Our upstairs bathroom shower has ran slow for years and we never did anything about it until now (selling our home). The issue was brought up in a home inspection and it needed to be fixed, with no experience in plumbing I had no idea where to start, So I went to Angie's list and began contacting people. Paul from Kal's Plumbing called me within minutes of an email request through Angie's list, he stated that he was in the area and could pop in between jobs and take a look. Paul arrived and quickly began trouble shooting he made a comment that he had another job to get to in the afternoon but he was going to do his best to fix this. Keep in mind I had made the mistake and googled possible issues and I was prepared for the worst 100 year old home could only warrant the worst outcome I was thinking to myself. Paul continued to work on the shower and within 20 mins he had a solution that required a trip to the hardware store. He left and came back took one more look before adding the parts he had just retrieved and he saw something way back in the pipe that looked like a piece of solder or something. He took a few minutes to extract the debris and said I think that was it and we may not even need the parts anymore, sure enough he was right problem solved! What a relief! Paul was awesome the entire time he was calm and professional the entire time he even took the time re-caulk the fixtures and cleaned up after he was done, in my opinion went above and beyond, I have never had such great service before, I am a customer for life...... Thank You Paul for your hard work and for fitting me into your day!

Excellent service, unbeatable price, and a provider you can really trust. No matter what we have had Cal's out for their price was always the lowest. They are super busy, but they are worth the wait because a trusted provider with excellent pricing is always in high demand. The only down side is they are so busy they only do local jobs.

My house was built in 1973. A section of the original black ABS PVC drain pipe in the basement had blown off from my bathroom sinks which didn't make any sense to me. Also, the PVC drain pipes in the basement from my kitchen sinks and dishwasher were corroded with lime buildup so there must have been some small leaks there. After reading Angie's plumbing reviews, I called Kal's Plumbing for a bid. Kal was at another job not far from my home so he came over that afternoon and I had him give me a quote on replacing all of the black drain pipe, which he said was the "first generation" of PVC piping used for plumbing back then and they use an improved version now. The following day, I called them back and accepted their bid. Dale came out and did the work and was done in a couple of hours. He used a white piping and used support bracing on the pipes. It has been working great ever since and it looks real good.

Response to my call was prompt and work was scheduled quickly! Arrived on time, canvas protection was laid down through the house to the work site, washer/dryer were also covered for protection. Dale, the installer, was friendly and thorough with an eye for the details!! He went above and beyond when he realized my output hoses to the laundry tub were trailing behind the washer/dryer and he moved it up and out of the way, he did an excellent job! I was excited to see this small but major improvement! He explained how the equipment worked and walked me through the demo of the unit. He cleaned up completely and took away every scrap no matter how small. I would definitely use Kal's again, they were nothing but 'top notch'! Thanks for making this encounter a great experience with home service/repair-because I've had plenty of bad ones!

Gas was capped off so he redid the connection and also made sure that the vent was configured right. This is the 2nd time I have used Kal's and I would use them again.

When I called Kal's, I left a message and Rick called me back before the end of the day to schedule an appointment. Dale (one of Kal's plumbers) was very friendly, efficient and clean. He even laid tarps down where he would be walking. I initially called about the leaking bathroom faucet but asked him to look at the laundry room faucet and one other minor issue. Dale was not sure if he would have time to fix the laundry room faucet as it needed to be replaced, but he was able to get it done too. Dale also took the time to take a look at a couple of other concerns my wife had. I highly recommend Kal's and will definitely use them again.

We called and told Rick that our water softner was leaking water on the overflow. He immediately came out and disconnected it. He recommended a new softner as the one we had was 25 years+ old. We agreed to a new one and within days his son came out on time and installed a new softner and took away the old one. It all went very smooth with no problems. I will be using them again as soon as another plumbing problem comes up. Thanks again Rick good job!!

I have used this small plumbing company for several years they are just terrific. They are prompt, friendly and very reasonable in pricing. They were suggested to me several years by a commercial plumber friend who said his company didn't handle small residential jobs and recommended Kal's. All three owners and employees are reliable and take time to explain things and needed repairs. I have never felt gouged or mislead. Rick, Matt or Dale are all professionals. I recommend them to everyone I see needing a plumber and nobody has complained yet. Over several years I have had to call them back twice when problems came up and they were prompt to get back to me honoring their one year labor warranty.

These are good people and they're very courteous and very friendly. Our valve for the outside faucet was totally of no use so we couldn't shut off our outside water to prepare for the winter season. They came here very soon because they knew that could be a serious problem. We asked him to do that other work but he couldn't because he had a funeral to attend. But he arranged for the other work, which wasn't critical to complete in a hurry, to be done 5 days later.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome company to work with. Plumber was very professional, offered some good advice and was great to work with. Will be doing business with them again. Great price and took old toilet away for a minimal charge. Worked quickly and left area clean. Terrific company to do business with.

Rick of Kal's Plumbing has amazing customer service. He has helped me a couple times replacing a garbage disposal and a faucet when I got a new countertop. He's always in a good mood, gives good advice and doesn't encourage me to spend money when it's not needed. He's punctual, responsive, and the finished work is especially well done.

Our water heater started leaking on Sunday. I called Kal on Monday and he fit me into a busy Holiday Week schedule right away. He was quick and clear about his bid and his price beat out all the competitors. Dale, the installer, was professional, cleaned up after himself and left me a very detailed note as to next steps with Rebates and City Permitting. This is a team of wonderful professionals that I'd recommend again in a heartbeat.

We've used Rick and his staff on several occasions (recommending/installing a new water heater/softener) and the service, including this job, have always been top notch. Because of the age of the fixtures for this project (shower head, tub faucet and drain cap which were original to the 35 yr old house), lots and lots of creative plumbing and problem solving were required. Not a problem for our service provider - he was able to handle all problems that came his way and did so with a smile on his face!! The new faucet turned out to be defective but that was not Rick's issue. What we can say, is that he quickly checked out the problem and just as quickly replaced the part without any extra charge and all is well! Rick has always been exceptionally responsive to any calls for service/questions (usually in a hour or two) that we had related to the type of issue/service we needed. He and his staff are excellent at their trade and definitely committed to excellent customer service. Of course, we never hope to have a plumbing issue but definitely know we can call Rick and the problem will be solved quickly and professionally.

Installer was out the next workday. He was in and out within two hours. Took the old heater with him for disposal. Gave me the price before starting, which I appreciated--very professional. Polite, informative, and left no mess. Will definitely call next time I need a plumber.

Super nice guy did the work, came to much less than I thought it would. Very organized and explained everything to me before proceeding.

All work was done in the time frame promised in a professional manner. Highly recommend KAL'S Plumbing. Would use their services again for whatever plumbing needs may arise. Four stars!

Great guys, happy to explain things, even replaced a leaking valve in the basement that was an "oh, by the way" kind of thing for just the cost of the parts.

I purchased a new faucet at Menard's over the weekend and left a message for Rick on Saturday afternoon. He returned my call first thing Monday morning and installed the faucet the very next morning. In addition to installing the faucet, Rick explained some of the quirks of the faucet, the warranty, and the service tools that came with the faucet. He also placed everything back under the kitchen sink and cleaned up after himself. Perfect! I have been using Kal's Plumbing for about 8yrs. I have always been pleased with their work and the prices they charge. It's a family run business, and they take pride in their work. If you live on the Northwest Side, you should definitely give Kal's a try. They won't try to upsell you on anything. They'll tell you straight, offer you a fair price, and get the work done ASAP. What more could you ask for?

Kal's Plumbing did an excellent job. They were punctual and professional to take care of our home during the installation process. When installing they also coordinated with our furnace installer to make sure the installation process was efficient. During the installation process of the gas water heater the installer also observed a faulty aspect of the installation of our water softner (they had not installed this equipment) and repaired this. Kal's installer brought the rebate paper work to the installation so that this was completed and submitted quickly. We are very happy with their work.

Kal's came out on a last minute leak on a Friday evening. Even though their calls were all done for the day, they took the time to come back to Plymouth and help us out. Took a few minutes to assess and start fixing the problem. I have used Kal's for three or four plumbing jobs over the last few years and they are always on time, responsive, and explain exactly what they are going to do.

Perfect....this company is the BEST! Have recommended them to others & all have been satisfied with the work done, price charged, etc. The only plumbers I will call.

Overall, the project went very well. They were prompt and provided me with a lot of helpful information and guidance for our project.
