Description of Work: I called up Tom after reading his many rave reviews here on Angie's List and you were all correct- he is the best! I have had water in my basement a few times and had found mold in a cabinet area and on the walls in the room with my sump pump. This has caused me much stress worrying about what I am "not" seeing and the extent of my mold problem. I called Tom yesterday, we spoke briefly and he had time to come out today and check out the space. Besides the obvious mold growth he found some mold behind baseboards and told me how I could fix it myself and gave me recommendations for products to purchase. The problem is minor and easily fixable and has completely put my mind at ease. Also besides knowing his stuff inside and out, he is interesting and kind-natured. I would absolutely use him again and send his info onto anyone needing his services.

Description of Work: We called Tom because we suspected that we potentially had a very minor mold problem in our unfinished basement. I explained, in detail, what I was observing and Tom listened intently, asked a few questions and then educated me on what I was seeing, why it occurred and how to easily fix it. Well I was relieved that we didn't have the dreaded "Black Mold" problem that you hear about on TV but that we had a simple issue that could be inexpensively fixed! When I asked Tom how much I owed him, He told me "No Charge" unless I have to come out and perform an inspection which you don't need! Tom could have charged me, but he didn't! He gets five stars from me and if I ever do need an inspection, I'll call Tom because he earned my trust and my respect!

Description of Work: I discovered black mold in my bathroom ceiling while preparing it for painting. Certified Mold inspected the area and went into my attic to find the cause. He was very thorough and provided me with advice and a small amount of cleaner to resolve the near term issue and to fix the problem long term.

Description of Work: Reqired mold inspection after water penetration in lower level of home for about a year. J. was very professional and did not push his firm for doing the repairs. He just gave us a very honest and accurate appraisal of the mold situation and offered several plans of action. If future work is necessary, would not hesitate to ask him to bid on same. Very experienced and knowledgable.

Description of Work: We have a dark purple area on our kitchen linoleum which has been growing for many years. Tom answered the phone immediately and scheduled a timely appointment. He also answered our questions on the phone ahead of time. He arrived a few minutes early, waiting in the driveway until closer to appointment time. He took the time to investigate thoroughly, including crawling under the floor space, and talking with us the whole way, addressing our concerns and telling us what he thought, and concluding that it was not mold.

Description of Work: I REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE FOR MOLD REMOVAL AND TOM CAME TO MY HOME AND GAVE ME AN HONEST ASSESSMENT OF OUR NEEDS. INSTEAD OF GIVING ME AN ESTIMATE AND THEN COMPLETING THE WORK FOR ME, HE SUGGESTED THAT I MAY BE ABLE TO DO THE WORK MYSELF SINCE THE PROBLEM WAS NOT AS BAD AS I HAD THOUGHT. HE PROVIDED ME WITH MUCH NEEDED INFORMATION REGARDING MOLD AND THE IT'S REMOVAL. HE WAS VERY THOROUGH AND PRESENTED THE INFORMATION IN TERMS THAT WERE EASY FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND. ALTHOUGH HE SPENT OVER AN HOUR WITH ME, HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE HOUSE CALL NOR THE ESTIMATE/INFORMATION. IF I NEED THIS TYPE OF SERVICE IN THE FUTURE, I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE HIM.
