Top Notch Fence

Never bothered calling back. Called him. He answered but not saying company name. Did not even know if I had a company or a private number. Asked him why he never bothered calling back. Did not really give a reason. Told him not to even bother calling back. Already hired someone else. VERY poor customer service. Guess he does not even want the business. Fine with me. Plenty of others that want the business. Would NOT recommend this outfit to anyone!

He was fantastic, did a great job and worked with neighbors to ensure their chain link gates could stay up as they requested. He built it as the snow was ready to fall and was prompt, professional and friendly. I highly recommend him. Please, please be patient if it takes him a couple of days to get back to you. He is a one-man operation and keeps his prices competitive by not having a lot of overhead. Understand that if answers your phone on the first ring that it's taking him away from building someone else's fence. Great job - thank you!

Rob and his crew at Top Notch Fence were amazing!! They came out to install our fence on short notice during the busy summer season and provided exceptional service! We would highly recommend Top Notch to anybody looking for fence purchase or installation.

The entire project from beginning to finish was great. I received quotes from 7 other fence contractors and I felt Rob offered the best estimate to complete my project. Rob was responsive to my phone calls and arrived on time for our scheduled estimate. Rob and his crew did a great job and went the extra mile to ensure the fence was installed properly with all the roots and buried brick along my property line that were in the way of the post setting. The entire project took 3 days and I can't say enough how great the fence turned out. I would certainly recommend Top Notch to all my friends and family.

Rob and his crew are the way to go if you need a fence. We recieved bids from 6 different fence companies and Top Notch was the best of those by far. Not only did they have the best pricing, but that pricing came with a really gret product. Rob was the most professional when he came out to our home for the bid. Unlike some of the other bids that we recieved, Rob came with examples of what he would be installing and had broceures to show the different styles we could choose from. We had to wait a few weeks for the install to begin as we had to order specific gates that we decided to go with. The crew arrived on time and worked late in the day, they finished the fence in two days as promised. The Fence looks great!! Top Notch is the way to go if you need a fence!!! I would use them again!!

I called to get an estimate for storm damage repair on my chain link fence The person I spoke with said he needed to get his schedule and would call me back. He never called back even after I called one more time and left my name and number. I would have probably hired this company if I had gotten a response!! I will not bother to call again.

he was excellent. he measured exactly and gave us an accurate price. his work was superb. we loved the fence! he would always call back right away if he missed my call.

Began work as scheduled and finished in 3 days time. His entire crew was polite and really hard workers, at it all day in the heat. Still they cleaned up every day and really took pride in their work. We asked for three bids. One was a no show. The other two bids were competitive and we liked them both but Rob was able to complete the work in three days.

I got three bids from the project. I was most impressed from the start with Robert and TOP Notch. He was on time to the bid, got pricing quickly, was responsive to my questions. Helped my two neighbors out on either side of us. And in the end he won the bid because he was the best of any of the other places we looked at. The crew was amazing. Rob, the owner, was on site with them and working right alongside of the crew the entire time. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was wonderful.

It went well. Rob was very responsive to my call and was prompt to return my messages. There was a slight miscommuncation in the proposal but he more than made up for it by completing the job in an expedient manner. Will definitely recommend him to other people I know.

I contacted Top Notch to give me a quote on fencing for our yard. We also called 2 other companies from Angies list . It took about a week to get Rob over to check out our place but with the bad weather scheduling was a little tricky . He still kept our appointment and wrote up an estimate on the spot. After checking pricing with other companies we decided to go with Top Notch as the price was competitive for the amount of fencing we required . The fence was installed about 2 weeks later . Rob's crew came by our house and worked non-stop to get the fence installed in one day . Were happy with the final results as it gives our backyard a lot of privacy and adds to the character of our house . Our daughter can safely play out back now . The only negative was the workers left behind a lot of gravel/dirt in one spot in our yard that had been pulled up to install the fence posts so we have to remove this ourselves. Otherwise we are very happy and will look to Top Notch again in the future when we need our front yard fenced in . Thanks Rob and team !

Called and spoke with Rob about coming out to give us a quote. Left work early to meet him and (after leaving work) got a voicemail that he couldn't make the appointment. Tried calling back to setup another time and his voicemail was full. Called the next day a left a message, but he never returned my call. I understand if you're too busy to take on new projects, but if that's the case don't commit to appointments, no-show and not call people back. Extremely unprofessional.

We hired Top Notch to install a fence in our backyard. They were not promt in starting the job; I had to call them and confirm a couple of times when they were coming. They did work with us on changes that needed to be done but after discussions.

Rob was extremely response both over the phone and over e-mail. I had to remind some of his competitors to get back to me, but never had that experience with Rob. His price was very fair and slightly below his competition, but not so much so to cause concern. He was very up front about when he thought he could get to our job and was on the mark with everything he promised. The fence looks great, the service was great and I couldn't have been happier with the experience.

Rob delivered on time and completed the fence a day earlier than we expected. This was a huge plus, as timing, price and reliability were all factors in our decision making process. He paid great attention to detail to the way the fence was placed, and the high grade fence materials I really wanted. Other companies pushed lower level materials, but Rob understood our need to house a 100lb German Shepherd, and we wanted that extra assurance. The price was the same as others with the lesser quality aluminum fence, Rob provided a better grade steel product. The posts at the bottom were lined up perfectly, as many other fences have gaps. Rob knew this was a concern, and made sure each panel was placed exactly the way we needed them to be.

The owner, Rob Welch, was on the job at all times and was responsive, and punctual. He meet all his appointments on time and very professionally. He offered suggestions without pressure and followed through on all our requests. I would highly recommend this contractor.

so I set up an appointment with Robert at 9am on a Monday morning. At 10am, having heard or seen no sign of him, I called. Robert answered and I told him about the missed appointment. He did not apologize right away but asked if it was okay for him to come out later that night. I asked what happened to 9am and only then did he say something about one of his employees canceling on him, etc. I asked him why he wouldn't call to let me know all that, and he admitted he should have. He then said what probably happened is he forgot to write down my appointment. All in all, this was a very unprofessional experience. It's one thing for unforeseen circumstances to cause you to be unable to keep an appointment. These things happen to everyone from time to time. It's another thing altogether to not even pick up the phone to let someone waiting on you know. Or, in this case, it seems like poor organization may have also led to not knowing there even was an appointment (both excuses were used, so I'm not sure of the full story). Why would I want to hire anyone for a job that costs thousands of dollars when they are so careless about the most important part - the first impression?

We reached out to Top Notch Fence to get an estimate on repair and/or replacement of an existing picket fence. We received a response via email to call and schedule a date/time for someone to look at the fence and provide an estimate. The agreed time was a Saturday at 9:00 AM. No one showed up so we called again and around 11:30 AM and was told someone would come over around early afternoon. We later received a call and was told they could not make it due to vehicle problems. We next schedule at time at 6:30 PM on Monday and once again no one showed up to do the estimate. At this point we were not impressed nor wanted to pursue services from Top Notch based upon this initial experience.

Rob the owner was great! They had very hot weather to deal with. I have never had a fence installed and didn't realize the work that is involved. I had three other bids and Top Notch was very competitive. I love my new cedar looking vinyl fence. The guys he had working with him were great guys. I would highly recommend Top Notch to anyone looking for a new fence. I like that he is an owner/operator of his business.

Everything went great - installation was done at the time they told me it would be when I signed the contract, they did a great job installing the fence and following my request to add posts instead of attaching it into my brick house, and the hinges and latches on the gates are nice beefy ones that look great and are very sturdy. Overall a great experience and we've already recommended them to friends. Thank you!

They were timely and did the work in a bad weather. I would use their service in the future too.
