Went great. A very good value and installation was very professionally carried out. Our post mitigation reading was 0.8 which was more than a fourfold decrease to our previous readings.

Andrew and Rob are awesome! They put a lot of effort and care into getting our levels from 6.4 to 0.6 over the course of three visits and all of the work was included in the original quote! They are both friendly and made the process very easy. Highly recommend!

The initial install went very well. They answered our questions and worked with us to create an installation that best utilized the existing space in a small unfinished room. The install went well as they worked through the ceiling exiting into the garage and tucked the exhaust pipes conveniently in a corner that lead to the attic where it was vented to the back side of the roof as they listened and worked with us on multiple options. We were very happy with the way the system blended in to our limited space. . We didn't want a fan and piping on the exterior of the house that would vent to the front of the roof. After we tested, the levels were still above 4.0. Andrew did not hesitate to return and added a larger fan. Subsequently, they returned two additional times to draw from 2 other suctions points. It became obvious that we must have a center plate blocking suction from the finished side of the basement. Andrew decided to draw a suction point from the other side of the center plate and we have successfully reached a current level of 1.7. Throughout the process, Andrew and Rob were committed to making the system work. Andrew was always professional and quickly responded to my e-mails or phone calls. I would highly recommend them. They definitely honor their guarantee to satisfaction at no additional cost and stand behind their work .

Rob and Andrew from A1 Radon Services are excellent service providers if you need radon mitigation services. Rob actually spent about 45 minutes at house to create an estimate since we had a very unique layout that made the install more challenging. They were on time and got the job done exactly as they described. Within 24 hours our levels went down from over 8 to under 1. These guys are the best!

A1 Radon Services was the 3rd company that we worked with for our Rosemount house and the only one who was able to solve the problem. The house was built in 1978 and did not have drain tile inside the basement footings making it hard to properly remove the radon. A1 Radon worked with me to investigate and eventually find the radon hotspot. Once found, they added the required suction points and now our levels are within safe levels. They were very easy to work with and the cost was reasonable considering the number of visits required.

Very impressed! Our radon levels were stubborn - it took 6 visits to get the numbers down below 2.0. We were never charged above the initial cost and the service was very professional and timely. Highly recommend!

I live in Maple Grove and my radon levels were over 12.3 which I found by completing a radon test from Air Chek. I contacted Andrew at A1 based on the wonderful reviews I was able to find online. I contacted Andrew through Angies List and he responded within 24 hours and had a quote for me within a couple hours of speaking with him. He fit me into his schedule and was at my home a couple of weeks later to do the work. Upon arriving I felt very comfortable as Andrew and his co-worker were very conscience of the current Covid-19 fears. They wore masks the entire time and kept everything clean and organized. They installed the system in about 2 hours which included having an electrician come in and wire up the fan in the attic space above my garage. The electrician Andrew uses was very professional and did a fantastic job keeping everything safe, secure and clean in the wiring. The quote I received from Andrew was spot on and less than the other 2 companies I reached out to. I waited a couple of weeks and then used the 2 Air Chek tests that Andrew had left behind for me to use to check both levels of our house. The basement test came back at 2.7 and the upstairs came back at 1.5. This was during some of the coldest parts of the winter so the house was locked up tight with no windows open. I am so happy and feel so much safer in my home for not only myself but my family and pets. You cant put a price on piece of mind but if you could I believe Andrew delivered a great service with a low cost to my wallet. Thanks to Andrew and his team for a fantastic experience that started out with me being very scared of the high radon levels in my home.

Radon levels were over 7 at the new house we bought. Andrew installed a radon mitigation system and brought the levels down below 2.0. Andrew and co-worker were great to work with. They installed a standard system that they provided as estimate for up front. They provided 2 test kits to check the results after the work was done. When I screwed up the tests, they provided 2 more kits.

Requested quote from A1 and 2 other companies from angies list. Price wise A1 was comparable to with the other vendors. What I liked the most about A1 was how easy it was to get a quote, how fast the quote turned around and how professional Andrew was on the phone and responsive via text messaging. When it came time to do the work, he showed up promptly and wore a mask the entire time he was working, same with the electrician. They finished the job quickly with little to no disruption in the house, which was important while I was working from home.

We used Angie’s List’s bidding tool for the first time, and requested bids from five companies. Andrew Costigan from A1 Radon got back to us first - immediately with an email bid. Given all of A1’s positive reviews, we felt comfortable with A1 doing the work even though we hadn’t met them yet and they hadn’t come onsite to check things out before bidding. The day of the work, Andrew and another fellow showed up exactly on time to do the work just as they emailed that they would. We have a finished basement and had been worried that they’d have to run the tubing in our family room, but Andrew said they could do the work pretty much anywhere given the footprint of our house. I pointed out a small spot under and behind the stairs where the wall went up with some other mechanicals inside. Andrew looked and said that worked and immediately got down to work in the small space. They were done within two hours, were responsive to my questions, made no mess at all, and put in a the system that looks pretty good to us. They seemed like friendly, good, experienced, trustworthy professionals. Since there had been a snow storm the night before, the electrician they contract with needed to reschedule to two days later (instead of coming on the same day), since the electrician had been plowing all night the night before. Andrew seemed very worried / apologetic about this when he told me, but it was not a big deal for us. Andrew handled all of the rescheduling, and the electrician seemed great and even did some additional impromptu work of putting in a new outlet that we asked him about on the off-chance he had the time or interest, and he charged us a fair price for that additional work. Again, professional and focused on doing good work. No mess. Overall, it was a great experience. And a great relief to have finally put in a radon mitigation system that we’d been considering for a while. We have not used the follow-up test that Andrew gave us yet, since we are supposed to let the system run a week first, but we’re hoping / assuming we will get below the 3.7 pci score we had on the multi-month test results we received back immediately before purchasing this system.

I was super happy with the end result. Andrew and his crew came out in a timely fashion and they did an excellent job, they put the pipe in a convenient place in our cramped basement, and it looks good on the outside of the house as well. He readily responded to every email in a timely fashion and I was very happy with the price and everything about it!! When it comes down to life or death, which can happen with radon gas, for peace of mind you definitely can't go wrong with with A1.

I have a hobby where I spend two to five hours a day in our basement. I had been monitoring the radon levels in the basement for a number of years with one of those electronic monitors and occasionally a charcoal test kit. The levels had been hovering anywhere between 6.0 to 10.0. It would vary between the different seasons, even the weather conditions and so on. I kept telling myself being in the basement with these levels of radon is probably not a good idea. I called A1 Radon Services and talked with the owner. I explained my situation and went over the layout of our basement and house. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was needed. He gave me a fair price and we set up a time for the installation. I had a number of questions before the installation and each time I emailed or called, the owner returned a call or email within a short period of time and answered all my questions. Installation day arrived and the owner and his employee showed up right on time. They looked my basement over and we discussed everything they were going to do. They went to work and had my system up and running within a few hours. Everything was cleaned up nicely after the installation. I check my radon levels pretty much weekly with my electronic monitor. Since my system was installed the levels now hover around 0.5 to 0.7 which I pretty much consider to be nothing. The system is very quiet and can hardly hear it running even standing next to it outside. I figure the operation cost is $5 to $6 a month for electricity. If you have children at home and your family is being exposed to radon, I now believe these radon reduction systems are a must have in your house. This installation was money well spent and I should have done this years ago.

A1 did an excellent job putting in our radon system. The crew were professional and did outstanding work. They were prompt and explained every detail at what had to be done. A Great Job!

Communication: Andrew Costigan, the principal at A1, has customer service figured out. He works as a contractor in a field that deals with health and safety, and he very courteously and knowledgeably fields questions from anxious customers. I always got a prompt response. Installation: I called at the beginning of October, and we were able to get the installation set for mid-October. It was a two-person install (Andrew did the inside work himself), and it went very smoothly and quickly. The house was respected and the work space was clean. Andrew explained what the normal operating state of the system was, so in case of any malfunction we could address it immediately ourselves or by calling A1. Results: Andrew provided a mail-in charcoal test that confirmed significant reduction of radon from a closed basement system. The system began working immediately. Confirmed additionally by continuous monitoring device, Corentium by AirThings. And the charcoal test confirmed the accuracy. Price: About $1600, well worth it for professionalism of crew and efficacy of installed system. We may need to add interior drain tile system later to basement; Andrew said this was not difficult to work around. Will absolutely call again if needed.

I highly recommend A1 for radon mitigation! They did an excellent job and I was very satisfied with both the installation and the results. Andrew was very professional, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive in his communication. Andrew and Rob installed a drain tile depressurization system, which was vented thru the attached garage roof. The fan was located in the garage attic, which required electrical work by their sub-contractor Brothers Electric. The installation took about 2 hours, whereas the electrical work was completed the next day in about an hour. A1 provided a short-term radon test for post-mitigation testing. My basement radon level went from 4.7 to 0.6 pCi/L.

I'm glad I hired A1 Radon Services. Both Andrew and Rob were really knowledgeable and helpful. Rob came to the house in advance and we talked about various options for routing the pipe. We were able to schedule an installation date in only a week, earlier than they had anticipated. Andrew and Rob arrived and quickly got to work, finishing in three or four hours. They drilled into the concrete of my basement and ran the pipe through a crawl space and through the garage, venting through the garage roof. They were able to use an existing outlet to power the fan, so no electrical work was needed, thus saving me almost $300. They demonstrated that they knew what they were doing by their comments on various types of fans and on installation (some companies install the vent too close to windows). I had called three other companies. One was quite arrogant, and also said that my sealed crawlspace would have to be resealed. I'm glad I called A1. My radon reading went from 6.5 pCi/L to 1.2 pCi/L.
