if the problem is resolved. I thought it was interesting that their name is Insight since it make the ants IN my SIGHT! When the technician came to spray again, he sprayed my bedroom and bathroom. He went to spray more areas. I had to get ready for work, so I didn't see if he sprayed everything or just the areas I told him we were seeing ants. I did show him the hole where the ants were coming from. He said he would put some bait down, but unless he uses a different spray I didn't notice, I saw no bait. I asked him to look at some droppings we had outside and he gave me professional advice about what critter he thought they were. It only took him about 30 minutes to respray our home. Considering the size, I doubt he sprayed it all. When he finished inside, I was going to ask him to spray a huge ant hill outside by our front door. When he finished, he left without saying anything (or asking me to sign anything). Sp, the outside ants are alive and well. After the spray, we saw about 12 ants all over our bathroom, but by day 3 there are no ants. So happy the ant invasion is done!!! When my cleaning lady came 3 days after the spraying, I asked her not to clean several inches from the edge in the bathroom so the spray would;t be wiped away. Maybe that's what made the difference this time (maybe last time the spray was cleaned up so it wasn't killing the ants.) I am so happy and relieved I see ho ants, but I will hire someone else next time.

I was very impressed with the thoroughness and how very organized a process it was.
Description of Work: this was the first of four visits which will be provided over the next year to provide a full annual pest control. Kattie was very thorough and quite insightful as she explained what she was doing, how the various products used in the treatment work. She pointed out certain areas where mice and squirrels have penetrated my premise and how to seal those points of entry. This year's weather has brought seemingly extra wasps, spiders, & what appears to be an extremely large amounts of boxelder bugs. Mice which usually do not appear to be a problem until the fall have appeared so there was plenty for them to go after. The gutters and eves were cleaned of cobwebs and dusted with a chemical to reduce pests as well as perimeter protection barriers created using a dry granular mixture as well as a liquid spray.
