Description of Work: We initially had them clean and check our chimney. They did a very good job and informed us that we needed a complete new chimney. The last time we had the chimney cleaned was 3 years earlier and were told that it needed some work done but never got around to having it done. We compared the photos showing a lot more deterioration had occurred so were confidante that we did need it replaced. We happened to be out of town when they were there to do the job. All materials were picked up and the appearance of the new chimney looks very good. It looks very much like the original chimney only nicer. They were also very nice about allowing us to complete the payment in a couple of installments as well. I would definitely recommend this company.

We found a fire code violation with the chimney liner that made it unsafe for use so we installed a stainless steel liner that makes it fully functional for your buyers. Well done to you! Note to Home buyers and Sellers: Make sure that you have the chimney fully checked by a Chimney Safety Institute of America certified company like Blue Sky beforehand! A fireplace can generate heat up to 1100° so it's vital to have it professionally inspected to ensure it's fully and properly working! Thanks again and good luck to you!

Description of Work: Purchased masonry work through one of the Big Deals. The add was for a chimney company but said they did other masonry work as well, which was what I needed. Company came out to estimate the job, told me that they messed up the Angie's List ad, it was supposed to be for chimneys only, not all masonry work, but said they would honor it. Also let me know they were very busy and it would be a few weeks to get going on the work. They were upfront, so this was fine with me. A few weeks have now passed and I just received an email from them saying there was a change in the company and they now only do chimney work, and would not be able to do the job. Fortunately I had 1 day left to get my refund. So far I've tried to 2 "Big Deals" with Angie's List and neither has worked out. Not impressed.
