I'm a DIY'er for most things, partly because I like the work, and partly because I have a hard time justifying the cost. So before I hire anything out we always get at least 3 bids. For our irrigation system we got 2 bids from Angie's list and 2 from recommendations. John and team were very competitive from a pricing perspective, and although they weren't the cheapest (it was close) we decided to use them as John was very professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. During our appointment he took the time to explain the system, the difference in products on the market and benefits of their recommendation. On the day they came to install, I met everyone on the team. They were at our house on time, and the crew was very respectful & was willing to work around a few obstacles to get the job done. I had to leave before they were done, but it was such a pleasant surprise to come home to a beautiful looking yard & to see the driveway and surrounding areas cleaned & looking better than when I left. They also took the time to walk my wife through the system & give a detailed tutorial. This morning I cut one of the lines while digging, and I had water everywhere; worse of all I couldn't finish my project until it was fixed. I called John and within an hour Scott showed up. Scott was great to work with, and quickly fixed the puncture, and gave me a refresher on how to use the system, since I wasn't there for the first show. It's been a few months, the lawn looks great, and the sod has taken wonderfully. And I love the time saving benefits of the irrigation system. I didn't know if I would be able to justify the cost of an irrigation system at first, but after a whole summer last season of either forgetting to water my lawn, or remembering that the sprinkler was still on right after I climbed into bed at night, I honestly don't know what I'd do without it. It's a little luxury that is well worth the investment. I'd recommend John and company to anyone, and in fact already have. I'd gladly use them again and wouldn't even feel it necessary to shop them around. Once you find a great contractor you keep them.

AMAZING! Quick, Friendly very professional service. I called on a friday got a quote on tuesday had the work done on a thursday. They were very polite and knew exactly what needed to be fixed. the yard even looked nice after the work was finished and I expecting a yard that would need repairs. I would definitely call this company again if I needed more work done.

We are having a new driveway installed and had to repair a sprinkler head which was broken during the removal of the asphalt. We also thought some of the heads needed to be moved back a few inches. I left a message in the morning and a crew was at my house in the afternoon making the necessary adjustments. The two men were very easy to work with and advised me the sprinkler heads did not need to be moved back. They repaired the broken head and after testing it we discovered two more were leaking. This lead to them checking all (8 or 9) zones and adjusting each head and replacing a few more which were broken. I learned a lot from these two gentlemen and will definitely be using them in the future. A very pleasant and positive experience. Thanks for a job well done.

I chose Innovative Irrigation Specialists based on the reviews on Angie's List and the bid process. From the first meeting and estimate process through the installation, the services were communicated and scheduled well, executed quickly, professionally and dependably. The plumbing partner was professional and informative, explaining all that needed to happen to update the exterior plumbing to support the new irrigation system. He even helped me move a few boxes when I had not cleared enough space for proper access to do the work. John Sandberg's crew installed the irrigation system on a rainy day. I note that because there was a high likelihood that the installation would result in a muddy mess; however, that was not the case. The crew carefully attended to my lawn, garage access and rain gauge installation without undue tracking and waste. The foreman and crew were helpful and polite and left my house as neat as could be in a rainstorm. John came out to personally review the installation, talk me through the newly automated system and confirm that I was delighted with my decision and the crew's work. My neighbor is a former Rainbird sales rep, and he was thoroughly impressed with Innovative Irrigation Specialists' work in the lawn and the Hunter products. Six weeks later, my lawn and gardens are beautiful, and I am extremely pleased with the high quality service I received from Innovative Irrigation Specialists. I will continue to work with John and his crew for fall blow out and spring tune up services. I highly recommend them.

John is always responsive to calls for service. Always on time when given a time someone well arrive. His technicians are skillful and professional as is John himself. A pleasure to do business with.

We are extremely pleased with the work that John Sandberg, the owner, and his crew did. John had done an estimate in the fall, and the final cost was exactly the same as his estimate. I had been concerned that an irrigation system would be impossible for our lawn because we have a lot of trees! We have a birch, three kinds of maples (both hard and soft), huge white pines, several spruce, two huge cottonwoods, 5 oak trees, a green ash, and an apple tree. They had to go under the driveway to get to a piece of the lawn because a soft maple had roots that prevented them from another access route. About a week before the installation, a plumber, contacted by John and included in the price he quoted, installed the necessary plumbing. On the day of the installation, John and his crew, including Joe, Erik, Anthony, Sean, Mario, and Dan, arrived at 8:00 am. They were all very nice and professional and worked well together. John left to go to another site, and the crew finished at 1:00 pm. I would hire them again in a heart beat!

They got my sprinkler system up and running and solved a problem that had occurred because I had a new water softner installed and the main water valve was not completely open. This caused an issue with my sprinkler system because there was not enough water pressure to pop the heads up. Great investigative work by innovative irrigation and they took care of two issues, low water pressure and my sprinker system is now ready for the season.

They work with my schedule very well and are very good. I had a couple of companies come out, but I chose Innovative Irrigation Specialists. They were able to figure out how everything worked in the home I bought. The next Spring, it wasn't working and it turned out gophers had chewed a hole in it. They were able to figure out what was wrong. I have faith in them. They're really good. He's right on it if anything goes wrong.

A wonderful job performed by a team of professionals who have obviously worked together for a long time. Costly plants had to be avoided and sprinklers needed to be placed in pockets of rocks at varying elevations. Pipes had to be driven under 2 drives and several paths. .This job was professional right from the start. Innovative Irrigation was the 4th company that I asked to bid, but first to the job site. I was quoted before John left the site. His price was in the middle of the pack...and I believe was very, very fair. A small fleet of very clean and well signed vehicles turned up at 7:00 AM and was gone at 4:30 PM. without any sign that they had ever been here. During the day it was great to watch progress by a team that had every machine you could think of to get the job done. There was plenty of hand work too, as team members either worked their way around existing plants and rocks weighing hundreds of pounds or removed them and replaced them after the job was done. Good people, good design, good job, good price...well done!

John and his crew found the time during their busy winterizing season to spend a cold morning installing a full irrigation system in our yard. After reading reviews and comparing him to multiple other providers, not only did John work with the product I was looking for (Hunter), but he also came in at a lower price than those looking to install what I considered to be inferior products. To top it off, the ground was definitely not easy to work with as there were a lot of rocks and clay - but they got the whole thing set up as originally planned, and provided a map of the layout at my request as well. Since it was so late in the season, not much watering needed to be done, but after a couple days John came right back out to winterize the system and said he'd come back out in the Spring to show me how to use everything. Throughout the process John was easy to get in touch with, quick to send out information, and quick to return missed calls - as well as being very knowledgeable about his product and very easy to work with. I would very much recommend John and his team for your irrigation work, they do great work at a great price!!

Jon called me back promptly & multiple times, as I was difficult to reach. He scheduled within 24 hours and completed the winterization of our sprinklers, as well as our pond, advising us to keep the waterfall pump in our basement vs garage for the winter. This went very well. I normally was able to perform this service myself. Eric was quickly able to adapt my system to accommodate the connections required. Eric arrived pretty close to the time promised and was well within reasonable timelines given the normal delays that can occur.

John was very professional, friendly and fun. We have only lived in our home for 2 months. We will be using John in the future.

Second time using this provider. The provider was running late on my scheduled day. He did call and confirm it was still okay to arrive. Having a provider that appreciates my time is valuable. Pretty simple, blow out the sprinklers and winterize the system. No reason to change providers. Will use them again.

No problems at all. I contacted IIS a month ago when I was getting quotes for sprinkler winterization and again over the weekend when I was ready to schedule service. In both cases I had a response within 1 business day. IIS was able to come out a day after I scheduled service, much sooner than I thought I'd be able to get them out. I don't remember if it was John or an employee, but the guy was on time, friendly, and finished quickly. With the temps dropping rapidly, I was concerned the water might start freezing in the lines, so it was very much appreciated that they could come out so soon and at the end of their day to accommodate my schedule. Will definitely contract their services again.

We are a builder\remodeler completing a home in Corcoran on 1.6 acre lot where we needed to irrigate new sod. I had three companies come out and bid the job, and John was by far the most cost-effective and his detailed bid showed he was not any cutting corners. We had a well system at the property, and John showed a great deal of expertise and knowledge of what needed to be considered to make the system work well. He even had his plumber in over a weekend to ensure the crew could start and finish on the date he provided. Very professional crew, worked fast, and system worked great. On time and on budget. We will definately be contacting John again for our next irrigation system.

I initially got an estimate in December of 2013. Of all the estimates I got, his was the lowest. I mentioned this to him, that others were higher and he said something like his estimate was more than enough for the job. Made me feel like he wasn't out the take advantage of me. Anyway, this year was particularly wet and I thought I could water the yard myself, again. All was going good until it stopped raining in July. After a couple bouts with my hoses and sprinklers and battling the wind I decided to see if John would honor his bid from 7 months prior, he did! I sent him a down payment, 30%, unlike others that want 50%., and he worked me into his schedule in August 2014. Prior to install, his plumber, Ryan of Arctic Mechanical, came out to do the plumbing for the vacuum breaker. Ryan was great, quick and very professional. On the day of install John arrived first and laid out placement of the heads and started some digging. When his full crew arrived they got right to work. Every man had a specific job and the team worked like clockwork. They started after lunch and were finished by dinnertime. The team adjusted all the sprinkler heads then showed me how to adjust them, turn them on via the valve boxes, and showed me how to operate the timer, and they put the wireless rain sensor where I wanted it. They did not run the wiring up the outside of my garage but rather entered the garage low to the ground and ran the wire up on the inside. This makes for better esthetics outside. The next day I noticed a rotor not working properly and John promptly sent his guy out early the next morning to replace it. As luck would have it. The next day another rotor was leaking. Same story, John's guy came out early to fix it then decided to check the entire system and all the heads. Since then all has been working just fine. I waited to write this review until I was sure all was in proper working order and it is. I've had no problems with the system. The grass is healing well where the flexible pipe was installed and the rain sensor works just great. Having this irrigation system installed was painless and very little disruption to me. I'm going to use John to winterize and summerize my system.

I called the company and John the owner returned my call promptly. I explained that I had two other companies out and they were unable to locate or repair the problem. I explained the problem to him and stated that if he did not want to consider this repair, that was fine. he stated that he would certainly look at the problem. He arrived on time and located the problem in ten minutes. It took approximately 1 hour to complete the repair. I have recommended this company to two other people already.

Did a good job at setting up irrigation system for the season. Fixed leak in system and replaced broken rain sensor. Day after set up, noticed valve was leaking. Called and he came out after the weekend to repair broken valve. Just charged for parts and not labor.

We requested a visit via the web. I immediately received a call from them. The technician was out that week. We had a fence installed and needed a few heads moved. In addition, the technician took his time and made a few minor recommendations to us to ensure we were getting adequate water for our landscaping. We needed a second appointment because what we requested and what we really needed differed a bit. We were very happy with the technician that came out. Their office called us later that week to schedule the follow up visit. I appreciated their prompt response and quality work. Without a doubt, I would hire them again.

The owner of the company, John, is very knowledgeable of irrigation systems. He determined the best places to install the heads, valves, controller, etc. to make sure the whole lawn had adequate coverage. His plan used the best Hunter parts available to ensure a solid reliable system. John?s plumber, Jesse, came and did an excellent job installing the backflow valve and other piping necessary to connect the irrigation system. Next John and his crew arrived exactly on time at 7am the day of install. They worked about 7 hours straight without a break to complete the job. They did an OUTSTANDING installation. The whole crew was very efficient and professional. Each person seemed to know exactly what to do in order to complete the install correctly and efficiently. One person, Joe, seemed to be second in charge, and he was especially proficient in the whole operation of the install and operation of the system. Also, Joe did an excellent job installing all of the wiring and controller parts. After the install I was instructed in the operation of the controller and adjustment of the heads. The crew cleaned up the yard perfectly. Except for some slightly damaged grass that will repair itself with no problem, you wouldn?t know such extensive work was done that day. I highly recommend John and his company to anyone thinking about an irrigation system. I had absolutely no problems with the install, and final results. GREAT COMPANY!
