The tech is the owner of the company. He was prompt, professional and understanding of my immediate need. My former company closed abruptly, and I was left trying to figure it out, and Innovative responded immediately to my needs. In fact, he serviced the system beyond simply reactiving the irrigation system, he made some repairs and didn't charge extra. I will certainly use this company again, and highly recommend it.

I have used Innovative Irrigation for years. Great seasonal service, at a fair price, and they are awesome when I need a repair or emergency service. I recently had them upgrade my system to Hunter’s Hydrawise platform, and it’s been awesome. I can control the system from anywhere in the world using my iPhone, and because Innovative has access to my system as well, they know when there is an issue, and are usually addressing it before I even know it occurred. If you are looking to install a new irrigation system, or simply need someone to care for the one you already have, Innovative is the company to call. I simply cannot say enough good things about these folks!

the service technician arrived 45 minutes . I called to inquire about the whereabouts at 40 minutes late. left voicemail. owner called me back and said I was lucky they showed up at all...that I should be grateful...then hung up on me. The owner was rude and the service technician should have called me to me they were running late I will not be doing business with them again.

Very well. Job was performed on time, within scope, they spent time with us dialing in the system and putting the sprinkler heads exactly where we wanted them. At times, the team coached us into proper placement.

Short answer: it went great! John and his crew installed a total of 8 zones in the front and back yard, including a drip line, in about 6 hours. They even had to go under several sections of sidewalks/walkways. John was very friendly and professional throughout the process and quickly provided assistance after the system was installed when I thought a few of the sprinkler heads could be tweaked for better coverage. I asked John to install the WiFi module, which has made programming and control extremely simple. On the installation day, a member of John’s crew patiently walked me through the initial setup of the WiFi module and made sure it was working for me before they left. I could not be more satisfied with the sprinkler system and Innovative Irrigation Specialists.

We are glad we hired Innovative Irrigation Specialists to install our sprinklers and drip system. John (the owner) and his crew spent the time to listen and understand our needs, gave recommendations based on years of experience and also provided an on the spot quote which did not change at completion of work. Their follow through with everything was awesome and the workmanship and products used were good quality. Our sprinklers and drip system work great and even after a long hard day installing them, they spent as much time as was needed to show and explain how everything worked. We could not be happier! My husband had already turned on the water so they just had to check each station to make sure the sprinkler head was working and covering the correct area. They did that and replaced 3 or 4 sprinkler heads that they could not get moving or were very old. They checked with me and explained everything before doing any repairs. We had signed up and paid for the spring and fall service which does not include repairs, so those were extra.

John was always very attentive to my calls, many questions, and worries over the schedule (late winter and snowfall here in the Twin Cities). John was always professional, courteous, and responded to my calls. On the day of install John's crew further shined for Innovative Irrigation Specialists. The crew was proficient, knowledgeable, and were so detail oriented when it came to respecting the property and reducing any wear on the property from trenching. The crew gave me a walk through inspection and demo after the installation, and stayed with me while we configured the wifi controller. Great job to all!

John at Innovative Irrigation is the best you could ask for from an irrigation professional. John and his team installed my irrigation system four years ago, in 2014, allowing me to transform my lawn from a sandy patch of weeds to a lush green lawn. It's transformed my property. John listens. During the quote process, I had mentioned some backbreaking work I had just completed. A month or two later, when it came time to install, John mentioned to the crew "Make sure you're careful here putting in the box that no dirt gets in this area, he just finished redoing it." I hadn't made a big deal of it, I didn't even know I'd mentioned it, but John listened and remembered. John is knowledgeable. He's an expert on his products. He explained the pros and cons of different sprinkler head configurations, and even helped me set up a custom watering system for my raised bed gardens. Other contractors weren't as creative or knowledgeable. John is honest. An issue came up during the install that was outside of his control (unmarked line that utility missed), and the cost of it likely erased any profit he had on the job. He handled it professionally and without any anger, dealing directly with the utility to handle everything. John is responsive. If I have a question and reach out to him, I've got an answer within a day. He cares about his customers and making sure that their systems work properly. John has a great crew. Obviously a company's owner can't do an entire irrigation install himself or herself. John was on-site on the install day, and the crew did a great job of executing on the install. You owe it to yourself and to your project to give John a chance to quote out your irrigation project. If you're on the fence about installing a system or not, bite the bullet and get it done. Lawn and garden maintenance is very easy when it's getting the water plants need.

We had our sprinkler system turned off for the winter, but apparently one small sprinkler was being fed from another source. A hose ruptured and was gushing water an we could not find a shut off for the water. Not only did they make it out withing a few hours, since the problem turned out to be minor they fixed it for free even though it took over a half hour to get everything figured out! Could not recommend innovative enough!

John and the rest of the Innovative Irrigation Specialists team did an excellent job with our new system. They led us through the process from start to finish. They had excellent placement of our sprinkler heads (some of the types along our boardwalk that I always wished I had had) for great coverage. They also hooked us up with a water-saving wifi Hunter system to help decrease over/mis-watering during rainy/wet weather. The team helped me set up my app and guided me through the process to enable me to navigate the system before they left my house that day! John also helped connect our contractor with a company that places sod, and the results were amazing! When we had a slight miscommunication of how we wanted sod laid around a particular tree, John was on top of it - he connected with the other company right away and they corrected it before the day was through! All in all, John and his team exceeded my expectations and do excellent work! I would recommend them to anyone in need of sprinkler system installation or maintenance!!!

It was a little difficult to schedule.

Everything has been great and no issues with the system. We are out of state and renting out our home and John makes sure everything is taken care of so we have no worries. We accidentally cut the drip system when working in the yard and John took care of it immediately. I highly recommend them to anyone and can say that confidently after working with them for many years.

I simply cannot say enough good things about John (the owner) and his crew. His responses to all of my emails, texts, and calls were super fast. He even responded while he was on vacation! The quality of his work and that of his team was outstanding. When I arrived home the day of the repairs I could have sworn they had not been there because nothing looked disturbed. The price was more than fair considering how much time they spent repairing everything. John took time to explain exactly what they were going to do and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions. I was hoping to find a local company who could do the repairs and service our sprinklers and keep them working well. John EXCEEDED my expectations.
