I simply cannot say enough good things about John (the owner) and his crew. His responses to all of my emails, texts, and calls were super fast. He even responded while he was on vacation! The quality of his work and that of his team was outstanding. When I arrived home the day of the repairs I could have sworn they had not been there because nothing looked disturbed. The price was more than fair considering how much time they spent repairing everything. John took time to explain exactly what they were going to do and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions. I was hoping to find a local company who could do the repairs and service our sprinklers and keep them working well. John EXCEEDED my expectations.

From the moment that John (the owner) first walked the lot and prepared the cost estimate through the completion of the project I was impressed with the professionalism and special attention to details as well as care for our yard. His explanation of the Hunter products and services were invaluable. John's installation team was prompt, professional and very friendly. If you need an irrigation system and you care at all about how your yard looks you should call John.

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. John came out and was super quick when others from Angie's List didn't even respond. His guys were prompt and showed up at 7am and they were done in what I believe record time. It was pretty impressive to see them tunnel that much pipe in a "St. Paul neighborhood yard" that fast. I'm pretty techy and he told me about this company called Rachio and I took a chance and they installed it and we tested it. Fully automated irrigation system. Don't hire another company as long as John is at the helm.

I am pleased to give a high recommendation to John and his company! They were able to come out the day that we contacted them to blow out our sprinklers and repair our sprinkler heads. They quoted us $125 over the phone for the job, but it ended up taking longer than anticipated because there was more to the repair than we expected. Even with the extra time and effort required, they stayed true to their quoted price. John took the time to complete all the work even though it was late in the afternoon. Another one of his employees came out to blow out the sprinklers and hung around until the repairs were finished so could do so. In consulting Angie's List we were hoping to find a local company who could service our sprinklers and keep them working well. I'm happy to report, we have!

Showed up on time, installed without any problems. John offers a great service that gives you a free warranty (I can't remember if it's extended or lifetime), for $160 a year that also includes spring set up, and winterizing. John was very fair, and easy to deal with! -Adam

The owner, John, and his crew did a great job! John did the estimate himself in pouring down rain. He also provided a great packet of information, answered all my questions, and listed plenty of references. Prior to installation, there were some water flow issues at my house, but John dealt with the city directly, diagnosed the problem, and was on top of everything. The crew was prompt, professional, installation was quick, and they cleaned up nicely before leaving. Some modifications that I asked for regarding valve box placement were done exactly as requested. The crew lead, Joe, did a fantastic job, addressed all my questions, and gave me a good introduction to the controller and sprinkler heads. It's been about seven weeks since the installation, and I'm very happy with the system. I am surprised at how long it has taken for the signs of the water lines and shovel work to disappear. That said, it has been a hot summer and I'm still working out the ideal zone times and schedule. I would keep this in mind if you have a graduation party or similar event the same year you have one installed.

We were referred to Innovative Irrigation Specialists by a family member who had had a very positive experience. Ours was the same. John gave us a competitive bid and was very good at explaining the irrigation components he uses and answering my questions. He ended up being able to squeeze us into his schedule earlier than expected, meaning we had our irrigation system installed and running within a week of accepting his bid. John and his crew were truly professional, working efficiently and effectively, and with care and courtesy. The job was done in a matter of hours, and the scars on the yard from all the work were minimal. As they finished, I realized that a couple of the sprinkler heads had been installed in a location that would interfere with my swinging garage gate (I had removed the gate doors in an attempt to make their work easier, but doing so actually made it impossible for them to know where the gates would sit when left open). Without a single groan, they dug in and moved the heads a few inches over to fix the problem. All in all, I was very pleased with the work. They aren't the cheapest company out there, but you can tell it's because they take pride in doing things the right way and refuse to cut corners.

First of all, making the appointment was very easy. Whoever answers the phone at this company does an outstanding job. She is extremely responsive, friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure the appointment occurs without a hitch. Right on time the morning of the appointment. I liked the fact that they are open earlier than their competitors for both making appointments and performing services on site (7 a.m.). Very friendly technician, who gave solid, practical advice on what needed to be done. He did a great job and was a wonderful, friendly guy. I had a sense I could trust this company from the beginning (it all starts with the kind lady who makes the appointments and her responsiveness and quick follow up) and was not disappointed. Keep up the great work!

My system is 15 to 20 years old and is showing it's age with pipe connections that may not be able to handle the high pressure and sprinkler heads that have been hit one too many times with the lawn mower. John's responsiveness to my call was fantastic. We set an appointment to do the repairs and be at the house between 8 and 10 AM. John was there at 8AM with an employee with shovels in hand ready to fix the broken pipe. They were able to repair that pipe in short order and then tested the system. He found another line on another zone that had given way to the pressure and a sprinkler head that had blown out. The new broken connection was repaired quickly and a new sprinkler head installed. I'll be using Innovative Irrigation Specialists in the future. I know that I can depend on John to give me fast service at a fair price.

The Specialists arrived right on time and were very knowledgable on their product and service. This was my first time using them and I would recommend them to anyone. There's a reason why they have a high rating on Angie's List.

Innovative Irrigation Specialists gets an A++ for responsiveness - I was contacted within 2 hours of my email and set up service for the very next morning. Prices were reasonable, staff friendly, and very easy to work with. The only thing to be aware of is that they did show up 45 minutes earlier than our appt time - so be aware sometimes appt times can vary. But, it allowed me to get to work on time!

Response to our inquiry by email was within an hour of our service request. Came out the next day to take a look at it and give advice. Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, we will absolutely hire this company when we move forward with our project.

Innovative Irrigation was very responsive when I called them about winterizing my irrigation system. They returned my phone call within a few hours, and even though this is a very busy time of year for them, they were able to winterize my irrigation system the next day. They arrived promptly at the time we scheduled and quickly completed the work. I will be calling them again next year!

I had other similar bids to John's bid for our new irrigation system, but felt that he was more prompt, friendly, and explained all the parts and service in detail really well. He made it easy to chose his company for the job. The job was completed while I was at work, but he sent someone back to show us how to set up the control box and adjust the sprinkler heads. I emailed him about a service request recently, thinking that one of my sprinkler heads were actually stuck. John called me back the same day and offered to have someone out the next day. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the sprinkler head was working again, not sure what happened in between, but I called him back and cancelled the service request. I am very impressed with the level of service and care from Innovative Irrigation. If you're looking for a quality system and expect great customer service, John is your guy!

It went great. They did the entire job in one day and did an excellent job in clean up and repair of the grass. I was especially pleased at the handling of a cut line to a yard light pole. I hadn't marked the line so it was my fault but they just said they should have noticed the light themselves so they just fixed it. There were also 2 heads that were leaking after installation and they came out and fixed them on a Sunday with no complaint.

These guys were great. Very friendly, exceptionally professional, and the price couldn't be beat. High quality materials, and installed within days of the estimate. I would highly recommend John and his crew and will use him again for sure.
