I called a few companies to compare estimates for basement mold remediation. Tom was the most responsive. Upon seeing our issue, he explained that he would be happy to provide the service, but that it would not be too difficult for us to fix ourselves. He provided detailed, step-by-step instruction for us to kill the mold and save the $700 it would cost to have a company do it. I thoroughly appreciated his honesty and integrity, as well as the mold 101 education -- he is extremely knowledgeable and skilled at conveying the most important information to a layperson like me. We will take the DIY approach for this project, and hopefully never have a mold situation requiring his service again, but if we do, Tom would be my first call.

It went well. Tom knows his work and took the time to go through things with us. I'm hoping we didn't put him too far behind today. Thank you Tom; we really appreciate you and will recommend you to others.

The work was done promptly and very professionally. The technician removed the contaminated sheet rock and insulation and treated the area with an anti-microbial paint. He was very conscientious about protecting our flooring and cleaning the area where the remediation was done. We received the official remediation report the next business day after the remediation. The price was very fair.

Tom's first question of me after he looked the "big problem" over was, "do you really want to spend $700 on this?"...I of course, said No, but will do whatever is needed to fix the problem. I was preparing myself for an even bigger number and even more work. Then he says something along the lines of ....how about $30 dollars and I tell you what you can do instead of my guys. I can't direct quote because I was in shock.....WHAT!!! I couldn't believe it! I didn't have a "big problem". He then let me furiously take notes on what I could do (with products I already have in my home) and the paint product I could buy at a local hardware store. THEN, he took it one step further and walked me outside to give me some additional suggestions on how to mitigate any future issues with additional do-it-yourself tips based on the soil around the area. Cost: $0.00 Money that can go into other necessary projects this spring following his directions: $670. If I ever do have any serious issues, there is no question - this is the guy I am going to call.

Super job. We were panicked, and Tom (the owner) was great. He explained everything that had occurred, what condition the basement was in, what needed to be done and how they could do it. He was very reassuring and very knowledgeable. When the work was done, the guys - Mark and Frank - were great. We couldn't be more pleased. This company is a top-notch operation start to finish. They are all super guys, personable and knowledgeable. They covered the items that couldn't be moved with plastic to protect them, tore out the bad stuff and cleaned, sanitized and sealed the walls. We were informed of every step and they did a beautiful job and didn't leave a speck of dust... Hopefully, we will never have mold again, but if we did, there would be no one else we would call. Not only was the service outstanding, but the price was less than half of the other estimates. I wish there was an A+++ rating.

After leaving a message to try to schedule service, it was not returned, so we took care of the issue ourselves. Dissapointed since they are so highly recommended on Angie's List.

Great. He was very responsive with his call back as well as scheduling the consult. I knew what he was going to do before he came. There were no unexpected charges. Because our job was within the guidelines for a homeowner to tackle, he gave us all the information we needed to go out and buy the right product and do it ourselves safely. We are so grateful for his honesty and knowledge.

Tom came to my home and inspected all of the areas that I was concerned with. After confirming that there was not a mold problem he directed me to several helpful websites that contained further information on mold and it's "dangers". He put my mind at ease and gave me several ideas to prevent water issues in the future. He was very honest and kind.

Tom arrived on time in pouring rain. He was patient with all my questions and gave me time to take a bunch of notes. I know practically nothing about home maintenance, so when Tom took the time to explain things to me about sheetrock and moisture indicators and all of that I really appreciated it. Who does that anymore? My parents owned their own business and he reminded me of them in his honest approach to business and customers. Smart and nice guy. Really knows his field. I can see why his Company is rated so high on Angie's list.

I am off to buy the two products Tom suggested. I will report back in a week - but I am confident that the process Tom described will resolve my mold issue. Tom was incredibly helpful. I can see why he is rated so highly by the members of Angie's List. I am thoroughly impressed after just one phone call!

It has been over 1 week and never got a call back. Very unprofessional.

They were courtious, personable and very competent. They hustled and got the job done. Thyey also were able to identify the probable water source for the leaking chimney (that damaged the carpet). That repair was out of scope for the job, but will be done shortly. The attention to detail on the job, that they were contracted to do, plus pointing out the less than obvious cause for the chimney leaking water, I would not hesitate to hire them again if I ever need their service. They gave me plenty of tips on how to avoid conditions that would contribute to mold growth. Improve landscaping, downspout placement, etc.

Tom called me back and listened to my description of the problem in the basement. He felt the problem was able to be addressed without professional services so he advised me on ways I could handle the issue myself and what steps to take. I appreciated the time.

There is a reason Tom gets such good reviews...he is the guy you call if you have mold. I found mold growing in the furnace room of my basement, and had Tom out to inspect it. After a thorough inspection he showed me how simple it is to fix myself. If it were a bigger project, I would have hired him and his team to handle it. He is very knowledgeable about mold and moisture, and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend.

Tom and Frank were great to work with. Tom was very helpful with explaining what they would do and provided two quotes depending on the scenario that unfolded once it became clear what areas were affected by mold. Frank did the work within the estimated time (1 day). Tom and Frank were able to address our concerns about using products that might produce toxic air quality throughout the process. Both Tom and Frank were helpful with tips to prevent future moisture issues.

Tom is a great guy with a lot of experience. He came out to the house a day after I called him since I let him know we were under some tight deadlines from our relocation company. I appreciated his quick response GREATLY! He was able to line Frank up to come out to do the remediation within a couple of days. Relocating/moving can be very stressful with so many things to do, but the service we received was excellent and was glad to get this crossed off my list.

Tom gave us specific products to buy and clear instructions on how to proceed on our own. He was a great help to us and his excellent consultation didn't cost us anything. We bought the products he told us to buy and followed all of his instructions. After treating the closet walls and the floor molding with the products Tom recommended, we decided to replace a lower section of the sheet rock and then repainted the entire closet. Everything worked out great. The closet is now clean and treated and mold free. With Tom's free guidance we were able to get everything done on our own for around $170. Tom was so helpful and, obviously, wasn't pushing his own services but trying to meet our needs. I would recommend Tom without hesitation if you have mold concerns.

I guess they were OK, but for $3500 I guess I expected a little more involvement and a far more professional final report.

Tom (the owner) was easy to reach, readily responsive and really went out of his way to help us out as we had some important scheduling considerations. He was on time, discreet and thorough. He also had samples of the labels of the products he recommended and specific instructions on how to proceed. The products were available at local hardware stores. He was up front with what his costs would be both for the inspection and for any remediation. He offered information on mold growth, causes, concerns and prevention that came from VALID sources, such as the CDC and Minnesota Dept of Public Health. The report of his inspection and evaluation was gotten to us in a very timely manner. I definitely recommend his services to anyone that needs them. .

I left a message for Tom and in less than 15 minutes I received a call back. I explained my situation, and after a couple of questions, we determined that I don't have mold in my basement, but Efflorescence. He told me how it occurs, how to remove it (tide, vinegar and water) and that I did not need to contract his services. Talk about an honest guy? Didn't charge me for the consultation, really knows his business, and was extremely kind to boot. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom for any task - this isn't a guy that will take you for a ride and charge for unnecessary items. THANK YOU!

What a great experience! Tom was thorough, yet explained in terms I could understand the issues in my basement during the inspection. He never tried to "sell" me anything...he pointed out the areas of concern and explained what needed to be done to treat the areas. He also did not over remediate - he kept to the areas that needed work - and pointed out areas which did not have issues (areas that I thought were problematic). He took all of the information and quickly turned around a proposal. It is important to me to work with someone who doesn't look for extra work - someone who is reputable and who does not try to make extra work. Tom earned my trust during his inspection. Frank did the mold removal and remediation. He was on time to start the job. He used a HEPA air scrubber to make sure that the mold was contained. Frank worked efficiently, removing sheet rock, carpeting, shower stall, and a wall area. He treated all of the areas. He also removed all of the debris. He also cleaned all of the areas thoroughly. The carpet was a mess with the padding glued to the floor. Frank scraped all of the padding off the floor. I could not believe how quickly he completed the job and how great the basement looked. I feel much better knowing that the mold has been removed. Both Tom and Frank were personable, friendly guys. Great outlook and positive guys. They are both dog lovers - very helpful with my protective dog in the house. I highly recommend this company and these guys. As I said before - it was a great experience.
