Description of Work: Installed chain link fence. The fence is good. The gates are not perfect. Communication is lacking. After I paid 1/2 I didn't hear from the company. I called after more than a week went by and the owner indicated the supplies had to be ordered and he would let me know when they would come out. He acted like he wasn't aware the job was on the books and wanted to know how long I had been waiting. The installers didn't have the tools they need for the gates. They said the tools were in another truck. One of the installers called the owner and he said he would come out the next morning himself to finish the job. I paid in full that day and haven't heard from them again. No one came out to fix the gates or the scratched in the paint.

Description of Work: Took out the old fence,replaced with new. Gave me an estimate within one day of contacting them which pleasantly surprised me. Came when they said they would, were careful with my plants,did a nice job--new fence looks great. Price was about $500 lower than other bids.

Description of Work: Ornamental fence and chain link fence back half of large yard. They were the cheapest and most knowledgable. The fence was up in 2 1/2 days. He even came back and took part of it down when I had an issue with a neighbor free of charge.

 + -1 moreIt was very postive. The owner, Rob Welch, went beyond the call of duty. He gave me some recommendations and he even went to Menards to get the underlay for the fence. The clean-up was outstanding, there was not even a chip of cement left. He matched the quote with another service provider.
Description of Work: They tore out concrete and hauled it away. They also tore out the privacy fence. They replaced it with a chain link fence.

 + -1 moreTHE NEW FENCE. Rob, Top Notch Fence's owner, perused the property and provided an estimate the week prior to the scheduled work. We settled on a three-day construction period, beginning 17 August 2010 with a project completion date of 19 August 2010. Rob and his team were not able to arrive at the agreed-upon time; however, he called ahead to apprise us and, immediately upon their arrival, the team began working. The team worked well into the evening, which more than compensated for the late start. They worked hard and they worked efficiently. They completed the work on 18 August 2010 -- one day ahead of schedule. They did a beautiful job. They were meticulous on measurements, board selection, and board matching. Rob and his team cleaned up after themselves. Visitors who saw the fence that week could not believe that the team was there just a few days earlier. The work was so impressive that many of our friends and neighbors have asked us for the fence company's contact information. This job will probably morph into many others. In fact, earlier this year, Top Notch Fence built a new fence for our next door neighbor and it, too, is a beautiful job. We highly recommend Top Notch Fence.
Description of Work: Complete tear-out of existing cyclone fence and replacement with six-foot wood fence. BACKGROUND. The cyclone fence was built in 2003 by another service provider and that was a poor job. Because seven years have passed since that experience, I cannot submit an Angie's List report. However, if any member chooses to contact me, I'll apprise him of the vendor's identity.

 + 0 moreThey are AMAZING!!! I would say that these guys are the BEST out there for aluminum fencing!!! Their pricing was incomparable to anyone else we checked with. Quality was outstanding. Rob was good about getting back to me and also spending time to find the best pricing and quality for what we needed. Don't look anywhere else... you will not find quality that is just as good, if not better, than other companies charging 2-3x what we were priced at.
Description of Work: Ameristar Echelon Plus Genesis - Commercial-Grade ornamental aluminum fencing. Apprx. 170' of 6' high fencing w/ puppy panel, triads, ball caps, and (1) 4'x6' gate w/ magna latch lock. They also removed about 40' of old chain-link fencing w/ cemented posts.
