While the chimney sweep was fine and he was friendly, they tried to sell additional services.

The rep from the company informed me that we were out of his service area. He was very nice to help me, he went the extra mile and helped me find some possible companies to use.

The previous home owners had told me they didn't use the upstairs fireplace and during the heavy rains in June, I got some water in by the chimney. I saw the Angies List deal and had Blue Sky come out and inspect to know if I could use the fireplaces and help determine where the leak was coming in. He worked very closely with me in determining that the fireplaces are ok to use and some new caps and a better flashing would help. While he was here, he said he could also apply similar flashing around 3 skylights that leaked. My house was built in the 50's and he even did research on the fireplace codes back at the time the house was built because my chimney was a bit unusual and he wanted to make sure it was to the older code before he recommended any "re-lining" because it was different than code today. He determined it was to code and no repairs needed to the flue. He was able to schedule the repairs within the week but the chimney flues were special sizes and had to be ordered. He sent me several options and prices to let me pick what I wanted. It took a couple of weeks to order and then have them installed. The workmanship was great, the time he took to take pictures and send me pictures so I knew my options and how his installation was done. There was some delay in replacing of my caps due to the fact they had to be ordered special and we had so much rain in June that he had many urgent repairs for people. I am thankful that he prioritizes repairs to seal up leaks to other installations etc...

Our chimney looks great and now we don't have to worry about it for safety or aesthetic reasons. Provider was great.

They did an excellent jog based on all the work that was done. The chimney sweep was very careful to insure areas in front of and around the fireplace opening were covered. He did a thorough cleaning and did an excellent job of cleaning up. The flat surface at the top of the exterior chimney was cracked. The cracks were sealed and then a special mortar was applied to create a new exterior surface that sealed the entire chimney cap area. The roof area at the base of the chimney and the chimney itself was all covered and protected. The quality of this work was excellent. The gaps at the front of both fireplace flues were filled with a heat resistant mortar. All of the above work was expertly done. I would definitely recommend Blue Sky Chimney Sweeps for chimney cleaning and mortar repair.

It turned out very well. They recapped my chimney, which was done in a day. There was a delay in scheduling, and the first appointment they didn't keep. The work looks really good. I asked them for an additional quote and they've not gotten back to me.

They told me that it wasn’t a problem two months and they call me today and told me that they are not honoring the deal. But the person that did my sight visit isn’t there anymore.

I purchased a Big Deal and when I called to schedule the appointment the manager was very nice and told me that the guy to do the masonry work was no longer able to do the job. He was very kind. He also said that he would give me a discount if I needed and cheminy sweeps or repairs done.

Dave and his team are outstanding. Great service from start to finish beginning with the estimate process and concluding with a thorough clean-up. They explained the job at every step and have an outstanding eye for detail. They also take great pride In their work and stand behind their finished product. Highly recommend!

It turned out really good. He showed us all the damage with pictures before any repair work was made. He saved us from some other company charging us for work that didn’t need to be done quite just yet.

Hired Blue Sky after purchasing an Angie's List Deal. Met Dave the owner, who did the work. He was very professional, and left the work area clean. He also answered a few fireplace and chimney related questions.

Everything went very well. Blue Sky cleaned the chimney on the day of our appointment. The technician, Dave, was prompt and pleasant. I have two wood-burning fireplaces, but I use one much more often than the other. Dave was honest and told me that only the fireplace we use the most needed cleaning. He also did a safety check, and determined that the repairs were needed. Dave was back in less than a week and did the repairs. I knew in advance how much the repairs would cost, and I received a discount on the masonry work, which was part of the "Big Deal." 'I was very pleased with Blue Sky Chimney's work. I will definitely use them again and would recommend the company to anyone needing that service.

This was our first time using Blue Sky. Chose it based on an Angie Deal and looked at recommendations before deciding. Was able to schedule online which was great because I could do it on the weekend. Dave was prompt, neat and courteous. We really appreciated the photographs of the deterioration he saw up on the roof because I would not go up there myself. We got an estimate for the repairs/maintenance he recommended and requested that he return to do that work also. He was back the following week and was able to do the brick replacement and sealing work in one afternoon. He offered to take "after" photographs but we declined. The gentleman was on time- actually early. Did a thorough inspection with pictures. Showed me some areas that needed further repair, but did not pressure me into completing the repairs that day or with him. Did a good cleaning, left no mess. Would use again.
