American Water Damage specializes in water & mold clean up and restoration.
"I want to be really lenient because of staffing shortages, but working with American Water Damage was incredibly frustrating. We had a shower that the previous owners incorrectly installed and was slowly leaking into the walls. The salesperson who came out and examined the problem was super knowledgeable, gave a reasonable quote, and a good timeline for how long mitigation would take. His confidence is what made us proceed with the company, and it was all downhill from there. Scheduling was incredibly challenging, as no one would pick up the office phone and when they did they'd give incorrect information or say they'd have someone call us back (which they never did). Demo workers showed up outside of the scheduled time, and took all day whereas it had been scheduled for four hours. They took out much more than they needed (flooring that wasn't damaged and didn't have high moisture readings), then quoted needing to repair the entire ceiling/flooring in order to repair. It hadn't been communicated initially that daily checks would be required for mitigation work. Twice workers showed up outside of the scheduled appointment. It was incredibly hard for our insurance to get ahold of the company, and when they did American Water Damage dragged their feet providing information and photos. The project started in April and we didn't hear about starting repairs until late June. And then, despite multiple calls, we didn't get the final invoice for the demo until July (the invoice was also wrong and we had to renegotiate). We didn't end up using them for repairs because the demo and mitigation process was so ridiculous."

Hello, My name is Jordan Ramberg. My Family and I have lived and worked in his aea our whole lifes; cleaning, installing and restoring carpet for over 25 years. I have found that the best way to clean our carpet is with fresh clean water, the same way we clean our food and clothes. We use environmentally friendly chemicals to precondition and loosen dirt and grime. Then we rinse with fresh clean water to leave no residue, dirt or germs. We have a minimum charge of 3 rooms for $99.00 and one hallway free than its $25.00 a room after that, this is for our simple spray and clean method. If there is very bad traffic areas that need scrubbing it is an extra $50.00, pet treatment is an extra $50.00 also.

"Absolutely terrible experience. Time management, punctuality & quality craftsmanship were non existent. The list of mishaps is too long to share. Take the backsplash, for example. Marble herringbone was installed without spacers, tile was cut with a dry saw, while cutting tile they left the door open so dust was everywhere. We had to hire someone else to remove the tile (had to throw $500 of product away) & reinstall. Everything they touched in our house is a disaster - we can’t even put our fridge back in its spot because they didn’t level the flooring."

At first glance we may look like any other carpet cleaner, but we’re anything but that. Oxi Fresh has been designed from the ground up to provide the most effective, safest, and greenest Minnesota carpet cleaning possible. We don’t use traditional cleaning methods or solutions, because we don’t believe they can provide the quality Minnesota carpet cleanings people deserve. How exactly is our Minnesota carpet cleaning system different? It’s a green, low moisture, pile lifting cleaning system. Oxi Fresh’s cleaning method uses green carpet cleaning solutions - a powerful oxygenated booster and an encapsulator - that actively break up dirt and debris and then capture it all in microscopic crystals. And for our cleaning solutions to work, we only need 5% of the water a traditional Minnesota carpet cleaning company would use. Where most steam cleaners need 40-60 gallons of water to clean a home, we need two. That means after your Minnesota carpet cleaning, you’ll be back on your now dry carpets in about an hour! While it’s possible to install carpet yourself, it’s best to hire a local carpet installer to ensure it’s done correctly and safely. Before installing carpet yourself, check whether the manufacturer’s warranty will remain intact. Many manufacturer’s warranties won’t cover the cost of materials under the warranty if it wasn’t installed by a pro. In addition, you should only install carpet yourself if you’re familiar with the tools required and if the installation is straightforward, not involving things such as floor vents or stairs.
Keeping your new carpet clean is vital to extending its longevity. Vacuuming regularly—at least once a week—can help remove dirt, debris, and pet hair. Instead of waiting, treating stains as they appear helps keep your carpet fibers looking fresh. Remember to blot rather than rub, rubbing will only make the stain larger.
It’s ideal to hire a professional carpet cleaning service to conduct a deep cleaning of your carpets a few times per year. The cost of professional carpet cleaning is $180 on average, which can help remove tough stains, draw out hidden dust and allergens, and eliminate odors.
There are many different types of carpets for you to choose from. When choosing a carpet, it’s essential to consider the following:
Fiber: Describes what your carpet is made of, such as polyester, wool, nylon, or acrylic.
Pile type: Explains how your carpet looks. Your carpet fibers can be looped, twisted, cut, or woven.
Pile height: Describes the length of your carpet. You can choose a low, medium, or high pile.
Density: Refers to how close yarn fibers are to each other.
Carpets can last between five and 15 years. The longevity of your carpet is dependent on a few factors, including its type, cushion, fibers, and amount of foot traffic. The type of carpet you have paired with the material impacts its life span tremendously and the foot traffic it endures.
If your carpet is 20 years or older, replace it soon to avoid potential odors and overly-worn spots. You should consider replacing it sooner if it has stains, water damage, smelly odor, matting, or color loss.
The cost to install carpet is $1,780 on average for 330 square feet, the size of an average living room. This cost could range from $200 to $5,000, depending on the amount of carpet, material, and type of carpet.
If you need 500 square feet of carpet, it’ll cost $1,500 to $5,500, while 1,000 square feet of carpet costs $3,000 to $11,000. Polyester is one of the more affordable options, ranging from $1 to $3 per square foot. Wool is a more luxurious option, ranging from $4 to $20 per square foot.
