They have been very punctual, have explained what work was needed and what they were doing very thoroughly and understandably, have been extremely neat in their work and any cleanup, and have been very persistent in making sure our goals for an acceptable radon level are met. Our house has a small unfinished area and required 3 different collection points in the sub-floor to achieve a radon level of 1 pC/L. Andrew was true to his word that they would return as needed to achieve an acceptable level. His initial bid was very reasonable and, true to his guarantee, there were no additional charges for the return visits to add the needed number of collection points. We would highly recommended A1 Radon Services to anyone needing radon remediation in their home.

A1 was excellent. There may be others out there who perform the identical service for the identical price, but dealing with Andrew Cortigan was a pleasure. We did a long-term test a couple of years ago which came back borderline for needing mitigation. I retested with a short-term test and found the basement to be 4.1 and the main level 3.8. Since system has been put in, we're at 1.6 in the basement, well under 2 which is recommended. The electrician that Andrew subcontracts was also extremely professional. People, TEST YOUR HOMES and don't mess around with risking high levels of radon. I educated myself a lot about this, and MN is one of the highest radon areas in the country.

I was nervous and a wee bit scared to see a high radon reading on my system. I sent pictures to Andrew around 7:30am asking if I should be concerned. He called within five minutes, asked a few questions, and told me he would be over soon. I was blown away by his responsiveness and care. He kept me posted on his findings (I went to work) and sent me pictures. I would definitely recommend Andrew and will continue to use his services!

The whole process, starting from initial consultation until the installation was finished, went very well. They are truly professional who are proud of their work and want to please customers. The mitigation system reduced the 7-day average Radon reading in my basement from 6.2 (too high) to 0.2 (same as outside air). It works! Satisfied customer. Highly recommended.

It was excellent! They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a Radon system. When we had an issue after the fact due to a new roof being put on, they went out of there way to stop by and take a look to make sure everything was still functioning properly and fix the issue the roofers caused.

Andrew was extremely responsive to my emails and phone calls. The work was done on the date and time scheduled. They had to get into a crawl space to do some of the work, which was sealed up with drywall and insulation. They opened up the crawl space, and sealed it back up when they were done. Went from a 7.1 radon level to 1.2 radon level post-mitigation. They were not the cheapest quote I received for radon mitigation, but they did a great job and really worked with me to find a spot on the house where the mitigation pipe would be the most unobtrusive. The work was scheduled 1 week after we signed the work order. Took them half a day to complete the work.

Needed to have my home mitigated and my realtor had referred me to A1 Radon. They were very responsive in emails and always on time for appointments. They also did get the mitigation level down to a 1.7 without any cosmetic issues. I have referred them to other friends.

Stellar experience. Andrew (and A1 Radon services) installed a drain tile depressurization in line fan system. He truly deserves top marks on all categories. Responsiveness: Called me a few hours after a query through Angies and from there responded to emails almost immediately without exception. Punctuality: Showed on time for both evaluation and installation. Professionalism: Truly excellent, responded to all of my (at times overly nuanced) questions with straight forward, reassuring answers. He presents his company and himself professionally in every way, Quality: I seriously doubt anyone could have done a better job. Clean, installation, from utility area in the garage and then through the garage roof. We spent a bit of time discussing the route and installation was exactly as described. Moreover, a lot of little extras are included as standard; our floor edges were sealed, manometry device, quality appearance of pipe exiting the rood, and our sump pump covered modified (and sealed). The slickest thing was his placing the fan unit in the rafters rather than the basement. This required some electrical but was worth it 100x over. Price: He hit my expected mark and we didnt even get a second bid, certainly more than fair for the end product. We have a digital detector. Our levels ranged from 3.5-7.5, averaging above 4 just recently, up from the under 4 we had when we moved in. Two days after installation, the 24h reading was 0.02. Also, I might be over analyzing, but the finished basement smells fresher. In the end, if you need mitigation, save yourself time and set up a meeting with Andrew.

We are very happy with the mitigation process through A1 Radon Services. Andrew and his partner Rob were both very kind, knowledgeable and very helpful for me to understand how the system works. They were on time, responded phone calls promptly, cleaned up any mess. Their quote was higher than the other's mainly because of extra electrical work, but I applied the other bidder's idea (putting fan in our garage in visible which I prefer, but hiding in attic). They quoted with better performing fan(higher CFM) than the other's. My new radon level is 0.3 which is excellent, from 6.2. I would highly recommend them. And also strongly recommend to have second opinion with the competitor, and ask them to come to the site for estimation.

Pretty much the standard experience -- people showed up, punched a hole in my cellar wall, put in a big honking plastic thingy on the side of my house, cleaned up, and left. The crew was on time, the cleanup was properly done, everyone was well-mannered, and the follow up test showed successful de-radonization. It cost a bit more than I wanted to pay, but he was the lowest bid, and this is really vanilla work.

Very well - they responded quickly, guided me through checks I could do myself in case it was an easy fix, offered to come and check it out themselves, and replaced the fan right away once it was determined that was the issue. No hassle, no delay. Just got it done.

Installing the system was a bit of a challenge in our thirty year old custom built house, but Andy found a great solution. He and Rob completed the work in about three hours. Our followup test results are dramatically lower. I am very pleased with the work.
